"The love of the heart of Jesus hidden in the darkness."

How I love my new icon of Our Lady of Guadalupe brought back from Mexico and blessed at the shrine of Our Lady!  Thank you so much dear son-in-law, Billy!  Little 3 year old Bernadette knows that she loves her spiritual Mother of God.

This was shared on FB and fills me with The Truth of how Our Lady bears Christ to the world and how we are called to follow her example with her help to bring Jesus/LIGHT/LOVE/LIFE into our world!
As women and girls we are especially blessed to have Our Lady with us each day of our journey.  We are called differently to bear life into the world and to raise them as LIGHTS!  It is such an honor and a privilege to be called to Motherhood!  I feel so strongly that all else that I do in life is a far distant second to being a mother and I should add to that a good wife to my Most Cherished Cross/husband.  I find that second part much harder and truly a day by day need for the Sacrament of Matrimony to be at work in my marriage.  I have felt that just as we can receive The Eucharist or The Sacrament of Reconciliation each day - we also look to our Sacramental uniting as one in The Sacrament of Marriage as a daily grace needed to go forth together forever.
Such a precious look of love - recognizing the beautiful Lady - Our Spiritual Mother of God and heaven and earth!  She seems to be standing there with her arms wide and her lap and arms there to hold us close at this time of distress in this world.

Today in the Gospel... Jesus chases out the those "selling things" in the temple making it into a "den of thieves."  Luke 19  He asks of us to clean out our temple, and to focus on what really matters in life... our Faith and Family and for us our Farm, which is a way of life and not just a job!  I don't know about you, but I see that I need to clean out my temple and rid myself of my selfish attitudes and die to self so that Jesus/The Holy Spirit can live and work though me!  There is a powerful image in the first reading from Maccabees 4 of rededicating the temple after it had been damaged by evil - All the people prostrated themselves and adored and praised Heaven...
Lord, life is kind of nuts these days and I am not doing the best at handling all the ups and downs and twists and turns and hurts and joys and questions with no answers and plus and minuses... Yes, I cling to my Faith and all that is pours upon me with each new day - I am given so many graces from Your Word, the Sacraments and the Sacrament of Matrimony being one that helps me along daily, Our Lady always loving and comforting and showing me Jesus in the darkness, The Saints - I love, love, love them and all that they show me on how to persevere without counting the cost, Jesus, may I rid my temple of all that comes between us.  The idols of me, myself and I... I want only you to live and work in me and my Faith/Family/Farm!  Jesus, I trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
This weekend I get my two farm granddaughters for an overnight!  I am excited!  Bless-bless, Barbara Luke
John with his grandma and Godson a few weeks back after sharing The Eucharist with her.  John is home doctoring a cold... he speaks twice this weekend - Farm Bureau and sharing his story at St Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield at 7:30p on Sunday.  Lord, we thank you for John's healing.  May his words be led by your Spirit to touch and change hearts to be more yours!
