Tuesday of Holy Week - reminded of betrayal and temptations we face.

Roger the dog goes out to meet the grandkids coming up the driveway off the bus yesterday.  I feel like I have stepped back in time to when their mom and siblings would troop up the driveway and I would have a snack ready for them and listen to their reports of the day.  Looking around at the open and lightfilled home they have made for their big move in a few days.  Truly they are going to be a farm family, and that is a wonderful future for my husband.
Luke and Rose playing at great-grandma's house the other day.

My day is over half over and it is always harder for me to expound after many things have interrupted my thoughts.  I got as far as my title for my sharing today after we had prayed and read the readings together this morning.  The Gospel is the Last Supper and the betrayal of Judas, who is used by Satan to give Jesus to those that continually want to kill him, and now is the time!  Holy Week is leading us to the final chapter it seems, but not to be so... Easter JOY is where it leads and then The Holy Spirit comes to fill us with everlasting LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT!
Great-grandma joins in with the play time!

We all are tempted and Satan is alive and well and constantly misleading and lying to those that will believe in the sin and darkness that he spreads.  The lies of Satan have become what is believed and followed...  that we are in control of our bodies and our families and that we are to strive for more and more stuff and limit our family so that we can have more stuff and less family.  We are told to desire things more than siblings.  How can they compare?  We are told that taking the life of an unborn baby in the womb is fine if the mother wants it, but to hurt or take the life of an animal is so much worse.  How do we sift out the lies and temptations of Satan and cling to Jesus and His Bride, The Church?  Yes, that it how we find the narrow path to Salvation and Eternal LIFE forever with Jesus - His Word, the Sacraments and The Truth shared by The Church, The Saints and Our Lady at the head.  We have so much help to follow after Jesus!
"Will you lay down your life for me?  Amen, amen, I say to you, the cock will not crow before you deny me three times."  Jesus to Peter in the Gospel today.  Yes, we are tempted, fail and deny our Lord by sinning.  We are given his unconditional love and forgiveness without end.
My pictures are back for a few days where they had been in our family room - soon to be Ruth and Paul's bedroom.  It could all happen in a couple days - "Good Friday is the day mom."
Luke taking a nap in our bed in what will be his mom and dad's room in a few days.  We are all excited and ready for the big change.

Jesus, we fail so often, yet our heart is set on being forever with you in heaven.  The Wisdom of The Church is there to help us find the narrow path to the Way, the Truth and the LIFE - Jesus Christ!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb
Soon the carpeting then the furniture... Easter at the farm?
Frisky and healthy calves - praying that all the snow misses us.  Lord, thank you for a good year of calving.  Yes, it is a lot of hard and vigilant work, but we also rely on the Lord in control.
A shiny healthy baby calf and curious too.
May we share your darkness this week, O Lord, and then bask in the Easter LIGHT.  If life was all good and no bad.. the good would not be nearly as good!
So sad for more horrible attacks today!
