Spirit of Thanksgiviing... "glorifying God in a loud voice; and he fell at his feet and thanked him." Luke 17

Today is Patrick's 4th birthday!  How the memories and thanksgiving fills me to the brim on this most amazing anniversary/birthday of our sweet miracle, Patrick Joseph!
I know that Patrick and his family spent the night camping in a tent in Missouri last night, and that he was so excited to spend his birthday having a wild adventure camping as a family!  I am sure there were those moments of angst, and those great family times of sharing a meal around a campfire to offset maybe the sleepless night.  Definitely a birthday he will always remember!  "That year we went camping in the cool fall weather."  Thankfully it was warmer than here as we had our first hard frost last night!
Patrick is starting to learn in the homeschool environment he is blessed to have.  Being in the military and the constant moving around, Maria has taken this on with her soon to be 5 kids.  Patrick sat next to grandma and read books of identifying animals, reptiles and birds.  Way to go, Patrick!  He gets taught with love by his two older siblings and I am sure he will return that with his younger brother and sister.  So much gratitude for the healing and health of our precious grandson, Patrick!
Pat getting the Eucharist for us to take to him mother this morning in our gloriously beautiful church.  I was admiring the reflection of the fall display on the marble flooring... a delight to my heart, mind and soul this day... sharing mass with Ruth, Paul and their 5 kids always makes it a joyful occasion of sharing Mass!

We are reminded in the Gospel today as well as the first reading from 2Kings that we are to return to our Lord, on our knees in prayer, and give him the Praise and Thanksgiving he is due!  John reminded me of the powerful healing/recognized by all as it is their flesh coming back together and "his flesh became again that of a little child."  Most healings we have experienced are hidden/within the body, mind and spirit of a person or child.  Leprosy caused huge sores and lesions on faces and hands - places where it is quite visible and therefore they were cast out as unclean.  Not only were there lesions, but noses would fall off your face and ears and fingers and toes and arms and legs... imagine the transformation in that person with the healing... so obvious and such a huge transformation to the eyes of all around them!
Such beauty all around town!

Although Christ gave the 10 lepers an order to go and present themselves to the priest, and on the way they were healed!  The others continued on, which is necessary for them to be deemed "clean" and able to enter the society again.  But the one came back "glorifying God in a loud voice; and he fell at the feet of Jesus and thanked him... "Stand up and go; your Faith has saved you."  Jesus seemed disappointed that only one foreigner returned... what does this say to us?  We need to loudly and without hesitation give Jesus all the thanksgiving and all the credit for the healing that takes place in our lives!  The requirements of The Law given us by The Church are what helps us get to heaven, and we look to those dogmas and Truths to help us down the narrow path!  Yet, we nee to remind all those we encounter that it is all from Christ and all the Praise/Thanksgiving/Hallelujah is due to him!  We can even thank him for those hardships that work at chipping away at our pride and our selfishness and allow us more and more to be Christ's hands and feet!
Back at harvest today after the rains - 2 inches in this last week!  Lord, be with all the farmers keeping them safe and sane.

Just as John feels that with his healing and finding Faith through brain cancer/prayer warriors , he is therefore called to give God all the praise and Thanksgiving and share without ceasing the LOVE/healing/Faith in Jesus and His Bride, the Church he has been given.  Patrick is also a shining LIGHT of the power of prayer and healing, and therefore given the mission/ministry to share how Christ continues to dwell in this world and to heal!
No apples go to waste around here!  Family time is the Best!

Lord, how we long to love and serve you, and share with a loud voice giving glory to You for healing and answering the prayers of so many prayer warriors.  May we always sing your praises to the highest heavens!  Today at the consecration at the "Holy, holy, holy" all heaven and earth are united in the highest of praise for your coming to us in your Body and Blood!
All the ends of the earth have seen
the salvation of our God.
Sing joyfully to the Lord, all you lands:
break into song; sing praise.
Psalm 98 from mass today
May we be ever thankful to you for all that comes our way in this journey of Faith/Family/Farm.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
