Lourdes water blessing/a full house again/Hallel Psalm today!

Our Lady shines in the early morning sunlight in our kitchen while grandpa enjoys his baby granddaughter, Evangeline...a.  She is getting rosy cheeks from his whiskers, but seems to enjoy his kisses, and looked at grandpa with eyes that said; "There you are!  I have missed you this last week and a half.  I flew with mom on a big plane, and spent some time with my dad.  He was happy to see me and mom, too!"  Maria and her 5 arrived back on the farm til midMay, when Captain Joseph will come through and they will all head out to Washington on the West Coast where they will be stationed for at least a couple years.  We are loving our precious time with them... in a little over a week we will welcome our newest granddaughter, and all are praying and awaiting her arrival with great JOY and anticipation!
This is the day that John shares his story in Fulda tonight.  Lourdes water blessed him as we all gathered in the kitchen to pray for him with the intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes... She has been with us always on this journey called brain cancer/healing/show me your path Lord as I proclaim without ceasing the LOVE/LIFE/LIGHT I have been given as I found Faith through brain cancer!

John is grateful for his jobs this year and seems content to be working as a para in Tracy High School and co-speech coach... yet, he longs and burns to share the new life he has been given.  If you had looked death in the eye and come out as a new humbled healed person with a deep deep love for Our Lady and The Church - every last bit of The Church... I can see how I would burn to share that from the rooftops, and John is experiencing that with each new day he has been given.  He is in touch with a group in Chicago, which makes videos for Catholics like John that have a story to share!  How we lift him up today and ask The Holy Spirit to speak through him!
Our quiet home is now full of family!  A last minute birthday party for Therese... she was 9 on the 18th and we missed it, so we are having Birthday #2 tonight.  She is beautiful 9!
The pattern of the cross stitch she is working on for Ruth's new baby blanket.  A big beautiful work of art!  How she loves to give gifts!  It is true... have you noticed that we receive so much more by giving gifts that we have spent time and energy and put our heartfelt love into... rather than getting gifts?  There is a beautiful lesson here!
Homeschool is back in session... during Lent they share a decade of the rosary each day... today The Agony in the Garden/First sorrowful mystery.  The kids fill in the days leading up to Lent!
The path to Easter... Patrick hard at work!
Romeo climbs up to the table and works on his, too!

John was very moved by the Gospel of Sunday of The Samaritan woman at the well and her interaction with Jesus.   It is going to be part of his sharing tonight, so we reread it after sharing morning prayer and being prayed over with Lourdes water.  The last line of the Gospel according to John 4 really was the Truth of John coming to his own deep personal Faith through brain cancer...
"We no longer believe because of your word; for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is truly the Savior of the world."
Looking at the readings from mass today we noticed that there is a Hallel Psalm in the midst of the OT reading and the Gospel...
Psalm 147
I will replace Jerusalem/Zion/Jacob/Israel with John!
Praise the Lord, John.
Glorify the Lord, O John;
praise your God, O John.
For he has strengthened the bars of your gates;
Praise the Lord, John.

He sends forth his command to the earth;
swiftly runs his word!
He spreads snow like wool;
frost he strews like ashes.
Praise the Lord, John.

He has proclaimed his word to John,
his statutes and his ordinances to John.
He has not done thus for any other nation;
Praise the Lord, John.
Little girl got her first haircut and first bubble sink... Life is full of firsts for her, but aren't we all blessed with each new day with a day unto it's own?  We continually grow and are called upon to share our LIGHT with all as we die to self and allow The Holy Spirit to work through us - may we become his hands and feet and when called upon to share our story - use words through Christ within me!  Today he reminds us in the Gospel that Our Church/The Church with all the commandments and the teachings and law we are given is there to help us down the narrow path and arrive at heaven forever with Jesus, Mary, and all the Angels and Saints!  What JOY!
We also missed St Patrick's day, so I had to do this better late than never, right?

Your great-aunt Mary is smiling down from heaven... You look a lot like she did, and she was born on St Patrick's Day and loved to celebrate in green and the shinier the better!

Lord, so much fills our days with YOU and your love and caring for us and your Mercy which fills us with the LOVE we need to share with all those in our domestic Church/family - returning to them the Mercy we have been given.  May we love and forgive unconditionally this day, and serve without counting the cost.  Go with John and give him your words to touch those there listening to him this night as he shares the power of prayer - as you continue to walk this world as you did 2,000 years ago and touch and heal all those you meet and come to you on humble bended knee and ask for Faith in your Truth!  For you truly are The Way, The Truth and the LIFE!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen
A beautiful sunrise which reminds us that your creation is a gift we are given each day.  No calves overnight, but we are well over half way done now in calving our 160 cows.  It was a gift to have a good night's sleep.  Bless-bless, Barbara Luke
Our sweet red barn still bears the Truth to all those that drive by...  Family Time is the Best!

Danielle Rose - If I touch him
Litany of Humility - Danielle Rose
This is crazy hard to pray for!
O Jesus! meek and humble of heart, Hear me.
From the desire of being esteemed,

Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being loved...
From the desire of being extolled ...
From the desire of being honored ...
From the desire of being praised ...
From the desire of being preferred to others...
From the desire of being consulted ...
From the desire of being approved ...
From the fear of being humiliated ...
From the fear of being despised...
From the fear of suffering rebukes ...
From the fear of being calumniated ...
From the fear of being forgotten ...
From the fear of being ridiculed ...
From the fear of being wronged ...
From the fear of being suspected ...

That others may be loved more than I,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.

That others may be esteemed more than I ...
That, in the opinion of the world,
others may increase and I may decrease ...
That others may be chosen and I set aside ...
That others may be praised and I unnoticed ...
That others may be preferred to me in everything...
That others may become holier than I,
provided that I may become as holy as I should…

We are asked to embrace humility!
