The Sacrament of marriage/apostles "into this field of the family." St JPII

4 1/2 year old Bernadette with her rose and bubbles in the dessert procession!
How we love to see the dessert procession with our wonderful Family of the Lamb!  From our first days sharing meals with The Community of the Lamb we found unexpected joy at watching the children with streamers and song and wonderful sweets processing around our tables after a meal shared to celebrate things like Hallel taking her habit or her first vows, or all of our gatherings for Thanksgiving and Christmas and now Easter JOY... Instead of streamers there were beautiful white roses in all the hands raised in praise to the highest heavens!!!  Hallelujah!
Sweets and flowers and children and JOY!!!!

Pat returned from the final gathering for This Man is You til next fall, and he was very moved by the presentation for today along with a powerful quote from St JPII, my hero, about the Sacrament of Marriage:
It is especially necessary to recognize the unique place that... belongs to the mission of married couples and Christian families, by virtue of the grace received in the sacrament.  This mission must be placed at the service of the building up of The Church, the establishing of the Kingdom of God in history.  This is demanded as an act of docile obedience to Christ the Lord.  For it is He who, by virtue of the fact that marriage of baptized persons has been raised to a sacrament, confers upon Christian married couples a special mission as apostle, sending them as workers into his vineyard, and, in a very special way, into the field of the family.
We have adopted this tradition for our birthdays now... so special and joy filled and truly a celebration of family being together with food and song and praise to Jesus, Mary and the Saints along all united in The Church!  What happiness/small slice of heaven here on earth to share that as a family now with 25 here and 10 in heaven!  Add to that our Family of the Lamb all around the world, and our cup is overflowing with LOVE/LIFE/LIGHT!
Love this!  How is speaks of the wonderful influence for our little ones of having a Contemplative Community so closely a part of their lives!  I am thrilled that the little ones will have the wonderful possibility of a call so real for them as they witness it lived out with JOY in their lives.  I am sending up so many prayers for our 5 days here on the farm with our Little Sister Hallel... all of us minus Captain Joseph will be together with huge meals and I guarantee that there will be at least one time that the procession with carry around dessert with balloons and flags and streamers and maybe flowers and so much happiness and JOY!  A small slice of heaven shared in our domestic Church/family!
How this makes me laugh out loud!  It is so classic Susan/Hallel and Joseph!  They are acting and making fun and it is such a gift.  Maria just sent out an invite to Hallel's friends to stop in while she is here visiting in May and used this classic picture to go with it!

Now words from Pope Francis at WYD 2013 in Rio... The Mission of Apostle:
"Go and make disciples of all the nations."  With these words, Jesus is speaking to each one of us saying: "... now you must go, now you must pass on this experience to others"... Jesus did not say: "Go, if you would like to, if you have the time", but he said: "Go and make disciples of all nations."  Sharing the experience of faith, bearing witness to the faith, proclaiming the Gospel: this is a command that the Lord entrusts to the whole Church, and that includes you... Some people might think:  "I have no particular preparation, how can I proclaim the Gospel?" ... God says the same thing to you as he said to Jeremiah:  "Be not afraid... for I am with you to deliver you."  (Jer 1:7-8)
Snuggle time with Josephine only happens every few years, so it is precious indeed!  She has yet to meet her newest little niece, Joy Jean.

Yes, I took many pictures over Easter and am still enjoying them!  Soon I will be adding them to a cross for 2017 as well as a butterfly which will be used year after year on my Easter tree/a lilac branch brought in to bud and put forth leaves and blossoms in the house!  The epitome of Springing forth of new life/Easter JOY!
Therese in the bright sunlight...

Lord, Yes, I long to share the Truth loud and long and clear and without end... The Sacrament of Marriage is a daily sacrament which we need to find the graces necessary to share Jesus, Mary, The Saints, the teachings and dogmas of The Church without reservation... the whole entire Church!  I love it all and believe it all and want to share it all from the rooftops!  I love love love The Church!  There is more each day in The Word, Sacrament, the sacramental which bless each day with prayer without ceasing/ the rosary how I love it!  I pray for our marriage and that of our daughters... We need you Jesus to show us how to die to self and serve without counting the cost!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
Pat and John came down a day later, so we got some time to visit with Hallel... we are so blessed by her joy!!!  One of my main messages that I burn to share is that the call to religious life should be considered by all and it is so wonderful to live out as a priest or brother or sister!  That "yes" to Jesus is life-giving and life-changing!  From the Gospel today "It is the Lord!"  Yes, we can see him there asking us to become fishers of men/apostles in the field of the family!

Simon singing in the Spring concert last night... these wonderful words from his dad, Paul.
"Proud Papa moment seeing Simon singing a solo. One of the many joys of sending our kids to HRS is seeing them praise our Lord!"

"Love makes the heart leap and dance.
Love makes it exult and be festive.
Love makes it sing and be silent as it pleases.
Love grants it rest and enables it to act.
Love possesses it and gives it everything.
Love takes it over completely and dwells in it.
And Holy Communion is the mansion of love."
