I love to look into those big brown eyes, and see the way they have been passed on from one generation to the next. Pat and I both have hazel brown eyes with plenty of green in them, but our daughters and granddaughters have such dark brown chocolate eyes! The jury is still out what we will have with our newest Joy, but she does have a brother and sister, who have gotten their dad's beautiful blue eyes. Eyes are certainly a lamp looking at the world, and sharing the Joy and brightness we share with the world around us! Having so many little ones around me in our domestic Church/family... watching them grow more and more aware and excited about the new world around them with each new day... LIFE is such a great gift and raising them as LIGHTS is what makes the world go round!
Today as Pat, John and I shared morning prayer we discovered that an old Saint friend, St Anthony, was the saint for today. We have many amazing stories of St Anthony answering prayers for lost things. As John and I were reading we both were struck by the fact that St Anthony was also a great preacher and teacher and "he sought out those lost in unbelief and denial and brought them back to the fold of faith by the power of the word that he preached." St Anthony bring _____ back to Jesus! A new wonderful help in heaven for all those that we constantly pray for and long for them to come to Jesus! The LIGHT turned on in our hearts, minds and souls.
My day has escaped me and with a trip to town for Pat I was gifted with the best hour of my week - Adoration! Putting all 200+ from our combined families with Jesus in prayer... so powerful along with all 10 decades of my rosary and the first decade of the chaplet of divine Mercy devoted to Pat's beloved mom and dad. So amazing!
Lord, in the Gospel today you teach us in the Sermon on the Mount from Matthew 5... You are the light of the world...so, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father. Yes, Lord, we are trying to humbly share our light with all those we encounter, most especially those in our domestic church/family. Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barb
