Well, I am not really missing the big party as we all drove out to Pennsylvania for the real party... the beautiful wedding in the mountains in Pennsylvania. Pat and Ruth's family along with John and Nancy's family are now in the Cities celebrating with the large families on both sides of Dan and Chach! They called a short time ago and said that they had found their way through rush hour to join with all at the reception site in a Catholic Church! "You are missing a wonderful party!" Pat informed me. I could only tell them that Maria found out that Patrick is perfectly fine in her tummy and in no hurry to give grandma the only gift that she wants - to be holding Patrick in her arms tomorrow for her only birthday wish!!!!!
It was a fun time to travel out there to celebrate with Sam and Kara, and now I have to look at the pictures and remember it while all are celebrating in the Cities! It is great that Pat could get there to meet and greet Kara's dad and mom as they now are coming to the Cities to meet the huge families that are Dan and Angela's. They expect about 200+ people and just our two families can get to that number without too much trouble! Tonight I am missing being able to be there and see my family on this happy occasion. I am sorry to miss it and getting impatient for Patrick to join us! I keep telling Therese that I don't really care about stuff for my birthday tomorrow, but I just want Patrick to be here in my arms! It will be 9 days tomorrow that I have been here waiting for Patrick to come. I have been patient and calm, but it is getting to be long enough of waiting. Therese keeps calling him "bad Patrick" and I am starting to agree with her. I think that his namesake grandpa Patrick was probably just as determined and difficult. His mom says that she hemorrhaged before giving birth, and thought that she and the baby would both be gone... this was after she had to ride on a bus every week to see her daughter in the Cities with a leg run over by the rock wagon as she was very pregnant!!! So the Patricks of this family seem to have minds of their own and being 9 days late is minor compared to what his grandpa Patrick managed to do!
Kara informed me that this is indeed a mountain... a very beautiful backdrop for the wedding reception place at a golf course in Pennsylvania! Tonight she will not have her sisters there with her, but her parents made it there! It will be a wonderful time to celebrate the joining of this wonderful couple after sharing a year on a team of NET team - traveling across the country sharing their Catholic faith and Love of the True Church! There can be no better basis for their marriage! Jesus. bless them this joy filled evening as they celebrate with the wonderful families they have been blessed with. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Halleluia
Bless-bless, Barb
