We had a birthday Skype with the family up in the Cities. Then we picked a movie that the kids had not seen before - the Sound of Music! They both sat and watched the entire 3 hour movie. That says a lot about a good movie - to hold the attention of a 2 year old and a 4 year old. They both said that they were happy that grandma picked it out. The day before we had talked about movies with Maria songs in them... West Side Story and Sound of Music. It is used twice in Sound of Music! It was a good night with pizza and applekeuchen made with the last jar of home canned food that Maria has here in Texas. I think that this will be a red flag for Pat to drive here to pick me up with a van full of home canned food and meet for his family in Texas! Time will tell - it is pretty sure that Patrick will not be born on his grandma Barb's birthday, but now maybe the feast day of the Most Holy Rosary tomorrow - also the day that Joseph proposed to Maria about 6 years ago.
