Talk about a journey that just continues on the narrow path of Faith and Eternal LIFE! Yesterday the Year of FAITH began in our glorious wise Church began, and how we are clinging to faith at this time! It seems that if you have the faith of a mustard seed - there will be mountains that move!
Yesterday a dear sister/friend from the CCW here on base brought over supper and also a most precious gift! She shared that a mass had been said for Patrick, and afterwards they had said a rosary together for him. After an elderly man came up to her and asked what the name of the baby was - she told him Patrick. He handed her this rosary in its' worn case and told her that he wanted Patrick to have it! I pulled it out of the case and "saw" with eyes of Faith the many prayers that have been said on it! It has been repaired in a couple places and just shows the LOVE, and Faith, and Trust, and HOPE that has been poured out over these beads for many years! I am moved to tears to think of this tremendously personal gift of PRAYER, and FAITH in GOD that has been gifted to Patrick! This most precious gift... two grandmas will be taking it to him today, and there is not much doubt that it will be gracing his small world within his small plastic bed. We are already aware of the countless prayers and graces that are surrounding him, just as the arms of his guardian angel is there around him protecting him from harm!
I do believe that the smile on his face is very real even if only within his heart, and soul! He is surrounded with the greatest of blessings, prayers, and the Sacraments along with the army of Heaven, and those filled with constant prayer of faith that Patrick's brain will be pristine when he has his MRI done after the cool cap comes off early Saturday morning. How this is carrying over to our experience with John - he had that scary MRI in June after the stoke symptoms and his brain was a thing of beauty - perfect and healed! We must continue to TRUST with undying FAITH!
Lord, your so loving and caring towards us... we are humbled and grateful for your LOVE for us! We are surrounded by PEACE and HOPE as we "see" with eyes of FAITH the LOVE you have for those that cry out to YOU in our weak and helpless state. Jesus, we trust in you! Amen and Halleluia
Bless-bless, Barb
"Let this be written for ages to come
that a people yet unborn may praise the Lord;
for the Lord leaned down from his sanctuary on high.
He looked down from heaven to the earth
that he might hear the groans of prisoners
and free those condemned to die."
