Moved to a less critical area this morning! Mom able to feed him 3 times today, and they weighed him before and after - he needed to get 80 and he topped out at 106!!! Doing great on momma, and hopefully tomorrow mom can feed him all day and then maybe HOME! We appreciate that they are taking the best and most careful care of little Patrick, but we are thinking that home in on the horizon!
We found out just as they were beginning his 2nd EEG this morning, so the St Michael candle got lit and we said the decade of the rosary - Christ's Baptism - the first luminous for good results. Little Therese said it along with the two grandmas... such a blessing to have the prayers of children. A huge blessing for Patrick and his parents. After our shared prayers we continued our spirit of prayer as Therese made some of her special cards for the poor. She makes a special card covered with art work including two crosses, and then folds money into it so that she can pass it out the window to the poor that beg along the streets down here. Something about the nice weather year round that brings them here to live on the streets. Today a man with sores on his arms was out begging as we got off the highway. Hard to see!
Patrick is doing so well! The nurses too comment that he just does not cry as we listen to the others in his room cry a lot... We have yet to hear him truly cry! As I was holding him before we left he just would smile and smile in his sleep! It is like he has decided that he wants to smile and be happy and not cry - LIFE is GOOD! He certainly has much to be thankful for, as do al those that are part of his domestic Church family as well as the army of prayer warriors that are now our Spiritual Family! Thank you, Jesus, and all those that have prayed and continue to pray for our little Lamb, Patrick!
