A heart healing... The fountain of everlasting waters springing from the hearts of my parents to water the garden called FAMILY!

Such a wonderful start to my day!!!!  Yes, dad has been up since 5a, but that is sleeping in for him!  It has been a bit bumpy for us adjusting to the new normal and finding it.  But the best ever way to begin was to share the office - Lauds/Praise in the morning!  Starting with Psalm 51 led by Deacon Bob... the many references to "Heart" jumped out at us and I laughed with delight to see his smile and strength to face all that lies ahead.  A pure heart create for me, O God... a humbled contrite heart you will not spurn.  Psalm 51  Dad shared that this was so wonderful to return to his deaconate prayer with mom - I was given the great JOY of joining in.  Today was litany of those they pray for day, and I wiped tears when he prayed for those discerning a call - Hallel and John!
The fountain to everlasting waters of LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT springing from the hearts of my parents in prayer that are watering the garden of their family!  So many miracles and blessings abound based on these continuous prayers to Jesus!

Dad continues to share strongly that we are the resurrected Christ going forth into our worlds and evangelizing the Truth!  He shared that Father Tadeusz Dajczer (2009) wrote in the meditation for the day in The Magnificat...The purpose of our faith is for us to think as Jesus Christ does; to allow him, who is living in us through faith, to use it, think within us, and live in us...  Because of faith, a complete change of our former way of seeing, thinking, feeling, and experiencing can take place... Faith changes our mentality, it tells us always to place God first, to be concerned with focusing the light coming from God.  Then all our judgments, evaluations, desires, and expectations are illuminated by the Light of Faith.  In such a way communion of faith is brought about, a communion which will reach its fullness only in love.
Wow!  So great, and such a wonderful sharing when the Gospel was so difficult today... Mark 12 where the scribes question Jesus.  Dad just made me laugh out loud when he said; "I hope the Little Sisters have a great time 'chewing' on that Gospel today."  It is an inside joke, but I am pondering the "echoes" they would find to enhance the Gospel.  The meditation shed some light on the Gospel - the title was - The Faith the Scribes Lacked.
Dad trying out the treadmill here in the house.  We just ruled it out for now due to that he should not be pulling any weight at this point.  Maybe later down the road.

Dad also made me laugh when he talked about how he can tell that I pray with Pat, who is anxious to get out in pasture yet wants to do the devotions..."She gets through them fast!" he said to mom.  And he has no idea of how much I have slowed them down from when I do them with Pat.  It is so fun around here laughing at myself through the eyes of my parents.
Dad and I are here sitting at our computers visiting - the phone rings - it's John..."Has grandpa mooed yet?"  I burst into more laughter and ask dad... when he finally gets it he says; "Moo, moo."  Why?  He now has a bovine/cow heart valve.  Too fun and cute!

Jesus, I thank you for the JOY we are sharing in the midst of this new normal after dad's successful heart surgery!  The first reading from Tobit 11 where the good news all happens from the healing of Tobit's blindness and meeting of his new daughter-in-law, who also had been rid of a demon killing her husbands... This beautiful prayer of praise to God - Blessed be God, and praised be his great name, and blessed be his holy angels.  May his holy name be praised throughout all the ages, Because it was he who scourged me, and it was he who has had mercy on me...  Dad getting through "a crisis each day" now is thanking God for how wonderful home feels and getting back to prayer and family support and LOVE.  Jesus, may we give you praise always even in the hard times of LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
Such a glorious day we are celebrating with the ups and downs of LIFE.  Bless-bless, Barbara Luke

This is fading now... thankfully!

So true of my parents and I!  We love The Church and to share that is a great blessing, and to have them bring me into The Church... I am forever grateful!

So much wisdom comes to us from The Saints!
