On their own again...

My mother always sets a nice table complete with cloth napkin and placemats by the light of their bay window.  Outside the birds of many colors and varieties feed on the bird feeder.  This morning we watched some cute little nut hatches feeding.

I was hoping that mom and dad would have a bit more supervision/help but they were anxious to try it on their own.  So... with some misgivings I am now at home and gearing up to work in the nursing home for the weekend.
Sharing lunch, a visit from my sister, and on the road for home.
Dad stressed over and over that in August they will have their 66th wedding anniversary, and after all that time they feel confident that they can face all that comes their way together.  I did my best to try to leave them in a good place, and now all I can do is trust and leave it for others to check in on them.
Dad is happy to be home and eating mom's home cooking.  My time with them was filled with a lot of teaching and assuring and encouraging.  Jesus, you are in control in the midst of the storms of life.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb
He likes his lap robes given him as a gift for serving his country.  It was quite touching to hear his nurse thank him for serving his country when we left the hospital yesterday.  It was a long 24 hours of getting dad settled in and still a long way to go with his cardiac rehab.
In loving hands of his wife...
Mom getting the mail and pulling weeds.
Dad's walking path through the house... walking inside for now.
