John, Bobbi and their family 2 years ago.
Cousins come from Delano to celebrate a few days later due to the snow. Cousin, George, is the first of the 3 little boys to turn 7 ahead of Hector 3 weeks later and finally Jude!
2 years ago there was a huge snow storm. Our snow this year was a couple weeks ago and is mostly gone after some warm 75 degree days.
Jude last night celebrating his 7th birthday.
Joy and Tom came to the party too! The huge picture window with no snow in sight. There is some talk of a bit on Easter which is a week from tomorrow!
Happy Birthday, Jude Dale! He is now a first grader at Holy Redeemer Catholic School which is just half a block from their home! Holy week begins tomorrow with Palm Sunday! Lent is so tied into our work on our house after the fire we had in our chimney at the end of January. It has been going slowly and is kind of getting me down a bit!
The bedroom we have saved with the sweet mural on the wall that Ruth and Paul did about 10 years ago! We had to take down the farm scene they painted in the room we lost... I did take some pictures for us to recall their sweet wall in the bunk room. As Tom says; " I miss the bunk room where we played family."Ruth and Paul in front of their latest project - Big Tom's around the corner from their farm! Paul sharing that they have been married for half his lifetime with so much to show for those 22 years!
The 3 little boys that are all 7 now! They are best cousin friends!
Ruth and Paul's art work before it was torn down in the room that was destroyed by our chimney fire on January 24th.
Paul and his art work now only in pictures...
Today the roof is on and shingled and the spray foam insulation is going in over my head here in my office.
Pat will have his free standing wood stove in the middle with his wood box and the tv over that. The sheet rock went up this week, so things are progressing. I find that I am getting a bit down about it all. Ruth is my main helper and she is in Vietnam till next week... I can do this!
"Body of Christ" Tom likes to bring me Communion, and I kiss the host!
"The Blood of Christ."
I constantly have a rosary and am praying! I leave a trail of Rosaries everywhere I go! The Peace of Our Lady fills me!
David drove the big red Quad track in to school for bring a tractor to school day! He left a little after 5a as he was very nervous and excited! It sure looks big!
It was the Feast of the Annunciation on March 25th - 9 months until Christmas! Jesus only had a Father and with Mary's "Yes" he than had a Mother!
Holy week begins tomorrow!
I thought this was very good by Pope Benedict XVI in his daily reflections! How we are blessed with God is near to us!
Two grandpas at doughnuts for dudes!
A memory in our old farm house about 12 years ago.
That is amazing protection of that life in the womb! How did it ever become acceptable to enter and kill that baby?!? All life should be protected and cherished from conception to natural death!!!
Tom and Diego.
LOVE this!
Tom in grandpa's wood box. Grandma is getting impatient to have this all behind me. I good lesson to learn this Lent and now Holy week - Patience is a virtue, that I need to work on!
Ton has a lot more running room with his lawn mower!
Here he comes - all that sheet rock is now on the walls, so things are moving along. Passion week begins!
Probably 20 years ago!
10 years ago - Nancy and Bill were living in Shawnee, Kansas! Just half an hour from The Community of the Lamb in KCK!
Getting ahead of myself... We can get through the Passion of this week with knowing that Easter is lying ahead of us!
Easter 2016 ... they now have 6 children!
Adorable brothers!
This will be the Gospel on Monday! Mary anointing Jesus!
We too can plead with Him, "Lord, be with us,
both at sunrise and at sunset..."
In the Holy Eucharist the only Son of God, Jesus Christ,
fulfills His promise to be with us always.
What consolation, how could we be lonely?
From all the sunsets to all the sunrises "He neither rises
nor sets because He abides always" (St. Augustine)."
Joy in the morning - Tauren WellsHail Holy Queen - Salve Regina the way Hallel's order sing it at night prayer! Goodness of God

The Birthday boy with his thumbs up!
Ton went to Adoration with me as I prayed for Fr Denny with 7 Sisters yesterday. He napped under the pew, and was very good to have there.
Jesus on the altar and Tom under the bench...
"Hello Jesus, I love you!"
"Mom flew far away!"
A Picture from Ruth... It is in the 90s and humid!
On an agricultural tour - it looks lush and green!
Curls from the humidity!

Tom with his beloved lawn mower and his old farmer, grandpa Pat! After this he crawled into grandma's bed and took a 2 hour nap even after falling asleep in the Adoration chapel for half an hour! He loves grandma's bed!
What a good reminder to us! Jesus is there to help us carry those Crosses!
Birthday boy 4 years back when he was adorable 3!
Annunciation! LOVE how LIFE entered the world through the womb!
Beautiful!!
9 months from Christmas! LOVE how The Church is so wise and wonderful!!!
4 men and a flat tire getting the wood stove out of the basement! It literally weighed a ton!
How we appreciate our farm family and all that they do for this old lady!!!
Prayers for their safety and no bodily injuries, Lord and Lady!
I need to end this with a picture of where I picture my new icon when my room is finished.
How we love our Cow TV! Tom showing me that new calf shelter - we have 135 calves on the ground with about 60 to go! Be with our calving, O Lord, and with Ruth as she is on the other side of the world. Give her safe travels back home to her family in the middle of Holy Week - on Joy's 9th birthday on the31st! May I grow in Patience and Trust that this Holy Week can be filled with dying to self so that I may serve without counting the Cost. Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barbara and the 33 plus 13 in heaven

"Love is never finished."
Pope Benedict XVI
"The presence of Jesus in the Eucharist is proof that
His love for us has no sunset. He is the Desired
His love for us has no sunset. He is the Desired
of the everlasting hills, and He puts into our hearts
the desire to live close to Him. The stresses and
hurts and partings of life often bear down on us, and we
may tend to feel alone as when the sun has gone down.
The words of St. Augustine can lift us
"He neither rises nor sets because He abides always."
So our lives do not have to go down into the shadows.
It was at evening time that the risen Lord restored the
desolate spirits of two disciples by revealing His presence
to them "in the breaking of the bread." They pleaded with
Him "Stay with us, for it is towards evening." (Lk 24,29).
