The Bridegroom was long delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep./2nd Coming of Jesus!/Family canning time. +JMJ+

Ruth and Paul dropped off their 2nd oldest, Mary Angela, at Welcome Week at the U of M on Tuesday.  I know she will do well, but there is always that newness that brings on nerves and worry.  Many prayers every day for the 2 grandchildren that have set off into the world of college life.. Simon to Sioux Falls and Mary to St Paul.
She is given so much love and support from mom, dad and her 6 siblings.  A firm launching pad to take off into her future life.  Grandma prays for her every day, and reminded her to make some Catholic friends as her Faith is truly the most important part of her life.  Oh, grandma!

A picture from Mary last evening at the Gophers Football game with the Marching Band on the field.  Looks like fun and she is a part of the experience of going to the U of M!

David and Luke getting the cows and calves back into the DNR pasture - Rooster Flats on a hot day.  How we appreciate our farm family!

Praying for granddaughter Mary with her namesake - Mary the Mother of God.  She is always there to help and comfort in times of worry and new experiences.

I am remembering my own Welcome Week at the U of M in 1970 - 54 years ago!  It is where I met Pat's sister, Margie Rose, who was a fast friend for that year I attended the U.  We kept in touch when I transfered to St Kates, and became Catholic and a nurse.  7 years later she invited me to her wedding and then I met her brother, Pat.  A year later we were married.  I tell her each year that because of her holding onto me as a friend... I have my life!

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Our marriage stories - "The world needs LIGHTS!"

Corn over their heads while they dig out huge rocks down the path to the pasture behind our house.  Luke and Pat in the mud after an inch of rain.  I was driving the 4 wheeler as they toiled in the heat.
LOVE our Lady and all that she shows us how to be like her.
Such a hot day at the State Fair for Nancy and her kids for 4H Share the Fun!
St Mother Teresa!!!
A cute story from France of Hallel helping one of the little sister's family.  It was so fun to hear about her living up to her Minnesota Farmgirl helping out in a time of need and to get a great picture of her with a member of the family with a very interesting lunch!  It is a small world!
Now a wonderful picture from Saint Pierre, France with a little sister turning 90 - everyone is there!  ls Marie and Jean Claude!  Such a great picture to see!  LOVE how wonderful the founders look in this joyous picture!

I am blown away to see my Goddaughter in Michigan with my brother and family on Beautiful Beach!  We sure love Michigan and the family time that comes with time there.
My brother, Phil, with my sister-in law, Angela sure gave me a big smile to see him after a few years since his restaurant closed and therefore I have not been able to stop in a see him like before.
LOVE is so important in this world!
Love that around her birthday we get a lot of her Truth and wisdom!
Truth!
From Lourdes France - love her and how she brought John to find his Faith!

John's Spirit Juice Video continues with wife and 3 children!
John over for our family canning day with Nancy down from Delano with her kids!  How we love to make food for our 6 families together and have some bonding of cousins and siblings!
John with his youngest 1 1/2 year old Lucy Marie!  She ate all the pepperoni off the slice of pizza!
Love this of St Mother Teresa with the crucifix - "I Thirst."  Jesus for us with so much unconditional Mercy and LOVE and forgiveness!

The Gospel today was the 10 Virgins and Fr Denny preached about the Second Coming which we all await.  The Virgins waited into the night and all became drowsy and fell asleep.  Yet, the wise ones were prepared and entered with him when he arrived.  We also must be ready and prepared as we know not the time!

St Therese loved so deeply for only living 24 years!  I am off to visit my Therese in Fort Riley, KS today.  We are having for the first time a traveling canning day!  Applesauce here we come!  We are even bringing the apples - 10 pails or more!  The tree was breaking from so many apples this year!
Pondering her love for her spouse Jesus Christ!  I am allowed from time to time to live out my nun life.  Jesus spoils me that way.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and the 33.  Labor Day weekend with our military family in Kansas.

lives in our midst in the Eucharist.
Let us listen to Him for He is truth.

Blessing of an ultrasound machine -"that it may be a tool by which the children of the womb may speak to their parents" - +JMJ+

Fr Denny this morning blessing the ultrasound machine used by Choices Pregnancy Center in Marshall. Unplanned Pregnancy Care & Support Redwood Falls and Marshall, MN- Choices Pregnancy Center
Such a beautiful and important prayer we shared in this morning.
It was especially beautiful to hear these words about the reality of the child/life in the womb can speak to it's parents that they may see the heart beat and the fingers and toes.

With the ultrasound nurse, who was blessed by Father, too!  "Bless all those who operate this machine that their skill may be joined by their compassion.  To serve all who come to them..."
Being St Mother Teresa's birthday yesterday - some of her wonderful quotes that come to mean a lot when dealing with life in the womb from conception to natural death.  She was a huge warrior for LIFE, and there is no doubt she now continues from heaven!
Choices educates them to make good choices for their life in the womb!
Embracing our Most Cherished Cross where we are so close that he kisses us!  Dying to self so that we may serve without counting the cost!
When the ultrasound is being done - the client is able to see her baby on the big screen.  "They see the heartbeat and the baby and that is very important in our work."
Hubby came along in his work clothes for this important happening - how we pray all the time for LIFE to be protected and cherished from conception to natural death.
St Mother Teresa of Calcutta lived this out in India with the poorest of the poor.
Every jar sealed of applesauce!  We have fake plans to go to can on base at Fort Riley, Kansas over the weekend!
God's Mercy on those that eventually chose to take the life of that child in their womb through abortion.  Lord, have Mercy!
Venerable Fulton Sheen knows how to make our need to raise lights for the world REAL!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and the 33 in our domestic Church/family.

"Each one of us is a co-worker of Christ
- we must labor hard to carry Him to the hearts
where He has not yet been known and loved... But,
unless we have Jesus, we cannot give Him;
that is why we need the Eucharist.
Spend as much time as possible in front

fill you with His strength and power."

State Fair and home with hubby/St Rose of Lima with Ruth Ida Rose and Rose Ida/LOVE you Lord with our heart, mind and soul - +JMJ+

John's family today as Bobbi's family is all gathered for a cousin wedding over the weekend.  The best!!!
St Rose of Lima today - very special in our family since Ruth's confirmation when she chose St Rose as her patron Saint!  Rose did hand work to help the poor, and that was right down Ruth's alley with one Afghan after another since her grandma Ann taught her how to crochet when in high school.

Happy Feast day Ruth and Rose Again!  Such a special saint!

The Truth!
Under the roses she had thorns in her head as a mortification.
Embracing our Most Cherished Cross!
This rosary has been missing for some time.  Pat found it when he reached into my mother's chair, and it was a total gift to me.  The St Bernadette is from our trips to Lourdes.  I thought it was lost, but it appeared a few days ago to my great JOY!

The first reading at mass today was the dry bones coming back to life from Ez 37

Lauren Daigle - Dry Bones come alive

the Gospel is Matthew 22 - Jesus tells us the most important commandments to follow in our journey...“You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart,
with all your soul, and with all your mind.
This is the greatest and the first commandment.
The second is like it:
You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”  Matthew 22

Pat and I are left at home and last night we had to move the cows from one pasture to another and he had to bring out creep feed.  Time together...
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence.
Still water in the creek as the sun sets- peaceful and pretty reflections
The calves want to move too.

Meanwhile at the State Fair - David and Rose showing his cow calf pair.  It is Rose's first year at the State Fair, and she was excited!
Mary brought her goat, and the show was today.
Roses calf
David's cow calf pair
Mary and her goat...
Mary giving a demonstration with her goat.  She sure knows how to present herself!  4H and the Catholic School help our grandkids present themselves in front of people.

May we love you Lord and Lady with our entire heart, mind and soul, and our neighbor as ourselves.  May we die to self so that we may serve you without counting the cost.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and the 33
