St Dominic gave us the Rosary - my prayer without ceasing!/Hallel to France today/Farm Fest and National Farmer day -+JMJ+

These two are Irish cousins as they are only 4 weeks apart for the rest of their lives!  They posed for old grandma with some flowers from Ruth's beautiful perennial garden. It made me giggle to see them each in a Christmas shirt from Verly and Cross Christmas Camps.  It shows that they get used, and imagine all the hand me downs that these littlest of our grandkids will get over the years!
Hot and excited in the corn field picking sweet corn for our big supper on the farm with Nancy's family and Ruth's = 13 kids and 5 adults.  Lots of corn and burgers on the grill!
Tom showing Gina how to chase chickens... oh the Adventures they will share over their lives sharing time on the farm!
Tom loved all the big equipment at Farm Fest yesterday with mom dad and 5 siblings and 3 cousins!
Working the Pork chop booth!  Poor military boy, Patrick, sure missed being there.  He wears pork chop shirts one after the other!
Friends/cousins for life - Rose and Berna are just 6 months apart and best buddies
Today is St Dominic Feast Day!  He is the patron of Hallel's order - The Community of the Lamb, and also we have a grandson, Dominic.  Here he is with Hallel and the icon of St Dominic 9 years ago.  He is now 10, and is at Farm Fest for the second day in a row - now with grandpa Pat.

How I love my Rosary that we received from Our Lady to St Dominic!  It is constantly with me each day!  Prayer without ceasing.  I was repeating it to myself last night in the pasture when we had a couple calves out of their pasture and a lot of back and forth with them.

I am also soon to be praying for each of my kids - one on each of the 5 decades.  Most especially for Hallel who is flying to France today to make one of her final steps to becoming a French citizen.  She will be gone for a month and return on Sept 6th.  We are so thankful that she is in KCK!
In Lourdes with John in 2009 shortly after he was diagnosed with brain cancer and Hallel took her habit in France and changed her name from Susan to little sister Hallel!  Nancy shared this picture this morning along with a note Hallel sent her recently about a book Nancy has written about Saints!

Last year my sister sent me a little note of thanks for The Saints and the Call to Friendship with Christ. She wrote:
"Nancy, we love your saint book. We enjoy reading about the saints over breakfast, and we reach for your book first. This morning I read the story and I was in tears by the end. We all were! The way you tell the stories of the saints is so beautiful. This will call many people to an authentic friendship with Jesus, even those already wearing a habit!
A big thank you from all of us!"

The 9 grandkids at Farm Fest yesterday and many of them returned with grandpa today, which is the last day!  Next week the county Fair!
Pat out in the pasture with me assisting.  How I love to watch him at work and pray to Our Lady for all to go well.  Jesus we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and the 33
