St Rose of Lima today - very special in our family since Ruth's confirmation when she chose St Rose as her patron Saint! Rose did hand work to help the poor, and that was right down Ruth's alley with one Afghan after another since her grandma Ann taught her how to crochet when in high school.
Happy Feast day Ruth and Rose Again! Such a special saint!
Under the roses she had thorns in her head as a mortification.
Embracing our Most Cherished Cross!
This rosary has been missing for some time. Pat found it when he reached into my mother's chair, and it was a total gift to me. The St Bernadette is from our trips to Lourdes. I thought it was lost, but it appeared a few days ago to my great JOY!
The first reading at mass today was the dry bones coming back to life from Ez 37
Lauren Daigle - Dry Bones come alivethe Gospel is Matthew 22 - Jesus tells us the most important commandments to follow in our journey...“You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart,
with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment.
The second is like it:
You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.” Matthew 22
Pat and I are left at home and last night we had to move the cows from one pasture to another and he had to bring out creep feed. Time together...
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence.
Still water in the creek as the sun sets- peaceful and pretty reflections
The calves want to move too.
Meanwhile at the State Fair - David and Rose showing his cow calf pair. It is Rose's first year at the State Fair, and she was excited!
Mary brought her goat, and the show was today.

Mary and her goat...Mary giving a demonstration with her goat. She sure knows how to present herself! 4H and the Catholic School help our grandkids present themselves in front of people.

May we love you Lord and Lady with our entire heart, mind and soul, and our neighbor as ourselves. May we die to self so that we may serve you without counting the cost. Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barb and the 33
