Queenship of Mary 15 years ago in France for Susan with John and Nancy/"Many are invited but few are chosen." +JMJ+

A few days before we went to Lourdes, France as it was the Vigil of the Queenship of Mary on the 22nd of August.  Susan had taken her habit and changed her name to little sister Hallel.  John had gotten better after his second chemo fighting brain cancer, and we last minute got tickets to go to France for this huge step in her life.  Nancy was also there.

John and I got very emotional remembering that these little sisters had gone through the healing waters of Lourdes with the intention of John's healing from brain cancer.  John fell in love with Mary the Mother of God here, and has never recovered from his love and devotion.

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Susan Angela Agnes/Little Sister Hallel - the story of a Call .

John with the help of cousin, Fr Craig, who was there for Hallel 15 years ago, went through the line of the sick entering the baths of healing.  Where St Bernadette dug in the ground when Our Lady of Lourdes told her to... and a spring came up from the ground!  He did not have a miraculous healing after they poured water on his head "because that is where I need the healing", but he fell in love with Mary and through her his prayer to find faith was answered.  The real healing that John found - also has been cancer free for 15 years and now is the new John with wife and 3 beautiful children!

John's Spirit Juice Video
Such JOY!  Radiant with love for her Spouse, Jesus.  How she loves to discover Jesus in The Word of God each day beginning the night before with the Gospel for the next day.  Each day she also feeds on Him in the Mass with his Body and Blood.  There are also an hour morning and night when they spend time with Jesus in Adoration!
John and I were so amazed to be there when we had returned our tickets knowing that with John's cancer we could not possibly go to France...  But the Lord had his own plan for us!

Both John and Susan/Hallel were having a personal experience with Jesus and Mary!  Susan becoming his spouse, and John seeing with the eyes of his heart that Jesus, Mary and The Church were real and Truth!  The Way, the Truth, and the LIFE!
John on the Cross and his sisters helping him to go forward down the narrow path.  Such a powerful time for our two youngest children.... Hallel becoming a little sister of the Lamb and John finding the faith that he half heartedly prayed for through a battle for his life against brain cancer.

Now 15 years later Pat and I shared mass this morning, and as I took him back to the tractor to finish cutting hay we shared morning prayer for The Queenship of Mary.  Then I had to rush to pick him up as there was a thunder storm coming in.  Lots of time with farmer hubby while the farm family is up at the State Fair as the beef show is happening this afternoon for Rose and David.

Jesus with Mother Mary from the Chosen!  So real and LOVE!
Each day thanks to my mother I read daily meditations by Pope Benedict XVI!  I feel so close to mom and see how much this man loved Jesus and Mary!  Thanks, mom!
St Max is a great lover of Mary and shares that beautiful truth with us!
Can't get enough!  All my time coming and going with Pat - my Rosary was my companion and filled me with glorious PEACE!
LOVE her and need her to take my every need to her Son!  I still have a wonderful Mother, who loves me and cares for me.
So many millions of babies lost from our world due to abortion!  They find comfort with the Mother of Heaven and earth.  Lord and Lady please show those considering abortion now that this is a LIFE to protected and cherished.
John in Lourdes 15 years ago a few days after Hallel took her habit.  He fell in love with Our Lady of Lourdes, and found that The Catholic Church is the True Church!
Maria with her first born Therese putting clothes and diapers on the line.  Therese is now 16 years old!
Such a powerful picture - Ruth, John's oldest sister helping him walk after the brain biopsy left him with ataxia on his left side... the new John.
In the Amsterdam airport on our way to France 15 years ago.
Ruth and Nancy canning tomatoes 15 years ago.  Saturday we will have our first big canning day of applesauce.  So it begins, and tomatoes will follow soon I am sure.  Too bad the kids are leaving for school as things are later this year.

The Gospel today was the wedding feast from Matthew 22.  Fr Denny preached about the man who did not come in a wedding garment to the Feast.  "He did not repent of his sins and accept the Mercy of the Lord."  How we loves us and wants us to dwell with him and his Mother forever in Heaven!

But when the king came in to meet the guests
he saw a man there not dressed in a wedding garment.
He said to him, 'My friend, how is it
that you came in here without a wedding garment?'
But he was reduced to silence.
Then the king said to his attendants, 'Bind his hands and feet,
and cast him into the darkness outside,
where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.'
Many are invited, but few are chosen."  Matthew 22

So many great Saints love Our Lady - it must be TRUTH!
Pat 4 years ago in Fort Lewis, WA.  He is chomping at the bit to get down to Fort Riley to see our grandkids and Major Joseph with Maria.  We are toying with the idea of bringing along 6 pails of apples, jars, canners colendars and make applesauce there!
LOVE this - Domestic Church/family is where our Faith is shared and grows - the seeds planted and yield a hunderd fold!
Fort Lewis 4 years ago... soon we will spend some time at Fort Riley, KS!
Nancy with sweet Godson, Simon, probably 15 years ago.  He will be 20 in a month.
Military family in Charlottesville, VA 2 years ago.  Joe was in Major college.
Mass and Sunday brunch with them like we do here on the farm on Sundays.  How we love to spoil our grandkids with yummy sweets on Sundays!
How did it ever happen that babies became easily killed by an abortion? I cannot understand how this ever happened!
Oh, this is so wonderful!!!  Let us all put on our wedding garment and allow Jesus to shower us with his love and his Mercy.  And then radiate that to all those around us - most especially to those closest to us in our families!
Never!!!

Tomorrow is this family feast for Ruth and Rose!  LOVE her and them!
Tom giving grandma Eucharist - this came into our home probably 25 years ago from a hospice fundraiser.  It has been a favorite toy!  Tom would give me a host and then bow to me!
Now the cup!  Mended numerous times after all these years.
A good quote from our pope.  How I pray for him and long to appreciate him more.  He is our Pope!  May our Lord and Lady hold him close to their hearts burning with love for him.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and the 33
"I shall sing a hymn to the mother, the Queen, whom I
joyously approach in praise, gladly celebrating her wonders in song.
Our tongue cannot worthily praise thee, O Lady; for thou who
hast borne Christ the king art exalted above the seraphim. . .

Hail, O Queen of the world; hail, O Mary, Queen of us all."

Feast of Queenship of Mary
August 22*
*Octave of Feast of the Assumption (August 15)

Feast established - Pope Pius XII - October 11, 1954
Encyclical Letter "Ad Caeli Reginam."
He points out that Mary deserves the title because
she is Mother of God, because she is closely associated
as the New Eve with Jesus’ redemptive work,
because of her preeminent perfection
and because of her intercessory power.

“When she became Mother of the Creator,
she truly became Queen
of every creature.”St. John Damascene

"Every time the Son of God comes again to us
in the “poverty” of the sacramental signs of bread and wine,
the seeds of that new history wherein the mighty are
“put down from their thrones” and “those of low degree
are exalted” (cf. Lk 1:52), take root in the world.
Mary sings of the “new heavens” and the “new earth”
which find in the Eucharist their anticipation
and in some sense their programme and plan.
The Magnificat expresses Mary's spirituality,
and there is nothing greater than this spirituality for
helping us to experience the mystery of the Eucharist.
The Eucharist has been given to us so that our life,
like that of Mary, may become completely
a Magnificat!   - Ecclesia de Eucharistia (58)

Mary, then, is a Queen; but for our common consolation,
be it known that she is a Queen so sweet, clement,
and so ready to help us that Holy Church wills
that we salute her as Queen of Mercy.
Mary is Queen of Mercy as Jesus is King of Justice.”

“It is true that Our Lady is Queen of Heaven and earth,
but at the same time
she is more Mother than Queen.”
 St. Therese of Lisieux

O God, who made the Mother of your Son
to be our Mother and our Queen,
graciously grant that, sustained by her intercession,
we may attain in the heavenly Kingdom
the glory promised to your children.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives
and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever. Amen.
(from The Roman Missal)

Mary, our Mother, Queen of Heaven,
