Lyon County Fair 2024 with the Assumption of Our Lady and MTC's 41st birthday and Bobbi's 36th!/20th Sunday of Ordinary time +JMJ+

Pat with our next to the youngest grandchild, Regina Maria, at the beef show.  Our County Fair is now here and gone just like that.  Nancy came with her 6 for the steak feed and the beef show the next morning.
Cloverbud Joy with her dad was so excited to show her calf!
Tom wanted a number on his back so it was dad's phone number in case he got lost in the crowds.
Gina and grandpa Pat.
Joy ready to show.  It will be a few years till Tommy shows, but it will be here before we know it.  Pat and I had to leave the beef show before showmanship because the last mass for The Assumption of Mary was at noon.  Nancy went with her kids the night before which is Maria's birthday.  Most nights of her birthday we would go to the Vigil of the Assumption and sing "Ave Maria" on Maria's birthday!
Gina dancing to the band at the steak fry - we sold 850 steaks!  They were so good!!!

Cloverbud Joy also showed chickens!  She picks them up and holds them with no fear at all!
Meanwhile in France we have been blessed with pictures of Hallel with the Americans that took their habit - this is ls Abigail, and those that took their first vows!  A couple days ago they all went to Lourdes for the day!
Tom watching the beef show with grandma - at one point his 4 older siblings were all in the ring together!
Our expert griller... 900 steaks!
The rain held off and people raved about the wonderful steaks!
Joy and her dad looked mighty nice out there.  She has 12 years of showing beef ahead of her.  Grandma might be in a wheelchair coming to the shows for her and Tom!
Such a look of happiness...
Rose and Mary with Rose's cow calf pair.  I can't get over how much Rose looks like her Aunt Maria here with that big head of hair!

I should do this more often!
Truth!
John was my assistant in Fine Arts!  We did morning prayer together on our phones to begin our day on the Feast of St Maximilian and Maria's 41st birthday.  How we love to share The Prayer of The Church together!
From soon to be 20 year old Simon to 2 1/2 year old Thomas!  All in red which was the beef shirt this year!
Such a great bunch of farm kids!  How we love to have them on the farm lending a hand and sharing the love of feeding the world with their old grandpa and their parents!
Just finished my rosary when I pray for all my kids, their spouses, and the 23 grandkids!  Every day!
The first reading from Revelations from the Feast of the Assumption of Mary to heaven.  August 15th
The stunning black eyed Susans in front of the Parsonage, and next store is the Apartments that Ruth and Paul brought up to a place of comfort and beauty!
Put on the armor of the Spirit!  Ready to fight against evil!

Hallel a few days ago... I think that it is pretty funny that the Holy Spirit is in charge of the crazy liberal French government!  It worked out for Hallel to be there for the 3 Americans - 2 taking the habit and 1 taking her first vows!  She was asked to come now for an interview to become a French citizen!
Pat and Tom at the free breakfast at the Fair put on by Farm bureau.
Joy has lost 3 front teeth and the 4th one is loose now...  Eating on the side for a while.
Simon's last year in 4H, and Joy's first and Tom still coming up in about 5 years!  We love our Lyon County Fair, 4H, and Pat is on the fair board now for most all of our marriage, and not ready to stop any time soon!  Jesus, we love all that comes with our lives of Faith/Family/Farm!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and the 33
