My house is full!!! There is such a warm feeling when my table is full and my beds are full. Pat even got home in time to tuck them in and say prayers with them! It was kind of miraculous after most nights being around midnight or later!
A better one of Mother Mary and baby Jesus for All Saints Day dress up.
The Queen of all the Saints is very special to me with each new day. I had fake plans of going to Confession for First Saturday and then to a friend's funeral, but that all changed with the kids here this morning... waffles shared with grandpa, too, hot tub time for the 3 youngest, and cartoons, now they are clamoring for snacks, so soon lunch time... Pat and I see how easy they are to have here, and how much they love their former home. Pat and I love how we can have our large family here and they are comfortable with all the wonderful room!
A table full for supper and wonderful eaters! We had hamburger patties left over from the Catholic Food stand at the County Fair... eating memories!
Comfortable in their former home! David and Simon had a friendly game of battleship before Simon headed out to his first junior high dance! Exciting times in the lives of growing kids in the Catholic School! It was a costume dress up dance, so Simon wore his police costume from Village People. He had a great time and "everyone was impressed with my dance moves! I got bouncy when the music was bouncy." He said that there was no pairing up..."they had one couples dance, but we all just danced." Love it! Pairing up of for the birds, and keep it to groups!
The Village People/YMCA
Luke and Rose had a great time in the hot tub... how I love our new bathrooms, and the kids have a great time bringing over their swimsuits to play in the Jacuzzi! I am so glad that the winter remodel is now behind us and we can enjoy the fruits of our labors!
The Gospel today is one of those humility reminders that we need to seek the lowest place. I must say that it comes more naturally to me after being sent down to the bottom place some times in my life. How? By seeing myself through others' eyes... a lot of it has to do with this sharing I do every day on this blog. I know that many close to me don't read it, and some read it because they are paranoid about what I am gong to say about them or pictures I will put on here, some say that I am fake here and that it is not reality... Yes, there are times that I look to the positive, but it is a form or therapy and prayerful hoping that I can improve myself on this narrow path and I am weak and not strong enough to carry my cross... rather I drag!
I have two cats that came over here a few months after the big switch of houses. They were so traumatized when we left that they hid for a couple of months. Then they were brought over here, and were so happy to see me! Mary won over Jososephat last night, but he still gets nervous with all the activity of having 5 kids here.
Jesus, thank you for a step back in time to when I had my nest years. The happiness of kids to be back in their former home is fun for all of us. keep me humble and allow me to die to self so that your light may shine. St Charles Borromeo was a man that modeled for those he shepherded "We must walk in front, and our spiritual subjects will follow us more easily." Modeling for them how to humbly give our all without counting the cost. Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barbara Mary Luke
Sweet Romeo Joseph is St Joseph the worker... talk about humility lived out in St Joseph. He never uttered a word recorded in the Gospel yet he protected, loved, and cared for Jesus and Mary.

“Let every knee bend before Thee, O greatness of my God, so supremely humbled in the Sacred Host. May every heart love Thee, every spirit adore Thee and every w...ill be subject to Thee!” — St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

Litany of Humility
O Jesus! meek and humble of heart, Hear me.
From the desire of being esteemed,
Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being loved...
From the desire of being extolled ...
From the desire of being honored ...
From the desire of being praised ...
From the desire of being preferred to others...
From the desire of being consulted ...
From the desire of being approved ...
From the fear of being humiliated ...
From the fear of being despised...
From the fear of suffering rebukes ...
From the fear of being calumniated ...
From the fear of being forgotten ...
From the fear of being ridiculed ...
From the fear of being wronged ...
From the fear of being suspected ...
That others may be loved more than I,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be esteemed more than I ...
That, in the opinion of the world,
others may increase and I may decrease ...
That others may be chosen and I set aside ...
That others may be praised and I unnoticed ...
That others may be preferred to me in everything...
That others may become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy as I should…
