"God of the living..." Mark 12

Pat's sister, Mary, and Daughter, Ida, did the flowers... Family is the Best!
Peonies were in season and we found them around town!
Always keep it light and be life-giving one to the other!  We rejoice with them as they love our Jesus and his Bride, The Church, and we are given the Truth in the Gospel today - "He is not God of the dead but of the living."  Mark 12
The shop bench is transformed for the grooms supper!
Ruth and Paul were gifted this at their first baby shower for Simon from Paul's grandma Mary Lanoue... it had always been in a place of honor in their home.  The Holy Family is our role model and we pray to them each day!
 Close family time!
Always baby kitty time!
Everything takes on a special meaning on your wedding day.. like the dog that survived and John nursed back to health while he was fighting his own brain cancer battle 9 years ago!  All that has happened over the last 10 years while Bobbi waited and prayed and trusted!

Grandpa, baby girls filling his lap and arms and baby kittens!!!  Some things never change and that gives me a lot of happiness!
Therese is in kitty heaven!
Father Craig is part of the family - for real and is always there for our family... I call him our family priest!

So much time on this today in the midst of kids and meals and husband and I will leave this for now.  Jesus, I am overflowing with so much and how I rejoice that you are allowing us to be living truly and happily in our small slice of heaven if only we die so self so that you may live in us!  Bless-bless, Barbara Mary Luke

"His own design... bear your share of hardship for Gospel" 2 Peter 1

A picture of life when you try to get this many kids to cooperate... number 1, finger glasses, eyes closed, one crying, and squinting in the sun.  It also looks like David has something in his shirt.  But all their sweet faces are in the picture, and that is all grandma wanted!
6 months separate them, but they are best buddies!  Berna and Rose dressed for the rehersal and grooms supper!
The expert steak friers... Pat the beef farmer wanted the best beef and he got it!
Where's the beef?
our lovely family flourist - cousin, Ida, with the brides bouquet she had just finished in the church basement while we were having the rehersal upstairs
The groom the morning of his wedding!  True LOVE!
John and Patrick high 5 - we survived thanks to prayer!
Baby  kitties everywhere - we have 10!
Setting up for the reception... it all flew by so fast!!!
Special family time galore!
Feeding the family on the beautiful porch!
Lilly got some little girl attention!
The two best buddies - Romeo and Dominic... two of the 3 boys that are approaching 4 years old!  Dom in just a month and Rome on Grandpa's birthday on September 15th!

Trying to sort through all my pictures is heavy right now... I think I will just send this along!  The words from the first reading were very powerful today in the light of our amazing weekend with John and Bobbi!  "His own design" is beautiful indeed!  Also that we are called to bear our share of hardship on this journey.  Bless-bless, Barb

More to share and I will see how it goes... Jesus, we trust in you.

 Surrounded by family!!!
The vows with tears!
Mr and Mrs John Verly!!!  the kiss
 True LOVE
 Mom's camera is her hand!
Caught this dreamy one of the two beaming with Therese and Our Lady over their shoulders and in their hearts!
The beautiful bride glowing!!!  She shared how she knew she would marry John for the last 10 years through brain cancer, seminary and girl friends... talk about trust in His Plan!  A powerful lesson for all of us to take to heart!
Honoring their 5 Godchildren... such lucky children to have their prayers and LOVE!

Ruth's family...

The Bandzuch bunch... they have had two losses in the last year... Max and Catherine.  As I say about my many losses - 7 - they make you appreciate those that you are allowed to have here on earth to raise and call our domestic Church/family and they keep our eyes on heaven so that we will meet them and live with them in heaven forever someday!

Therese with Mary... how we love Our Mother of Heaven and earth!  "Mom, there is a mother better than you."  "Yes, John, I agree!"
St Joseph to show us how to be a holy family... hear our prayers!
Listening to Bobbi share her story!  Many tears were shed and so many were touched!
 Finger light dance!
 A tiny dancer, Bernadette!
Grandpa - granddaughter dance - Therese and Wisconsin grandpa, David!
A picture of LIFE - the 15 grandkids just a few minutes before Nancy left for KC with her 4!
The watercolor aprons that Therese made for the 3 little girls!  She made them out of a skirt that was her Godmother. Hallel's before she took her blue habit!
One more of the 15... a cherished family keepsake because grandma insisted and they know better than to fight me!  I will end this for now.  Jesus, we trust in you and thank you for the beautiful plan for our lives if only we trust in YOU.  Bless-bless, Barbara Mary Luke

Overload!!!! Too much to share and too much adding to the too much!!!

I just have to get some pictures for my parents on here!  I have so many pictures on my phone and so much going on around me, and no internet at my home, and 11 grandkids around me including two baby girls... one crawling and one walking constantly everywhere!  Almost impossible to share here!
So beautiful in every way!!!
The 5 Godchildren were treated with love and specialness - these two will take their holy obligation very seriously! On
Only missing Hallel, whom we called just before the ceremony!  She was with us in spirit!
 Maria here from Tacoma, WA!
The procession with incense due to Corpus Christi!  Father related Marriage to The Eucharist - Sacrificial LOVE!
Little Dave looked so reverent!

Our Family priest, Father Craig, who is always there for our family!
Big Godson herding the 4 girls...
Holding hands
John's oldest sister, and Bobbi's youngest brother!
Goddaughter, Joy can't walk yet so best man, Paul/dad/ gives her a lift!

Running into another roadblock, so I am going to post this just so there is something for my parents especially!  Bless-bless, Barb
