Dancing by the cookies seems to be appropriate as we have all that is good and right for this special time of year. The Christmas Season!
Don't we all look for the biggest one?
Maria asked me what I wanted to make for supper the second night here... Spaghetti! We bought 4 pounds and I cooked 2 pounds, and the other 2 the following night. I know my kids - they love their pasta! With the spaghetti sauce we brought from our canning a couple hundred jars this summer... and our hamburger - YUM!!!
Therese with her amazing watercolor of a French town with all 18 of our family that traveled to Saint Pierre for Hallel's final vows... Even Hallel kneeling on the mountain to make it complete!
So lucky and blessed to have an hour with Jesus and Maria - it happened that there was Adoration this day on base.
So special to share our Faith as a family with JOY! It was worth the 2 days of travel to share here Christmas! There looks like we will face snow as we leave in the mountain passes! Lord, with us in our comings and our goings!
Not much left over after our Spaghetti feasting!
Lots of baby snuggles thanks to sweet Hector, who crawls up to grandpa and grandma and is so peaceful and sweet in our laps!
Even Hector has a cookie to eat...
Evie opens her princess dress complete with veil and crown.
Love the light and the delight!
Grandpa describes her as "stubborn and independent"
In the Gospel today John the Baptist sends his disciples on to the True Savior, Jesus Christ! Andrew knows that he is Christ and then goes to bring his brother Peter/The Rock on which the Church is built to Jesus...
And Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two who had heard of John, and followed him.
41 He findeth first his brother Simon, and saith to him: We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
42 And he brought him to Jesus. And Jesus looking upon him, said: Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is interpreted Peter." John 1
What does this say to us? We know The Truth and we are called to bring others - our brothers and sisters to Jesus! How we long to share His Salvation with those we are in the family/domestic Church with! Jesus, how we love you and long to bring others to know and love you with the help of our Mother Mary, and all the amazing Saints, Jesus in Word, Body and Blood... so much help we are given with each day of this journey! Bless-bless, Barb
Ruth is the birthday girl today - our oldest is 40 today! She loves to can, and how we enjoy our family canning time!
She is a master gardener and grew pails and pails of tomatoes this wet summer! So much spaghetti sauce that she was happy to share with her sister in Washington. And how they love their spaghetti!
Her beautiful sunflowers too!
Joy took this picture of us after a HUGE Day of canning spaghetti sauce!
Her youngest Joy loves her mom's hair! Meeting her great-grandpa at CCC!
We are so blessed to have my dad still and Ruth appreciates how he has led us into The Church and modeled for us how to be open to Family and raise LIGHTS.
Happy Birthday wonderful Ruth!!! We love you!
