Surrounded by kids and kittens on a glorious spring day... great-grandma comes out to the farm on planting day. The farmers are out planting the crop, the wives and kids are tilling the garden getting ready to plant the seeds. Great-grandma didn't seem to impressed by the kittens, but she loves to see the kids, the apple blossoms, the lilacs, the broiler chicks, and just get out on such a perfect day!
Sweet little Luke brings a smile to great-grandma's face!
Spending the day with Pat's mom... we are making some fake plans to go out and pick up Rose from preschool at HRS and then go to Ruth's place and then go to where the guys are planting beans. Today is the first day of beans, as we wrapped up the corn yesterday night.
We are sharing that today is Ascension Thursday - 9 days until Pentecost... the first novena as the apostles await the Holy Spirit! How we depend upon The Spirit to fill us with Christ and allow us to become his hands and feet!
An impromptu picnic and visit amongst the apple blossoms and lilacs with baby kitties and kids. The best kind of fake plans! We are off to get Rose soon and then out to Ruth's. Jesus, thank you, for the glorious day filled with the winds of your Holy Spirit blowing through our lives and our world. May we die to self, so that you may live in us. Bless-bless, Barb
