Preparing for our family Easter Vigil celebration/Flooded with glorious memories/There can be no Easter without Good Friday - +JMJ+

5 years ago the elder servers gave our Easter Vigil beautiful reverence and stately bearing through the few hours of many different parts from The Word, to the LIGHT, to the waters of Baptism and LIFE!  So much beauty to witness!
5 years ago at Applebees - Pat with his injured shoulder from a cow that took him against the wall of the barn and tore his tendons.  Applebees was our tradition as it was the only place in town that was open that late.  Since last year we have started a new tradition when we come to the farm and bring different hordurves to contribute!
Easter in KCK with Hallel about 10 years ago.  Before John found Bobbi.  This year Hallel and the little sisters and brothers are in France as their founder, Jean Claude is in his last days.  Hallel and The Community will not sleep tonight as they celebrate and recall hour after hour until he rises on Easter Morn!  They will have a huge fire as the LIGHT comes into the world!
Joy at the Easter Vigil 5 years ago.  Since Pat and I worked with those coming into The Church, and my experience as a convert with my family - the Vigil has become our family tradition!  I know that Nancy's family will be attending in Delano - St Maximilian.  And Maria with her 7 will be attending St Joseph's in Taylors Falls.  Her 3 oldest boys will serve as will Nancy's 2 oldest!
Maria's youngest, 4 year old Magdalene at the Holy Thursday Mass with her family.
There were 15 altar boys at the Holy Thursday service!  Wow!  So powerful!  My brother, Dan, sang in the choir, so his wife sat with Maria and the other 4 children!  LOVE our Big wonderful family!

5 years ago - Ruth holding John's baby Birdie Barbara at the Vigil.  She looks so much like my girls did as little ones!  So fun for me!
The miliary family 5 years ago in Washington State.  Maria was soon to have her Magdalene while Major Joseph was deployed to Afghanistan.
Paper Hallel 5 years ago.  I might have to bring her along tonight.  Look at how green everything was 5 years ago.
Easter Birdie 5 years ago!
Mary loves her goats!  5 years ago - now we have a couple pigmy goats - Cocoa and Mallow.
At the Stations of the Cross in Rome last night - the Pope carried the Cross to all 14 stations in the Colosseum.  Wow!
The Palm branches in Vietnam for Palm Sunday - Ruth was there!
Pat and I 5 years ago with some of the younger grands - we have added 4 since - Maggie, Tom, Gina, and Lucy.
Oh so true!
Joy at 2 years old - 7 years ago.  She turned 9 on March 31st!
Holy Thursday Adoration with the Knights of Columbus.  Talk about reverence and devotion to Jesus in the Eucharist!

Rose was one of the servers and assisted a dad, who washed the feet of his wife and children!  So cool!  17 year old grandson, David, got his feet washed representing those that are newly confirmed!
Hubby got his laying chicks on Thursday too.  Rose while we were putting them in their circle.
Talk about Easter Chicks!  So adorable!
4 year old Tom...
Ruth in Vietnam with her palms.  She was reading a book by Cardinal Van Thuan while there.  He is on the path to sainthood and was imprisoned for 14 years for his Catholic Faith.  I love to read his writings when they appear in the Magnificat!  He is wonderful, and I look forward to borrowing this from Ruth to read!  She had a spiritual journey while in Vietnam too!
I am so impressed by him.  I cannot wait till he comes to visit the U.S., but he seems in no hurry to do that...
All the comfort she offered to Jesus as well as to us her children!
So true!  How can it ever be accepted to kill the innocent life in the womb?  It must be cherished and protected from conception to natural death!
Dying to self so that we may love and serve without counting the cost!
Old lady with the baby chick.
Soft and cute - a sign of Easter!
So cute with his momma behind some years back.  We now have close to 160 calves with about 40 to go.
My first attempt at bunny cake - it will taste better than it looks!
Yes!!!!
13 years ago - I walked into the gathering space and saw 2 of my children there!  John was discerning the priesthood and Hallel was a nun with The Community of the Lamb!   John discerned out and is now married with 3 children.  Hallel took her final vows in France in 2018, and 21 of her family was there!  Such a huge blessing to have her example of giving her All to her Spouse, Jesus!
9 years ago taking their baby sister, Joy Jean Jellybean, for a Joy ride!
Easter at the farm 8 years ago.  John and Bobbi engaged and married 2 months later!
The military family 8 years ago - they have added 2 since - Hector and Maggie!
8 years ago Nancy and family lived in Shawnee, KS.  They were just half an hour from the Little Sisters in the heart of the poor in KCK!  They were happy to move closer to us in Delano, but leaving The Community of the Lamb and their rich amazing liturgies and Adoration during the week was very hard for them to do.
8 years ago - the new farm family!  Ruth and Paul had just moved on the farm a couple years before.   We traded houses so that their young ones could grow up living the farm life.  This old grandma got put out to pasture.  For the first time in my marriage for the last 10 years - I can give Pat a kiss and say - "Goodbye, honey!  Have a good day!"

They added sweet Tom 4 years ago, and he sure loves the farm too!
Strong and healthy!
LOVE this last supper - my new room will have this color blue!
LOVE this!
Nancy's Catholic Sprouts - helping families to love and follow The Catholic Church!

Big Dave the baby lover with baby George, who is now 7!
Ruth and Paul with #6 baby Joy, who just turned 9!  They have added Tom Tom!

Heaven comes down to earth!
Easter a couple years ago - all in pink!
Tom and Gina were 2 and are just a month apart!  I used this one for many Easter Cards!  It was a snowy Easter that year looking outside.
Yes, there was lots of snow 2 years ago! Joy and Josphine were 7 and are now both 9 and in 3rd grade!
2 years ago in Fort Leavenworth!  Major Joseph is soon to return from a 10 month deployment to Poland and Germany!  So excited for their family to be reunited!
3 years ago Joy's birthday was on Easter, and she wanted her momma cat to have kittens for her!  She did!

I am so filled with happiness and joyful expectation for my family gathering to celebrate the Easter Vigil tonight in different places!  We will be able to share ours with Ruth's family and John's family, and then have a feast together!  Then in the morning Nancy and Maria will travel here and we will ALL gather at John's home for an Easter Brunch!  ALL 23 of our grands together!  Yes, there will be pictures taken!!!

Thank you Lord and Lady for the beauty we share in our Catholic Faith!  Tonight is the pinnacle of our Faith with Jesus rising from the dead and destroying death! Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah! Bless-bless, Barb and the 33 plus 13 in heaven!

O God beyond all praising
