Family time here and in Delano/"They were growing in the garden an hour ago"/OT and NT miracle of multiplying food with extra - +JMJ+

Joy dressed in her Easter dress just so that grandma would take some pictures today.  She found my sunglasses from dressing in the 80's for the Hospice benefit.  She even let me put a big bow in her hair!  Tom on the other hand did not want to join, so...
A year ago Maria and Major Joseph had just moved to Fort Leavenworth, KS for the year.  We had gone to spend time with 2 of our daughters!
Maggie a year ago was joining her siblings with grandpa and grandma with the little sisters at Mass.  The next day we went to see an incorrupt Sr Willimena in a nearby town.  Grandpa couldn't get over how good she was for us!
Military kids in the refectory sharing breakfast after mass - Hallel with her French bowl of coffee!
Hallel loves to drive and does so in America and in France! She takes all visitors to Lourdes when she is there with visitors from America and other countries.
Prayer and dishes are their lives.
Truth we need to live by in this mess we are in the midst of!
Yes!!!
LOVE to read the Gospel the night before and fill my heart, mind and soul with the fruits of the Spirit!

Maggie and Gina are 6 months apart, and Hector and George are 3 weeks apart.  They each share their group in the family with another.  Maggie and Gina with Tom and Hector and George with Jude!  How we love to see our grandkids group up with cousin friends for life!
WE had a glorious day yesterday for our family Mexican pool party in Bill and Nancy's pool in Delano.  It was 90 degrees and we spent the day in the pool.  Bumpa Pat left hay behind to spend wonderful time with his family.  Here he is with his Maggie (3) and Tom (2 1/2).
With 23 grandkids all there - it was a wonderful time had by all.
Maria drove all 8+hours from Fort Riley, KS to join in a day at the farm and 3 days with Nancy sharing time in the pool with ALL the family except for Hallel!
Maria with 4 of her 7.  The older boys were off to the park for a battle with their PVC pipe swords
It was heartwarming to see Pat with 4 of our 5.  So thankful for Faith/Family/Farm shared.  Today the men are trying to get the hay baled and put away before we have storms come in this evening.  Keep the farmers safe and sane O Lord and Lady.
Suckers after the homemade pinata was broken for all to share.  These 3 are all within 6 months... Tom and Gina are a month apart and Maggie is 6 months older.  Friends and cousins for life!
Birdie and the 3 boys in 6 weeks!  Birdie and Jude are a year apart, Hector is 3 weeks older than Jude, and George is 3 weeks older than Hector.  They had so much fun in Nancy's wonderful pool!
The 3 boys in 6 weeks sure got a lot of time in the water... 3 fish!
Grandma and Maggie - even with sunscreen I am pretty burned today.
Homemade ice cream for the 23 grands and 4 of our kids with spouses, Pat and I = 33.  Only missing Hallel and Major Joseph.
The Delano water tower is right behind their house!
The creators of our homemade pinata!
Josephine with the pinata for our Mexican pool party!
Maria and her youngest, Maggie Rose.
Matching swim suits because their moms shop at Walmart!  7 year olds Joy and Evangeline and 4 year old Birdie Barbara!
Fresh green and yellow beans just picked an hour before.  One of my favorite things to say; "They were growing in the garden an hour ago!  They are that fresh!"
Jude and Birdie helping grandma pick beans for supper.
The bean snappers - 7 year old Joy and Evie with Maria and John!  LOVE to share our life on the farm!
Good helpers Jude and Birdie in Ruth's beautiful garden.
Our applesauce tree is loaded this year - we will make probably 100+ quarts of applesauce this year after 3 years with none.

So sad that the Olympics have been used as a tool to defy our Faith!  It is so hard to see the Woke agenda spread and thrown in our faces!
4 years ago Hallel here on a home visit while my dad was living with me here on the farm on hospice!

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Deacon Robert Cross - my dad on hospice in our Farm Monastery for 6 months - 4/16/20 thru 10/23/20

Our Lady of sorrows - on Pat's birthday is her Feast!  September 15th!
Tom learning how to shuck corn - it's ready!
Joy wore a pretty dress, so we had to take some pictures around the yard.
Wind to dry the hay and water tank.
Joy and Neumann
One with Tom before he jumped up and ran to the swing!
Joy and a chicken - we got our first egg yesterday!
Matching hair and feathers
Rhinestone shades to complete the look...

Pat was surprised by the first reading in mass today - Elisha feeds 100 with 12 loaves with some left over!

Reading 1 2 Kgs 4:42-44

A man came from Baal-shalishah bringing to Elisha, the man of God,
twenty barley loaves made from the firstfruits,
and fresh grain in the ear.
Elisha said, "Give it to the people to eat."
But his servant objected,
"How can I set this before a hundred people?"
Elisha insisted, "Give it to the people to eat."
"For thus says the LORD,
'They shall eat and there shall be some left over.'"
And when they had eaten, there was some left over,
as the LORD had said.

"I have never heard that reading before."  Said Pat.  "Isn't it exciting to hear new readings from the Bible?"   "Yes!"

The Gospel then was Jesus feeding the 5,000 with 5 barley loaves and 2 fish from the beginning of John 6!  John 6 continues with the discourse about The Eucharist!  A bit more amazing and miraculous, but we are filled with amazement and awe!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and the 33

Lisen to Johnathan Roumie read John 6 in the voice of Jesus!  LOVE!

Home after 3 days in MIchigan after 8 years away/Maggie's feast - St Magdelene today!/Waiting for wind to bale! - +JMJ+

The two teenagers heading out on a big adventure - kayaking across to the Island about a mile away - Summer Island.  13 year old Gus and 16 ( the day before) David were back reporting that they found a campsite and lots of beer cans and were back in an hour.

We had made the treck to Michigan upper Peninsula after 8 years away.  Each year since we sold our cabin in Manistique both David and Rose would ask me to take them back... finally with the help of Ruth we were there for 3 glorious days!
Large and enough beds for Ruth, I and the 8 grandkids we brought along.  Tom and grandma sat on the porch and waved at all that passed by... pickups on the road so close to our Airbnb and boats on the water.
This girl... 12 year old Rose has begged me to return to her beloved Michigan.  She is holding a honey comb coral fossil she found in the sand in front of our cabin.
Not exactly the beach we had hoped for but we had my sister there with a beautiful beach we could spend the day at, and so we did!
Tommy and Gina are just a month apart... Gina stayed home with her mommy and Tom came with us for his first time in Michigan along with Joy and Josephine experiencing Michigan for the first time.  Next time Gina too!
Tom and Gina before we hit the road on Tuesday morning bright and early.  We checked in about 5p and the kayaks were out on the water right away!
Today is Maggie's/Magdelene's feast day!  They did a photo shoot in their back yard in Fort Riley,KS!
With her brother, Hector, who is now 5 and Maggie is 3 - they play a lot together!
Sweet 3 year old Maggie with a project from Catholic Sprouts - The Catholic Sprouts Podcast | Catholic Sprouts
8 year old Josephine with her watercolor of the kayak and the Lake!
7 year old Joy with her black eyed Susans for my mother on her birthday - July 17!
Black eyed Susans from Paula's beach for my mom on her birthday in her favorite place on the Big Lake - her favorite place!
mom and dad's paver at the grotto of The Immaculate heart of Mary!
Joy and the paver at the Grotto on my mother's Birthday - it would have  been 95th!  Mom we miss you and love you!
Prayers for mom on her 95th!  We love and miss you sweet mom!
Tom and grandma on the porch together waving at the pickups and boats!
Glorious sky, clouds and kite over the inland Sea of Lake Michigan.  How I love it here after growing up spending much of my summers on Lake Michigan!
8 year old Josephine was wonderful with little Tom.  It was the first time for both of them to experience Michigan!  Squeaky sand as they walked in the soft sand.
Ruth with her 2 youngest - the 2 older ones stayed at home due to work and responsibilities.
It was a great JOY to spend a couple days sharing sandy beach and swimming with my sister, Paula, and her husband, Bill! Their family bought this wonderful shoreline right on the beach of Lake Michigan! Wow!

.Tom is happy to be back on the farm... bringing grandma some beans that mom just picked.
Tom and grandpa - "Tom gave me the biggest hug when he saw me after being gone for those days to Michigan!"  How we love to have our young farm family here on the farm!  Thank you, Lord and Lady!
Tom and Joy after mass on Sunday.
16th Sunday of Ordinary Time - the Disciples return after being sent out two by two, and report all the wonders they have experienced with their Lord Jesus.  "Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while."  How I love this and in the early morning hour daily mass is a way for me to experience this peace and JOY and bask in His LOVE!
Tom with his grandpa... he is so comfortable and at peace at mass each Sunday - every Sunday since he was born he has come to mass with mom and dad and his 6 siblings.  Usually grandpa and grandma are there along with his Uncle John and family with wife, Bobbi, kids Jude, Birdie and Lucy.  How we love to share our Faith as a Family!  Our greatest JOY!
How I love this!  Jonathan speaking at the National Conference for the Eucharist.  Daily Mass = the heart of Jesus.  No wonder he brings Jesus so powerfully to us in The Chosen!
Following the rake driven by Simon and the baler by Pat as they try to bale some of the hay that is down.  There has been no wind for days and now today we had rain... There is not much you can do about mother nature, but pray.
Lord, please allow the farmers to get our hay up.  It is crazy that we have no wind now for 3 days!  The windmills are standing still today.
Rose is at Celebrate Me Camp and I painted her a picture for the letter I sent for her to open.  Each of the last 8 years she has asked me to take her back to Michigan.  Thanks to her mother - we did it!  I am sad that it is over so quickly, but it was a wonderful gift for all of us!

Beautiful words from dad's man, Brother Victor, whom I read every day.  He wrote this yesterday on the Feast of Mary Magdalene.  So wonderful!  A LOVE story!
So powerful in The Chosen!
Tasseled corn at sunset last night.  Rain makes grain!
Around the grain bins on Hwy 59 where we lived for the first 8 years of our marriage and had all 4 of our girls here.  So many happy memories...
Paul's Birthday on the 21st - 9 years ago with the truck and Paul and Ruth won!
If you want to receive the Eucharist you need to believe that it is Jesus!  And if you do than how can you leave The Church!
Yes!!
The soybeans in Paul's field looking like they like the rain too.
Not my picture, but the full moon has been beautiful these last few days.
From my dad in morning prayer this morning gives me the greatest JOY!  The scripture he was reading when the Holy Spirit told him to come into The Church 53 years ago.  Truly Eucharistic!  Thanks dad for each day since our family of 13 came into The Catholic Church has been a gift to me - a pearl of great price!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and the 33

"Blessed may you be, my Lord Jesus Christ.

to be pierced with a lance and from that side water
and Your precious blood flowed out abundantly

"Oh Jesus! Sweetness of hearts,
delight of the spirit,
by the bitterness of the vinegar and gall which
Thou didst taste on the Cross of Love for us,
grant us the grace to receive worthily
Thy Precious Body and Blood during our life
and at the hour of our death,
that they may serve as a remedy
and consolation for our souls.  Amen.”
