"Vale of tears" over our times with Our Lady of Lourdes/"...come, follow me.” Yes, Lord - +JMJ+

Praying with John as our hours of Adoration overlap in the middle of the night... John's the last hour of Sunday and mine the first hour of Monday.  We were sharing about Lourdes as Hallel was there last week with some Americans and their parents there for taking of the habit and first vows.

I shared with John that the little sisters that went with us to Lourdes in 2009 when we were there for Hallel to take her habit and John was in the midst of a battle against brain cancer.  They went into the miraculous waters for the intention of John's healing!  "I didn't know that they did that for me."  John said tearfully.  Just as we prayed Salve Regina together we were both filled with tears of great emotion as we prayed - "This vale of tears..."

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: John's cancer stories

John's Spirit Juice video continues now with wife and 3 children!

Yes!!!
So many prayers!
My rosary is calling as I wait for my mower to get fixed...
So much goodness for my heart, mind and soul today!
Praying with John in the middle of the might - tears of great JOY and knowing the Lord's love and forgiveness as we recall John's winning the battle against brain cancer 15 years ago - we now have the new John!  He found his Faith through the battle for his life!
JOY!!!

The Gospel yesterday and the Truth that will set us free to reach our goal of Eternal LIFE!
Dying to self so that we can serve without counting the cost!
Plain and simple!
Roses champion photo of rain drops on a glass table top.
John found his faith and puts it into action by reading the Word and as an Eucharistic minister.  He did both on Sunday!  His reading is somewhat challenging, yet I feel that all are looking at John after his battles and appreciating that he puts himself up there to share the Good News with all of us.

"Jesus healed me and showed me  the True Church.  I love Our Lady so much after visiting her in Lourdes numerous times over the last 15 years!"

How can we turn our back on Jesus in his Body and Blood and Word? Impossible!  Bless-bless, Barb and the 33

Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go,
sell what you have and give to the poor,
and you will have treasure in heaven.
Then come, follow me.”  Matthew 19 today in the Gospel!

John sure loves Our Lady!  "There is a better mom than you, dear mother."  "I agree 100% John!"
Just out of the healing springs at Lourdes!  Jesus, we trust in you.

Lyon County Fair 2024 with the Assumption of Our Lady and MTC's 41st birthday and Bobbi's 36th!/20th Sunday of Ordinary time +JMJ+

Pat with our next to the youngest grandchild, Regina Maria, at the beef show.  Our County Fair is now here and gone just like that.  Nancy came with her 6 for the steak feed and the beef show the next morning.
Cloverbud Joy with her dad was so excited to show her calf!
Tom wanted a number on his back so it was dad's phone number in case he got lost in the crowds.
Gina and grandpa Pat.
Joy ready to show.  It will be a few years till Tommy shows, but it will be here before we know it.  Pat and I had to leave the beef show before showmanship because the last mass for The Assumption of Mary was at noon.  Nancy went with her kids the night before which is Maria's birthday.  Most nights of her birthday we would go to the Vigil of the Assumption and sing "Ave Maria" on Maria's birthday!
Gina dancing to the band at the steak fry - we sold 850 steaks!  They were so good!!!
co
Cloverbud Joy also showed chickens!  She picks them up and holds them with no fear at all!
Meanwhile in France we have been blessed with pictures of Hallel with the Americans that took their habit - this is ls Abigail, and those that took their first vows!  A couple days ago they all went to Lourdes for the day!
Tom watching the beef show with grandma - at one point his 4 older siblings were all in the ring together!
Our expert griller... 900 steaks!
The rain held off and people raved about the wonderful steaks!
Joy and her dad looked mighty nice out there.  She has 12 years of showing beef ahead of her.  Grandma might be in a wheelchair coming to the shows for her and Tom!
Such a look of happiness...
Rose and Mary with Rose's cow calf pair.  I can't get over how much Rose looks like her Aunt Maria here with that big head of hair!

I should do this more often!
Truth!
John was my assistant in Fine Arts!  We did morning prayer together on our phones to begin our day on the Feast of St Maximilian and Maria's 41st birthday.  How we love to share The Prayer of The Church together!
From soon to be 20 year old Simon to 2 1/2 year old Thomas!  All in red which was the beef shirt this year!
Such a great bunch of farm kids!  How we love to have them on the farm lending a hand and sharing the love of feeding the world with their old grandpa and their parents!
Just finished my rosary when I pray for all my kids, their spouses, and the 23 grandkids!  Every day!
The first reading from Revelations from the Feast of the Assumption of Mary to heaven.  August 15th
The stunning black eyed Susans in front of the Parsonage, and next store is the Apartments that Ruth and Paul brought up to a place of comfort and beauty!
Put on the armor of the Spirit!  Ready to fight against evil!

Hallel a few days ago... I think that it is pretty funny that the Holy Spirit is in charge of the crazy liberal French government!  It worked out for Hallel to be there for the 3 Americans - 2 taking the habit and 1 taking her first vows!  She was asked to come now for an interview to become a French citizen!
Pat and Tom at the free breakfast at the Fair put on by Farm bureau.
Joy has lost 3 front teeth and the 4th one is loose now...  Eating on the side for a while.
Simon's last year in 4H, and Joy's first and Tom still coming up in about 5 years!  We love our Lyon County Fair, 4H, and Pat is on the fair board now for most all of our marriage, and not ready to stop any time soon!  Jesus, we love all that comes with our lives of Faith/Family/Farm!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and the 33

My heart, mind and soul are in France... "I promise."/5 grandkids on a 19th Sunday/John 6 - "whoever eats this bread will live forever" +JMJ+

Our daughter, Hallel, is the first American little sister!  And how wonderful to see Oliviana there too!  It gives me great joy to see her sharing the feast of Stella Maris, who had just taken her first vows with The Community of the Lamb - "I promise!" in English in the midst of 2 hours of French.  I copied off the service in English so that I could follow along.
Hallel and Stella are sharing in the Feast of great JOY!

From the Profession by St Ambrose

Come forth, Lord Jesus, on the day of your wedding feast.  Receive her who was already consecrated to you in her heart and who will now consecrate herself also through her profession.  Fill her with the knowledge of your will.  Make firm, from the beginning, her steps on the way to salvation, in the spirit of holiness and true faith.

So will your servant say:  "You hold me by my right hand.  You guide me by your counsel and so lead me to glory."  Open wide your hand and satisfy her soul with blessings, so as to save her who trusts in you.

Maria shared these of 5 year old Hector playing priest!  So special and wonderful with so many prayers around the world for more to say "yes" to the call to the priesthood.  They bring us life everlasting as we receive Jesus each day in His Body and Blood and Word of God!
Daily mass is part of our military family's day.  It looks like Maggie's hand there as she joins in this acting out of the Eucharist!

The consecration - "My Lord and my God!"
Hallel with ls Abigail, who took the habit the night before.  So much Joy and such an amazing choice for them to take in becoming the Bride of Christ!

15 years ago we were in France for Hallel to take her habit - she went from Susan to little sister Hallel! Hallel is the first part of Hallelujah, and every time we say it we are giving God all the praise!  This all happened shortly after John was diagnosed with brain cancer!

John's Spirit Juice Video continues with wife and 3 children!

Now she is fully professed and we heard loud and clear in English in 2018 with 24 of us in attendance - "I promise unto death."  Her final and forever vow!
LOVE!!!  Yesterday in the first vows - she was directing the amazing perpetual music of The Community!
My Sunday was spent with John's 3 and Ruth's 2 youngest.  They were so good for grandma while John and Bobbit went to the Twins game.
The cows up in the front pasture got everyone outside on a beautiful cool day!   Even Neumann got into the picture.

The Gospel continued from John 6 in the 19th Sunday of Ordinary time.  These words ring true for us Catholics that believe in the True Presence of Jesus in The Eucharist.  I am the bread of life... this is the bread  that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die.  I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.  John 6:41-51
Yesterday was the Feast of St Clare, who is a patroness of Hallel's Community of the Lamb.
Helping hubby pick up bales night before last - just the two of us.

I am able to pray the rosary passing the time with prayers without ceasing.  I need to get cleaned up for mass tonight.  Thank you Lord and Lady for safety and prayers and time with our wonderful special grandkids - allowing me to die to self and serve without counting the cost... I need to do a better job of that.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and the 33.

"We should go to prayer with deep humility
and an awareness of our nothingness.
We must invoke the help of the Holy Spirit
and that of our good angel,
and then remain still in God's presence,
full of faith that He is more in us
than we are in ourselves."
