Built on rock... rainy morning after "Heavenly Family Time". All 26 together only missing 3!

Paul had just put the sign on my little red barn... HEAVENLY FAMILY TIME!  The only way to describe this amazing week with all 18 of our grandkids and all our kids except for our nun in KC, Little Sister Hallel!  A small slice of heaven on our earthly journey down the narrow path!
The three boys are rolling now... Jude beat them all and he is the youngest!
Our 7 granddaughters... we had a group of girls last.  Now a wave of boys!

My day is escaping me and now with the sun out we are heading for an afternoon at Camden State Park where my kids spent most summer days swimming.
The girls get silly.
From 14 to three boys that are around 3-4 months...
We have 11 grandsons!  So different after having 4 girls and then John!

Michigan family vacations have come up when we are together like this.  These were the weeks over the 4th of July that we would get away for prime heavenly family time!  This seems so reminiscent of our times at the lake with the huge family meals requiring washing dishes after every meal and the kids playing and playing and playing together!
With 18 there are many faces and hands on faces and sneezes and spitting up and tears... I think grandma has them trained as well as you can with all those boys and little girls with their happy one minute and crying and screaming the next.

Another familiar part of Michigan was to read the Gospel for today about building your house on rock and not sand!
"Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them
will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.

The rain fell, the floods came,
and the winds blew and buffeted the house.
But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock.
And everyone who listens to these words of mine
but does not act on them
will be like a fool who built his house on sand.
The rain fell, the floods came,
and the winds blew and buffeted the house.
And it collapsed and was completely ruined."

Good Fruit... Heavenly family time. Huge meals shared at the table of Faith/Family/Farm... grandpa and grandma spoil!

Two big sisters love the babies!  Hector has his finger in Jude's ear and he seems to like it OK.
Gathered around the 3 new boys, who made it so important to get together no matter the cost!  Maria flew from Seattle to Minneapolis with her 6 kids and then jumped into the van to drive 7 hours to Kansas City to see our nun, Little Sister Hallel for a couple of days.  Family time is worth the price of being kind of crazy and placing our trust in Him!
Grandpa showing 2 year old Joy the babies!  Grandma just couldn't stop taking pictures to capture the moments of glorious heavenly family time.

There is a time set today at 6p for family pictures... I have shirts for each and asked Paul to put a sign on my barn - Heavenly Family Time!  To get the 27 gathered together clean and presentable will be a slight miracle.   How the kids love to play and play and play and get dirty and have good clean fun on the farm!  No screens to keep them quiet, but all the wide outdoors to get all their energy and find real happiness playing together with their cousins!

The 2 and 3 year olds dancing in the camper that Ruth and Paul have for kids to sleep in while they are remodeling this summer...
I can't get enough of these!!!  The house just filled up with kids while the older ones and 2 moms are going picking strawberries for a big jam making day!
The beverage bar for supper last night on Ruth's porch.
Pogo stick time for the 2 11 year olds!
Grandpa spoils with doughnuts this morning... a table full and the babies taking it all in!
Hector joins - both of these boys are used to lots of activity and noise... King George has 4 older sibs and Hector has 5 older.  Grandma gets a little frazzled with the craziness of all this "good fruit!"

The Gospel today is speaking about the good fruit and how we are open to life and raising them as LIGHTS!
King George and Prince Hector in the middle of it all with smiles and chewing on fingers!
 Two boys in the sunlight

My life is too crazy now... you are all in my prayers!   Bless-bless, Barb

O boy, O boy, O boy!!! United at long last. Too much happiness! Enter through the narrow gate

Grandpa Patrick with his 3 grandsons, who were all born in 6 weeks last winter!  They are now from 4 1/2 months George, to 3 1/2months Hector, and 3 month Jude!  We are overjoyed to have them all here on the farm for a week, and finally laying on a blanket on this glorious day together in the gentle breezes... Hector's hand found Jude's ear quite a bit, but it was fine!
The 2-3 year old girls were all around...
A cherished sight to behold!  Waiting for this moment makes it that much more precious!
Adorable indeed!!!  O boy, O boy, O boy!!!  Jude loves his tongue and we do too!!!
Jude had to take off his pants - onsies only and show off those healthy happy legs boys!
Holding hands and strolling down the narrow path together... today Jesus calls us to enter through the narrow gate and the narrow path as we follow Him!  These boys are being raised in a domestic Church where Faith is shared in their family with great JOY!  The Truth!!
 Breakfast on the porch...
Wonderful 11 year old Therese with her baby cousin Hector!
Uncle John with his oldest nieces and his son catching up!
 2 1/2 year old Evangeline...
Ruth with peaceful Jude at breakfast on this most glorious day!  It seems that it could only be the most spectacular day to share all the happiness and love that we are experiencing being together for the first time - all 18 grandkids and all my kids except for our Hallel/nun in KC.
Our 2 Davids - Big Dave Lanoue, and Little Dave … they are a year and a half apart!
Maria and Hector and Bobbi and Jude... Nancy arrived shortly after and...
A beautiful bouquet from my garden that Therese picked to make the day that much more wonderful!
Mary and Therese are happy to be together, too!!
Hector thinks that George's swing is like a cloud to sleep on!
Now lunch... tonight they will be all at Ruth's... Our homemade tomato soup was loved by all.  That is why we do the work!  Tomorrow strawberry jam is on our family job schedule... pick them and then the family job of making our strawberry freezer jam!!
Grandpa with Hector and Jude... they all look muscular and healthy!
Evie adores Jude and he sticks out his tongue like Evie did as a baby, too!
The girls that are just the next older ones.
Love this so much!!!  No better day could I ever wish for!

Just back from a 3 day TEC retreat and it was super amazing to see the Lord at work and touching all those there!  To then immediately have this small slice of heaven awaiting me... I am over the moon filled with too much happiness to truly express in words... I think that my overboard pictures share that better!
Love my Most Cherished Cross here all morning with our family!  Seeing them all together... all 18 of our grandchildren sharing fun and play on such a stunningly beautiful summer day!  Nothing better!
Grandpa and Evie and a baby boy sandwich in between... too wonderful for words!
2 year old Joy comes to check this out!
Cut Mary's head off, but so sweet still...
Nancy's 3 year old Josephine, and Maria's 2 1/2 year old Evangeline make it super cute!

The Gospel today speaks of how we are called to follow the Truth given us by Jesus in His Gospel and The teachings of The Church!
"How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life.
And those who find it are few."  Matthew 7
Oh my!!! How I am planning the ones with all 18 in the next few days!!!
Oldest grandson, 14 year old Simon, surrounded by 5 of the boys looking over a leggo Catalog.
There is a difference between boys and girls, and we now have more grandsons than granddaughters... we had 4 daughters and a son with 7 in heaven, and now we have 11 grandsons and 7 granddaughters.  Very different and so wonderful and we are so thankful for each one!

Grandpa and his 2 year old Joy taking a nap in the shade...
The girls were making Bernadette a dress out of rhubarb leaves.  Girls have very different interests.  They are all over at the farm now and playing in forts and the sandbox/playhouse!  Outside on a top 10 weather day!

Jesus how we love you and are so filled to overflowing with the gift of this amazing time with all of our family only missing very few!  It truly is a small slice of heaven!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
I have been praying without ceasing for my dad, who has been away from my mother for a week while in the hospital!  They were reunited just a short time ago as my sister drove dad home to be with mom!  I am so happy and love this picture my sister took of their tearful reunion!  Thank you, Jesus!  My parents will be married 70 years in August!  Bless-bless, Barb

A song for us as we come more closely to Jesus this day!  May nothing separate us from the LOVE of our Lord on the Cross!
