We are still smiling about Fr Denny story at the end of his homily yesterday relating to how rich we are in what really matters in this world. His story not nearly as well as he told it...
There was a wealthy man, who wanted to share with his son how poor people can be. He took him to a very poor and humble farm to spend a couple days. When he picked him up and they were driving home he asked him how he enjoyed his time there. "It was great dad! We have one dog and they have 4! We have a huge pool that ends at our garden, and they have a creek that has no end. We have fences to protect us and they have friends and neighbors to protect them, we have lots of lights but they have the moon and the stars. Thanks dad for showing me that we are poor and they are rich!"

Hallel called from France and was overjoyed that Ruth first was called to his name being Thomas when she heard the reading of doubting Thomas coming to recognize the risen Jesus. "That reading is on Divine Mercy Sunday, Ruth! So wonderful that he represents that for our family, with his bringing newness of LIFE!"

Thanksgiving on the farm 3 years ago! We have added 6 little ones since than and still have one coming around Christmas! LOVE new LIFE making our LOVE grow bigger and more with each one!

Another Cross baby on the way! My dad has 4 great grands due in the next few months! He has reached 62 with the addition of Thomas Robert a week ago today!
Nancy and her new baby girl hosted us for our wonderful meal yesterday. Grandma finds her times of sanity by doing the clean up after Nancy takes care of the food. It makes for contentment all the way around I have found over the years. That is my happy place or folding clothes.
The Lamb is always in our hearts as we are members of The Family of the Lamb through our wonderful nun daughter, Little Sister Hallel! Their motto for their life - "Wounded, I will never cease to love." The Lamb shows us the way!

Porch lights, yard light, and the lights of the city of Marshall are filling us with hope as Advent comes in 2 days and we are longing for the LIGHT to shine forth in the darkness, and so it does!

2 years ago John and Bobbi with baby Jude meeting my parents in their new Assisted Living! Little did I know that mom only had another 5 months and dad would follow her 7 months later! Their time in the Assisted Living only was for 8 months till covid shut the door to dad and he came to live with me on the farm for 6 months on hospice until he passed on October 23rd, 2019!

A cherished Thanksgiving memory from 2 years ago. Dad got to meet baby Birdie Barbara as she arrived in May after he moved in with me. I have added Magdalene and Thomas since and soon baby girl Bandzuch. I am confident that dad is praying for us all first and middle names!

9 years ago in Kansas City! Rose is crying, and Bernadette is just 2 weeks old! It was a chance to see our Little Sister Hallel, who had come from France with Little Sister Marie! Nancy shared that this was a very hard trip for her. I can only imagine traveling 7 hours with a 2 week old coming and going to KC!

A dear friend of Nancy and Bill's and George's Godmother died in September from cancer just a few months younger than Nancy at a few days short of 39! Her words to us are such a testament of finding JOY in our time on earth with Jesus and Mary and The Church!
She left behind her husband, Charlie and 5 adopted children... such a beautiful life and witness to us all! Bless-bless, Barbara

5 years ago these two each had a baby sister after brothers! Bernadette and her Josephine, and Therese with her baby Evangeline Mary! After having 4 girls in a row - I am very excited for girls to have sisters and brothers!
