The Pat and Barb Verly family and their 5 children, in laws and grandkids along with many prayer warriors have been drawn together by John's cancer... sharing daily for 8 months started this blog- Family Soul Story - Our faith, family, farm and now our cancer journey called HEALING have colored and deepened our world. WE continue to share and depend on the support of our prayer warrior community, that has lowered us into the Lord's presence for His healing!

Welcome Thomas Robert on our weathered barn after sharing mass and our family brunch breakfast with 2 of our families - Ruth and Nancy's! That makes 19 of us gathered on this first Sunday of Advent!
Sweet new baby brother is just a week old, and well loved and cherished!
There are fake plans for his two oldest siblings to be his Godparents. Simon will be confirmed on Feb 6th and maybe they will then have Thomas baptized!
How special to have his two oldest siblings for his Godparents - keeping them close for the years to come!

Aunt Hallel is with us in prayer and spirit - we know of her special prayers for our family! She pointed out that the Gospel of doubting Thomas coming to Faith is read on Divine Mercy Sunday - "My Lord, and my God."
Eucharist means Thanksgiving, and so 3 days after Thanksgiving day we gathered for our wonderful brunch and filled our home with family! How we rejoice in our being blessed with more love now with the arrival of little Thomas Robert a week ago!

Fr Denny preached today about how Jesus came in #1 in History, #2 dwelling in us now, and #3 at his coming again at the end of time - a time that we know not! We are to be prepared at all times- "Vigilant" for we know not when.
R. To you, O Lord, I lift my soul. All the paths of the LORD are kindness and constancy toward those who keep his covenant and his decrees. The friendship of the LORD is with those who fear him, and his covenant, for their instruction. R. To you, O Lord, I lift my soul.

Thomas' stocking might even be done by Christmas to join the other 6 that Ruth has toiled over year after year!
