"Jesus saw... and wept"/24 hours to birth/Mom with Pope Benny and Blessed Solanus/Windy place on the prairie - windmills!

Beautiful Ruth with her son, Luke Paul, 8 years ago in front of the barn sign.  It will appear again on a much faded barn to announce the birth of Ruth and Paul's new son tomorrow!  Joy will become a big sister for the first time and #7 will be here safe and healthy with so many prayers surrounding his wonderful mother and baby boy!

:Luke on his baptism day 8 years ago - Joy was added 4 1/2 years ago, and now a new baby brother!
Thank you, Jesus, for the gift of LIFE!!!

Snow in the ditch and windmills turning very fast in the strong winds on Buffalo Ridge yesterday as Pat and I traveled to Brookings, SD with a specimen for the diagnostic lab there.

It was kind of special to see them as we attended a meeting about taking advantage of the prairie winds here with possibly putting up windmills here.

The sun breaking through and reminding me of the 3 crosses on the horizon as I prayed my rosary in my chapel on wheels.  The peace and hope fill me as I take up my beads and pray for needs and family and know that Mary takes them to her Son, my Savior Jesus Christ!

Such a wonderful sharing of Pope Benedict XVI today in the daily meditations mom left behind for me.  She read this daily for 10 years!  She rarely writes anything in here, but today she marked that her dear, Blessed Solanus Casey was beatified today 4 years ago.

How my parents loved Solanus, and knew of his gift of healing.  When they acquired a relic of his in the midst of John's brain cancer growing back though the chemo.  They came rushing here to pray over him hoping for a total miraculous healing.  It did not happen that way, but Blessed Solanus definitely was part of John's healing!
Another piece of John's healing - Our Lady of Lourdes!  How he fell head over heels for Mary, Queen of Heaven and earth to this day!
Gathered around John when the cancer grew back through the chemo... The week of prayer followed the week of December 1st - 24/7= 168 hours with at least one person praying - sometimes more!
We put the word out that at the 8a mass in November of 2009 that John would be prayed over with the relic and annointed!  The church was full of people!!!! Fr Paul had us come out into the aisle during mass, and all those there raised their hands in John's direction and joined us in the trusting prayers for healing.  My parents said that for there to be miraculous healing that John would have all the cancer gone as well as the healing of his ataxia - he would have been running and leaping down the aisle - a living miracle.

It didn't happen that way, but we do add this to the combined work of the Church, and his army of prayer warriors in his eventual healing which has lasted to this day - now over 12 years later with all cancer gone!  I had a dear Emmaus sister share with me a few years later that she had been suffering with a stomache ailment for quite sometime, and prayed for healing at that mass - "I was healed!  It was gone!"  So uplifting to hear this added part of the big picture of John's healing and Saints at work in real ways!
John with his faith filled grandparents 12 years ago!  All are gone now and are praying more perfectly from heaven for John and our family!  No doubt!

I now have the relic in my home and we take it with us in times of healing prayer and needs - John and I recently prayed with a friend with recurring cancer in her home using the relic and Lourdes water.  How John burns to share the Love and healing and gift of Faith he was given!

His story continues with wife and babies!

My prayer space includes my loving and faith filled parents now praying more perfectly from heaven, and a small piece of a saints tunic and my father's well worn Prayer of  The Church after being a permanent Deacon in The Church for 44 years after bringing all 13 into The Church 50 years ago!  Each day since has been a JOY and blessing!!!

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: The amazing story of the 13 becoming Catholic!

13 new Catholics at "the farm" - now being married to my farmer for 43 years - I realize that it was just a hobby farm to keep us busy and out of the city for the summers.
Having too much fun today with my story!!!  A truck load of new Catholics - Christmas 1971!

Maria made me Offer it up for Christmas - the picture is taken in France 3 years ago at Hallel's final vows... we are aglow after sharing mass and Adoration with The Community of the Lamb!  The tray is of a French village given to us as a gift by a French cousin of Pat's.

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Our marriage stories - "The world needs LIGHTS!"

Mom and dad hanging with Solanus.... their 70th Anniversary - mom died about 6 months later and dad died 7months after her!  Only 7 months apart while dad lived here for his last 6 months of life in our farm monastery!  So blessed!
Hallel makes the picture complete!  I emailed her today knowing that she is getting excited with the rest of us for the arrival of her newest nephew tomorrow.  How we depend on her love and prayers for her domestic Church/family!
A memory from 8 years ago of Gus and Berna - my old kitchen and old sink is now gone and Ruth has made this into her bedroom and the other South side the "command station/kitchen" where she can keep an eye on the farm and her many children.

It was quite stirring to me to see Jesus weep over the devastation he could foresee for Jerusalem. How me must weep for those that reject him and head down the wide path to destruction and eternal hell fire.  Lord, help us to be lights for those that are misled and confused by the lies of Satan and the world!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah

Dad's prayer today that he memorized and prayed to end our Evening Prayer together each night after supper.  So fitting as we ponder with Jesus those that need to find Him and be saved from sin and suffering!
St Mother Teresa reminding us that our Oil for our Lamps is PRAYER!!!  Bless-bless, Barbara

Yes, Jesus in The Word!!!
Dad's man Brother Victor today is special - the final  words from the next page

he prays to his Father that we may "be rooted and consecrated in this truth."  John 17:17-19
Feast day today!!!  LOVE the Church and how she loves to celebrate!
Welcome #21 grandchild tomorrow!
Life is the precious gift to cherish and protect from conception to natural death!
Yes!  Open to LIFE and raising LIGHTS!
