Haven't posted for a long time. Just wanted to drop this photo of my beautiful little family.
The beauty in this picture comes from the journeys that both my loving and God-fearing Wife and I took to get to this point. Our paths to each other and then to marriage and our little budding family are hugely different. A few common factors run through our stories. The commonalities were (and we hope will be forever) family support, prayer and miracles
To say God works in mysterious and beautiful ways is an understatement. It is also true that he has a plan even if it hard to see it or believe in.

John married 3 years ago to Bobbi and father of two little ones. He is a stay at home dad to his kids.
Susan who is now Little Sister Hallel - took her final vows 3 years ago in France with 21 of us attending and 3 in the womb!
Ruth Lanoue, who will welcome her 7th child on Friday the 19th! She farms with her dad and husband.

John before he went for his biopsy - anointed by Fr Craig with dad and Susan looking on. John has been very much changed and has challenges due to his brain cancer treatments, but his prayer for faith was answered - and the new John is filled with tremendous gratitude for his prayers being answered by Our Lord and Lady!

His story continues now with wife, Bobbi, and 2 little ones!
Now a man there named Zacchaeus,
who was a chief tax collector and also a wealthy man,
was seeking to see who Jesus was;
but he could not see him because of the crowd,
for he was short in stature.
So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree in order to see Jesus,
who was about to pass that way.
When he reached the place, Jesus looked up and said,
“Zacchaeus, come down quickly,
for today I must stay at your house.”
And he came down quickly and received him with joy. Luke 19

It was also very special to read this letter written by St Therese concerning this Gospel. She speaks of how we need to "descend" so that we may be an abode for Jesus - that Jesus may dwell in us in our humble abode - our inner chapel, His home within us!
Jesus dwells in us in our "intimate retreat" and how we do long for that end of our lives here on earth when "He will show us the day that will no longer have any setting." Keeping our eyes focused on heaven forever as we stumble down the narrow path carrying/dragging our Most Cherished Cross.
St Mother Teresa reminds us today that we need to take nothing for the journey! Poverty is hard but frees us from all that blinds us and gets in our way. Like Zacchaeus we need to climb up in the tree to see Jesus and leave all behind and be generous and distribute to those around us in need!

May our hearts too be an "ark and shrine, help us to sing the mystery of Christ's delight within the soul."
How we pray every day that those in danger of abortion may be protected and defended!
He is my ALL in all!

Jesus, how I love you with my all! May I die to self so that you may live in me and I may become your hands and feet and voice of Truth. We are so blessed as we stumble down the narrow path knowing that you are with us and long for us to be with you now and forever. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah

LOVE this so much. Scott Hahn is a Bible Scholar, who was brought into The Church as he searched for the Truth! So amazing is his conversion story!!! I too am a convert to The Catholic Church 50 years ago with all 13 in my family!
My father's story on Journey Home 2-26-2007I am also eternally grateful to my parents for listening to the Holy Spirit and bringing us into The Church 50 years ago! Each day since has been a blessing to me! Both my parents died in the last year 7 months apart after being married for 70 years! They continue to share the Faith we share with me each day by the prayer books they left behind for me! Bless-bless, Barbara
