Grandson Patrick serving at 8a mass/Big plans to go to DC on Monday/"the throne of God and of the Lamb..."

Grandson, Patrick, is 10 and today was his second time serving at mass at The Holy Comforter.  LOVE the statue of our heavenly Mother of God overhead holding Jesus as he holds out to us The Eucharist.  We are called to take Jesus into ourselves and then bring him forth into the world around us - the LIGHT into the world!

Saturdays are devoted to The Blessed Virgin Mary, and we are so blessed by her in our hearts, minds and souls!

Entrance Antiphon - "Blessed are you, O Virgin Mary, by the Lord God Most High, above all women on the earth; for he has so exalted your name that your praise shall be undying on our lips."

Patrick assisting Father Joseph Mary, who is from Uganda.  The boys and priest wear white gloves until the consecration as a sign of respect.

The reading today is from Revelations 22 about the Lamb and LIGHT and healing.  As Fr Denny reminded us week at mass each mass is a time in heaven, and to hear these words today at mass bring me to heaven in my heart, mind and soul...

An angel showed me the river of life-giving water,
sparkling like crystal, flowing from the throne of God
and of the Lamb down the middle of the street,
On either side of the river grew the tree of life
that produces fruit twelve times a year, once each month;
the leaves of the trees serve as medicine for the nations.
Nothing accursed will be found anymore.
The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it,
and his servants will worship him.
They will look upon his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.
Night will be no more, nor will they need light from lamp or sun,
for the Lord God shall give them light,
and they shall reign forever and ever.  Revelations 22

Grandma sat on the aisle and took many pictures - I especially love this statue too!

Suddenly hubby realized that this is his opportunity to go to DC on Monday, so there are fake plans to go with all but Maggie, Hector and I here at the house.  Also Major Joseph will be at college classes.  So suddenly we are staying an extra couple days.  Pat has checked with Paul at the farm and gotten the OK to stay and go to Washington DC.  I am promised pictures by Therese and Maria!

So beautiful and so much LIGHT/LOVE/LIFE - Jesus within after Word, Body and Blood fill us in this heaven on earth.  Each day while being here we share mass together.
Great job Patrick!
As Father passes we pay his homage by a small bow - he is Christ to us and because of him we can receive Jesus.
