10 years ago we had a blizzard snow storm now and Hallel was coming home for a home visit. Bernadette was about 6 months and her sweet hand holding Hallel's Cross is a precious picture indeed. When Hallel took her final vows in France with 24 of us attending - the cross was replaced with the Lamb indicating that she is fully professed.
Hallel meeting Bernadette 10 years ago on her home visit. Hallel with the older girls including Bernadette, who is now 10 1/2, almost a year ago when Hallel came to the farm
With her 22 nieces and nephews - we have since added Lucy Marie on January 11th. I am not sure when Hallel will be able to meet her.
The end of April 2022 was a home visit and we all gathered around her. She was able to meet the 3 new babies all about 3 months apart. Now Lucy has joined the babies!Tom and grandma having a snack on the porth - windy bus so warm - the snow is shrinking and the grasas is greening.
Fr Denny preaching on the amazing readings this morning with teh Easter Candle lit beside him. We also include the Gloria at these Easter Octave masses! The first reading today was the one from Acts 3 where Peter and John heal the crippled man, and he went walking and leaping and praising God!
But Peter looked intently at him, as did John,
and said, “Look at us.”
He paid attention to them, expecting to receive something from them.
Peter said, “I have neither silver nor gold,
but what I do have I give you:
in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, rise and walk.”
Then Peter took him by the right hand and raised him up,
and immediately his feet and ankles grew strong.
He leaped up, stood, and walked around,
and went into the temple with them,
walking and jumping and praising God.
When all the people saw him walking and praising God,
they recognized him as the one
who used to sit begging at the Beautiful Gate of the temple,
and they were filled with amazement and astonishment
at what had happened to him. Acts 3

Soft and sweet The Gospel today is out of this world - the road to Emmaus! Fr Denny preached about how these men were blind to the fact that this was Jesus walking with them until he shared his presence in The Word and then broke the bread and shared it with them - His Body in the Eucharist! Father challenged us to recognize how Jesus' Real Presence - how this makes our lives different? It is a "treasure" above all others and The Church continues to give us Jesus in The Eucharist and in the Word. We need The Church to recieve Jesus daily!

Lots of peeping going on - 24 ISA Browns - they will be red chickens that will lay large brown eggs every day. We might be bringing some with us to Kansas City in 3 days. Yes, we are going to spend some time with our nun! Pat has promised to bring turkey to open table at noon. So we must get that done and be on the road no later than 5a on Saturday morning.
In their home until they get too big and that won't take very long. No to keep the cats from having a snack.
Yes, within The Church we continue to be able to recognize Jesus with us in Word, and Body and Blood. He continues to heal us as He did the cripple with the words of Peter and John! "...in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, rise and walk.” We have living proof with our son, John, who 14 years ago had brain cancer and is now living proof of prayer of hundreds, and the Sacraments of The Church do heal! Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: John's cancer stories Also the healing we receive in the Confessional each time we recieve the Sacrament of Reconciliation!
LOVE this from Fr David! Wow! So true - come back to life with his unconditional LOVE and Forgiveness!
Hallel and Patrick playing in the water of the Baptismal font. So powerful for me to witness as I baptized Patrick in NICU after he had been born dead and brought back to life after Maria ruptured during delivery of her 3rd child - she has had 4 since!
Pope Benedict XVI today in the book mom left behind for me - she read it through 10 years and I am on my 3rd!
