The move for our military/Sacred Heart of Jesus burning with love for us - that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith- +JMJ+

Grandma time with Maria's 2 youngest and their dog while the rest of the family worked unloading a truck in their new home.

It all seems like a crazy dream that we spent 18 hours on the road to spend a day with our military family moving from Fort Leavenworth to Fort Riley, Kansas.  After a rain hubby saw a window that he could go and help them with our truck and his muscle.
An attempt to get the 3 with me in a room together...
Mom had to jump in to get the best idea of my time spent with them in Fort Riley, KS.
A very nice home with open land behind them.  "This is pretty nice!"
We got passes that will allow us to visit until March 2025.  I think we will see quite a bit of them when we can find the time.  We continue to have 2 daughters living in Kansas but now they live 2 hours apart and not 40 minutes.

I wasn't able to find the time to visit Hallel this time.  We left here at 5p on Wednesday and got there at midnight.  Spent the day moving to For Riley, and then left there are 5p last night and got back to our home by midnight.  I am thanking our guardian angels today for getting us home safe.

14 year old David in his Isaac Joques shirt from his Confirmation.  They work long and hard loading and unloading with another load still on base at Fort Leavenworth to load and bring down today.  As of now they are officially moved!
11 year old Patrick lives in his Pork chop shirt and works hard too!
The truck and some of the crew - a total of 8 did the heavy lifting.  Maria is famous for moving many bricks and books... ouch!

One truck loaded and this remaining to take the next day.  9 year old Romeo is one of the workers.
Our truck from Marshall loaded to help out.
Therese with her plants which are already transplanted in Fort Riley.  She amazes me and is like her great grandma Cross, Oma and her Aunt Ruth, too.  Not to mention her Great Aunt Angela.  Not so much her grandma Verly - me.
Therese and I drove the family's yellow car down.  Therese is getting her license, so she drove and I was a passenger.  We talked, prayed morning prayer together, talked and I observed her driving - it must have said no toll roads so we were on the back roads a lot.  We finally were on 4 lane for the last 50 miles or so.
Pat was all excited to drive through the Flint Hills of Kansas.  Not much topsoil above the Flint rocks and just grass and cows!
Driving through the Flint Hills of Kansas, praying morning prayer, with the cows and calves grazing in the hills of grass.  "This is really beautiful country here!"
All her plants now in their new home too!

Scott Hahn conversion story!  He is such a wonderful witness to the Holy Spirit leading us to the True Church.

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (June 7). A blessed Feast of the Sacred Heart to all!
As you may recall, the entire month of June is devoted to the the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Sadly, there are some Catholics today who see all of this as just old-fashioned, pious devotion.
But it’s so much more than that.
The heart of Jesus is the sacred organ of the New Covenant, the bond of union between our Lord’s divinity and his humanity — uniting His Father to us, His beloved prodigal sons and daughters.
What does that mean?
Now that the eternal Son of God has united Himself to our very human nature, we have access in his Sacred Heart, not only to to the source of forgiveness and healing, but to be divinely empowered to love as He loves, even - especially - in our sufferings.
Jesus knows our hearts intimately. He knows how weak and broken they are.
And so, as God promises in Ezekiel 36, Jesus will take out our hearts of stone and replace them with His own heart of flesh.
This month let’s ask our Lord to let us share in the love of his Sacred Heart, not just for one month, but for the rest of our lives.

The new home is beautiful!

Tom and Joy had a tea party the other day.
Today is the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus!

From Ephesians in the 2nd reading today - For this reason I kneel before the Father,
from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,
that he may grant you in accord with the riches of his glory
to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner self,
and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;
that you, rooted and grounded in love,
may have strength to comprehend with all the holy ones
what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge,
so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.  Ephesians 3

Pat was #6 of 10 children to his mom and dad.  His sister just shared this with us in mom's cards of memories
Each one if loved and wanted by  his parents.
The view as you enter the front door of their new home for the next few years.
Fr Denny celebrating his 50th Anniversary as a priest mass.  Many priests came to co celebrate!
Quite a testament to this wonderful priest!  For Pat and I he has brought TEC into our lives for the last 24 years.  It has been so important to our family and our marriage and our Faith Journey.

Thank you, Father Denny, for all that you have brought to us over these last 24 years!
Newly weds, John and Bobbi, opening gifts 6 years ago.
Joy with Neumann - he remembers her as he was born on her farm last year.
Tea party for Joy and Tom, also water colors, and swim in the Jacuzzi.  Time at grandmas include some things.
"burning furnace of divine love!"  It is something that I share often with others - "May the Lord bless you with his heart burning with love for you."
All the blossoms aflame around our Lady, who brings us to her Son's Sacred heart!  Tomorrow is the Immaculate Heart of Mary!  LOVE these days!  Maria is famous for making Sacred heart and Immaculate heart of Mary from strawberries!
Sights while I was mowing the other day.
Cottonwood tree giving me shade from the sun!

Jesus, I thank you for safety as we have been to Kansas and back.  Bless the family time as Maria's family come for some time on the farm.  May I die to self and serve without counting the cost.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and all.

Nancy is now on Hallow - Hallow - #1 App for Christian & Catholic Prayer, Meditation, Bible + Sleep
