Calving begins with warmth in the air/Tom and cows and calves/"be last and the servant of all" - +JMJ+

Tom petting a cow through the gate on a wonderful warm morning.  His dad and grandpa had just pulled a baby calf out and we went out to visit them.
Talk about eye to eye.  Talk about Trust, and the farm boy runs deep.
Tom, chickens in the sun and a new heifer licking her calf.
An orphan calf for Tom to pet.
A new calf just minutes old getting some meds sprayed in his nostrils by Tom's dad, farmer Paul.
Warm sun to welcome a new calf into this world.  We are so thankful for the beautiful warm weather after the frigid cold we had last week!  With the windchill - about 100 degrees difference.
Curious and cute.
One of the first calves for this calving season.  Another one born this morning as we are about a week away from due dates for many.
They lick them dry, and the warm weather and sunshine is a blessing too.

Outside the hospice house this morning I got out of the car to a wonderful sound of a bird!  I looked up to see this cardinal singing and singing.  Such a gift and speaking so much of the warmth in the air.
After mass praying at the altar of Our Lady of Guadalupe.  She is the Patroness of LIFE!  Her black sash indicates that she has Jesus in her womb!
Archbishop Chad at mass at our Catholic School this morning!
Struggle indeed!  This woman speaks TRUTH!
Sweet gift today.
Listen to this beauty inside and out!

Praying with Our Lady - she brings us to her Son!  She showed us how to be "last and the servant of all."
A year ago watching Cow TV. It has begun in earnest now.
The 4th Station of the Cross made by Rose last year - Jesus meets his Mother.  LOVE the tears!

I just watched A beautiful day in the Neighborhood about Mr Rogers.  There were tears and gratitude for his kindness to my children as they grew up with him!
Tom here with Newmann yesterday - It is interesting that he loves to watch Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood now!
A year ago at our brunch after mass - it was Lent already a year ago, but it is coming up a week from today!  Ash Wednesday March 5th!  Lent is so powerful and allows us to "Be last and the servant of all."  The Gospel from yesterday Mark 9.  Dying to self so that we may serve without counting the cost!
Tom and the cows - how we love to be able to watch them acting naturally on the surveillance camera in the barn!
Such a danger and falsehood in our lives.  It is so freeing and cleansing to lay our sins at His feet in the confessional and hear him speak the words of forgiveness from the priest - "May God give you Pardon and peace, and I absolve you from your sins in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen."
We pray for our Holy Father, who is in the hospital fighting lung problems.  Jesus, hold him close to your heart burning with love for him.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and the 33 here and 13 in heaven.
