Preg checking day/Princess and the pea/Simon and Jude today... "a temple sacred in the Lord" -+JMJ+

Jude with his statue of St Jude on this day devoted to St Jude and St Simon!  Happy feast day buddy!  Your Patron is one special Saint  - we turn to him when things are impossible.  St Jude pray for us!
Rose decked out with green makeup for her performance of Princess and the Pea - she is the Pea and does such a great job!
Missoula acting company is in town and 3 of the grandkids is involved in it.  Rose Again is the Pea.  Yes, the Princess and the Pea is the production this year.

Tom time yesterday and today while mom and family are out preg checking the 180 cows just before it started to snow.  The blanket is a birthday gift from my sister, Cheryl!  LOVE Our Lady and sweet grandson Thomas Robert. He is named after my dad, Deacon Robert Cross, and he loves to sit in my dad's lift chair and go up and down.
How the healed Tom loves to run around my circle with a huge smile and he runs up to give me a hug each time!  All healed after his scary accident of Labor Day.  Still some physical therapy to work on the final healing.
Here he comes!!!
He is a sweet boy for his old grandma - so much love for me!
Getting into the winter mode - although today we had the big job of preg checking the cows - the ones that are open with no calf are put in the feedlot to fatten.  It is always a day of some disappointments when some of the favorites are open.
Home for supper together is a big change after his coming home late at night.  "We try to get chores done around 5p so we can be home for supper with the family.  Last night we attended the play at the school with 3 of our grandkids in it, and then ate in town.
This is from St Mother Teresa yesterday and reminded me of the editorial that Therese wrote in her first Newsletter...https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oKP74rulmKYAj_G4wyfmXIhv-TE6jOTe/edit?pli=1&fbclid=IwAR3Mc4Aj7BWARlOptdy1uR6lXhpmdGPBsVs1wGLhaHNa1A62ucYYK75Ooko

Letter from the Editor

Dear Reader,

What moment are you living in?

I was inspired to write on this topic because it has come up a lot in my life recently. First I

was reading The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis and came upon a striking image. In the

book, Screwtape (a senior demon) advises his nephew demon on the best ways for devils to

undermine God and humanity. One way is to cause humans to get caught up in worrying

about the past or the future - anything except the present. In doing so, a person loses track of

eternity. “For the Present is the point at which time touches eternity...in it alone freedom

and actuality are offered.” So, the present is the only time in which God offers us the ability

to act upon our free will and the time in which we are the closest to Heaven.

While reading this, I was also listening to a podcast that mentioned St. John Paul II. It

was said that he spoke to individuals with such love that they would feel as if they were the

only person in the whole world he was speaking to.

It was clear that the Holy Spirit was trying to bring this idea of “being present” to my

attention. I began to think about how this could lead us to just focus on the present moment,

not on that exam tomorrow, that appointment, that interview, or that anticipated moment

years from now (marriage, college). I had never really stopped and thought about the great

value of now. As I ponder it, I realize that some of the best and most meaningful moments of

my life were when I just stopped everything and saw how blessed I am. I am blessed to have

brothers who drive me crazy, but who are also always there to expel my boredom with their

yells and foam swords. My day is more joyful when I stop and notice how truly spectacular

the sunset and sunrise are. Something so beautiful could not come about of its own accord.

By being present, I appreciate the gifts of God on a whole new level. In the same way, the

best conversations I have had were the ones when the person talking to me acted as if I was

the only person they wanted to talk to and love at that moment.

So, what is a practical way in which we can do this? If you are like me, you are worried

about many things. I challenge you to try every day to spend just five minutes putting your

worries aside, and in the present moment, either in a conversation or just in life, paying

attention with your whole self.

Christus regnat,

Pope Benedict XVI yesterday was good about sharing the Good News!

So good from Brother Victor!
Such a powerful image of our Lady and Lord in the midst of the battles!
Yes!!!
LOVE this!  Prolife breakfast tomorrow at Holy Redeemer in Marshall!

The first reading today from Ephesians speaks of how each one of us is a "temple sacred to the Lord."  I pray that lives in danger of abortion may be saved and protected!

Reading 1 Eph 2:19-22

Brothers and sisters:
You are no longer strangers and sojourners,
but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones
and members of the household of God,
built upon the foundation of the Apostles and prophets,
with Christ Jesus himself as the capstone.
Through him the whole structure is held together
and grows into a temple sacred in the Lord;
in him you also are being built together
into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

So many lives and lights that are extinguished in abortion - they are needed to spread the Word of LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT!
A Birthright friend helped me put up the fetal models in a spot where all would see it - especially the little ones that are coming with their parents!
I have noticed that when we work at the prolife booth at the fair that the models attract the kids and they bring their parents over to see them.
My friend; "We don't know how these might come to their mind when they are older and making decisions about LIFE in the womb."  Yes!!!  Hear our prayer, O Lord and Lady!
So real and powerful to know that prayer is the Battle!
11 years ago - I returned home after a month on base in El Paso with the traumatic birth of Patrick.  He is now the picture of health!
Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: The story of little Lamb - grandson Patrick
Dad today underlined this for me to know that he is fighting the battle with evil through prayer in heaven!  I have no doubt that dad is in constant prayer for his family of 143 and the Great-grands now numbering 68!  We depend on your prayers dad and mom!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara and the 33 plus many Little Sisters and Little Brothers.
After the Last Supper it was Jude who asked Our Lord
why He chose to reveal Himself only to the disciples
and not the world.  He received the reply:

 Whoever loves me will keep my word, says the Lord;
and my Father will love him, and we will
come to him, and make our home with him.
- John 14: 23 (Today's Communion Antiphon)

"Just as Christ was sent by the Father, so also
He sent the apostles, filled with the Holy Spirit.
This He did so that, by preaching the gospel to every creature
(cf. Mark 16:15), they might proclaim that the Son of God,
by His death and resurrection, had freed us from
the power of Satan (cf. Acts 26:18) and from death,
and brought us into the kingdom of His Father."
 Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy

Almighty God, You chose Your servants Simon and Jude
to be numbered among the glorious company of the Apostles.
As they were faithful and zealous in their mission,
so may we with ardent devotion make known
the love and mercy of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever. Amen.
Sts. Simon and Jude, pray for us!

Farm time wrapping up the field work/2 hours of Hope and Healing/143!!!/Taking eggs to my chicken lady! - Setting the earth on fire! - +JMJ+

Tom and grandma in the old pickup hauling our bales and watching his dad and mom load the big hay rack carrying 14 bales.  We spent Monday and Tuesday picking up most of 900 bales round after round.  We got rained on a bit on Tuesday, but kept on going and got them all to the yard ahead of the almost inch of rain.
Lots to watch and almost as entertaining as the Paw Patrol we watch together!  We even cheered "Go, Go, Go, Go..." with big smiles on our faces as mom roared by with her big tractor hauling her 14 bales.
The first bale goes right behind us in the back of the pickup!  Tom was surprised by that the first time, but would clap when grandpa would take it out to stack on the pile.  Lots of clapping his hands when he liked what grandpa was doing.
Ruth and Paul doing the dance of loading as she moves ahead perfectly.

Tom got to ride along with dad in the seat next to him with a seatbelt.  He smiled and waved at grandma for some loads and then came to join me in the pickup for a nap.
Such a sweet boy having some learning experiences safe in his seat belt.
Go, go, go, go, go, go!

Watching grandpa and the payloader stacking the fortress of bales.

Naptime on a pillow made of hats and gloves that were left in the pickup.
A true farmboy knows how to adjust to the situations he finds himself in.

My friend Marie - we share a lot about chickens as she raised eggs - 300 pullets each spring!  I find it kind of special to bring her a dozen of my eggs from our 20 chickens from time to time.  A drop in the bucket compared to her 300 a day.
Her eggs were white, and we like our brown eggs.

She laughed when I showed her Pat on Sunday with the flock of chickens following him.  The leghorns that Pat grew up with and she raised were spooky and hard to catch.
These are like "pets."

Some of the leaves in Balaton while I delivered Meals on Wheels - all from one tree!
Natures Jewels!

Sunday afternoon - our Hope and Healing service - Bishop Chad placing Jesus in the Monstrance for Adoration for the first hour while there were 6 priests hearing Reconciliation and 4 groups praying with individuals for healing.
Jesus we adore you!  Today in the Gospel Jesus speaks such powerful words which I am sure was the case with the many there worshiping and adoring and asking to be filled with his Hope and Healing!

Gospel Lk 12:49-53

Jesus said to his disciples:
"I have come to set the earth on fire,
and how I wish it were already blazing! "

The Gospel today!
Looking down from the Cross - the supreme sacrifice for our sins and our healing in the confessional as we lay our burdens and sins at his feet!
Fr Tony spoke from his heart about his battle with cancer...
Under the Cross and sharing with all his cross called Small cell lung cancer.
Two confessionals on either side of the altar.  The Bishop joined our 5 priests in hearing Reconciliation.

Suscipe prayer by St Ignatius of Loyola

Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty,
my memory, my understanding, and my entire will,
All I have and call my own.

You have given all to me.
To you,  Lord, I return it.

Everything is yours; do with it what you will.
Give me only your love and your grace,
that is enough for me

Prayer for Trust and Confidence in God's Mercy

O Lord, we ask for a boundless confidence and trust in your divine Mercy, and courage to accept the crosses and sufferings which bring immense goodness t our souls and that of Your Church.  Help us to love You with a pure and contrite heart, and to humble ourselves beneath your Cross, as we climb the mountain of holiness, carrying our cross that leads to heavenly glory.  May we receive You with great faith, and love in Holy Communion, and allow You to act in us as You desire for your greater glory, O Jesus, most adorable Heart and eternal fountain of Divine Love, may our prayers find favor beflre the Divine Majesty of Your heavenly Father.    St Padre Pio
The Confessions and prayers went on for 2 hours!

Oh, how I long to shout this Truth from the rooftops!  It is so sad how Satan has lied to couples that they need to limit their families to the 2 children and then it is perpetuated forward into the next generations.   My parents have now reached 68 great-grandchildren and our family is now at 143!  LIFE is the greatest gift!

Mom and dad not only had 8 children, but they adopted 4 additional!  Yes to LIFE!

Hauled bales till dark and the field around the farm worked as the sunset.
My load of many...
Stunning sunset on Monday with cows in the pasture and in the yard.  They are now home for the winter.
Pat building his fort around the yard with the red sky!
Wow!
How did it ever get to be accepted to take the innocent life of babies in the womb?  I cannot understand how this happened!  Lord and Lady, save lives of the unborn!

The Apartments on Sunday - a two bedroom that is now occupied... the view we love - Joy in the window with our beloved Church behind!
Kitchen and door out to huge balcony!
Outside space that we covered with tin and falling down before!

Lots of wonderful light!  So much better than the mess it was before - it is loved now!
My hero, St JPII, his feast day was on the 22nd!  I know he is fighting from heaven to protect LIFE and families that are under attack!
Tom and kittens are a constant thing.
Tractor starting up to go and dig the fields around the farm.
Cows in the yard and Pat taking out the fence for another year.
Busy farm - always praying for Tom and all to be safe as well as the farmers and the farm family.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara and the 33 plus many Little Sisters and Little Brothers.

Monday was also the 3rd Anniversary of my dad's death here in my "farm monastery."  I wrote a page about our 6 months together last week spurred on by this anniversary... It makes me smile and relive the joyful gift my dad is to me and continues to be!

for it is light that makes everything visible. ...
