Jesus with me and blessing our family! The intimacy of the Adoration chapel is wonderful and the deep prayer with my Lord through my Lady is such a gift. I do admit that I love the beauty of praying in our beautiful church, so to have this very special picture of all of us "filling up the Church" made is very special in the cold early hours of Thursday of the second week of Ordinary time!
I pray for by name for the 250+ in both of our huge families and smiled as I prayed for a new baby girl - Maeve Amelia for the first time. Still 2 in the womb to pray for on the Cross side - my extended family! LOVE to pray for LIFE in the womb!
The vigil light reflects the Truth that Jesus is truly present - "Jesus and Mary, I love you. Save souls."
Reading the Gospel last night and again this morning as we have learned from our Community of the Lamb. I am reminded of a special occasion I had years ago by the invitation of my daughter, Susan, who was living in the discernment house by St Thomas - she is now Little Sister Hallel, a professed nun in a Dominican Community in France. She asked me to come up to a special night called Core Jesu - Heart of Jesus. She spoke of her love for Jesus in Word and Eucharist, and then there was Adoration of Jesus on the altar, Reconciliation throughout the beautiful church with 3 priests, and praise and worship music going on. Around the base of the monstrance was a scarf, so that you could go forward and hold onto the hem of his robe while you prayed! Touch Him!!! So powerful to experience!
Today in the Gospel they are pushing to touch him and be healed from their diseases.
He told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd,
so that they would not crush him.
He had cured many and, as a result, those who had diseases
were pressing upon him to touch him.
And whenever unclean spirits saw him they would fall down before him
and shout, “You are the Son of God.”
He warned them sternly not to make him known. Mark 3
Dad today in Morning prayer - Psalm 80 making it clear that God's LOVE shines on us and we are saved. LOVE to pray with dad each day! I am blessed by his wisdom and Truth!
So many prayers for each one in our domestic Church/family as we are open to LIFE and serious about raising LIGHTS for the world. Our Faith is the most important part of our lives second is our family!A picture from the road of only wet roads as they go through a mountain pass in January! Thankful that they are safely home. Pat is now at the Seattle airport to fly out soon for home. I am on the road in a few hours to pick him up in the Cities in my chapel on wheels. This is a picture of what I love so much about my Most Cherished Cross, Farmer Patrick Verly! He loves LIFE and embraces the Church's stand on being open to LIFE in your marriage/domestic Church/family. Thank you, dear Patrick! By embracing you in the marital embrace we have our 5 with us and our 7 in heaven praying for us. Add to that the 6 grandchildren in heaven - we have an additional 13 to add to our 33... our family truly is 46! That is a lot of LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT to enter the world!
A picture taken by her big sister of Magdalene Rose at 8 months. Pat had to say "goodbye" to her and her 6 older sibings... till next time.A crazy time of getting all in the LIVE Nativity! Jude a shepherd nd Birdie an angel...
Not very authentic as there were no guns of any sort 2,000 years ago...
My stray cat that has come in from the cold. The Advent wreath and Christmas tree are now put away, but the lights on my porch remain as we face this cold long winter - they are lights in the darkness that give us hope. Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barbara and the 46!
Mom and Pope Benedict XVI today - we can only be good with Our Lord and Lady to help us!
Dad and sweet Brother Victor - warmth in the long cold winter - more time for prayer!
Danielle Rose writes her music in front of Jesus on the altar in adoration!
