Tom's birthday pictures and FFA too/Beauty around us leads us to God - +JMJ+

After a 3 hour nap Tom was in a great mood to take some Birthday pictures - he will be 2 on Sunday!  With one of the baby Siamese that will be going to homes next week.
Beyond Blessed for sure!  Pat and I always stop to say a prayer of gratitude to Our Lady, Mary the Mother of God, on our way out of church after mass. All our prayers to protect our little Tom were answered with is healing from his accident on Labor Day.  I could have been so much worse or even fatal.  He is now as good as new!
Telling grandma that he wants to load bales of toilet paper on his bale rack.
With the spring kitten, Dickens.
Bright and beautiful boy!
Aglow with happiness and health.
Taking the tradition of 2 year pictures in the small FFA jacket.  It is used at their graduation party with the one from here and now.  Simon's happened last year and Mary's will be this year!  I put this one on the fridge - "I want Tom-Tom on the fridge too!"

17 year old Mary walked in the door from school, and helped get her Godson, little Brother Thomas, in his FFA clothes!  She is an officer and so it just seemed special for her to do this for her baby brother!
White shirt
Buttoned  all the way up
Because a black tie is worn - jazzy!
Almost ready - mom had to tuck in his shirt to look pulled together!
the tuck in position.  thanks, Mary!
One loved and spoiled boy by his older 6 siblings!  He is such a gift of New LIFE for his farm family!  We are "Beyond Blessed" for sure!
With a back drop of the farm!

One of many capturing his personality.  Such a sweet farm boy... his favorite sounds - "Moo and Brumm"

He is such a snuggler too!  This grandma is greatly blessed to have so much love from a little guy.  We have become very close due to the apartments that mom and dad are so busy with across from the Church.  He giggles with glee when he knows that he is coming to grandma's house!
Yes, I am an old lady, but I am devoted to Our Lady... Immaculate heart watching over us.

On my porch - getting tired but still being cute for grandma through my porch railings.

This has taken me two days now with a big family job this morning implanting the cattle.  Grandma was with the 2 youngest and we traveled around the yard capturing Tom the day before he turns 2.

I was very impressed by the first reading yesterday from Wisdom 13 about how we see God's fingerprint revealed to us in the beauty of all that is around us...

Now if out of joy in their beauty they thought them gods,
let them know how far more excellent is the Lord than these;
for the original source of beauty fashioned them.
Or if they were struck by their might and energy,
let them from these things realize how much more powerful is he who made them.
For from the greatness and the beauty of created things
their original author, by analogy, is seen.  Wisdom 13

There is much JOY in discovering God through the world he created out of love for us!

We started at the grain bins with kittens.
One of the best!
I have a tradition of doing black and white by the grain bins- it is just special!
LOVE the look - Joy's hair blowing across though.
Now the Siamese...
Squinty smile is sweet.
Band W
Soft look with Joy.
Sweetness
Dimples showing.
Not too sure about standing on the fence - Joy was holding him up there.
The payloader.

Tom's favorite word is "moo."  He was saying it alot while we watched grandpa implanting the cattle - Ruth gave 2 shots to each, Paul pushed them up one at a time into the headgate, Luke helped push them up, Simon was in the back and Rose helped move them out when they were done.  A true family team work!
A fun safe place to watch all the action in the back of the old pickup!
Farmboy Tom will be 2 tomorrow - November 19th!

60 plus degrees and not much wind = hat and jacket off.
Happy boy to be out on a beautiful day with his family!
Deep grass in the hay feeder - running and happy!  So wonderful to see him fully healed after his scary 4 wheeler accident on Labor day.
"MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
He doesn't talk much yet, but he gets his point across.  I did think I heard him call me "gma" today.
Watching the dog, Teddy., climb the bales and run across the top after a cat.
Not too happy to be sitting on the top of the bale with sister Joy.
No smiles here...
In the feed bunk was new and different.

He liked to walk back and forth
Put me back in there grandma.
Rose out to visit her fair steer Robin.
he sure knows his Rose Again!
Scratching his chin.
My sidekick Joy helped me a lot along the journey of taking Tom's 2nd birthday pictures around the farm yard!
Tom kitty and the Herford bull checking him out...
Wow!!!  Curly and cute and BIG!
Tom in the feedbunk with many heifers around him.

A look of wonder and a cute red and white calf too.
A little too close...
Walking down the bunk to get to grandpa, Rose and Luke.
he got there...
We have got to go and implant the steers now, Tom.  Look at grandpa's huge hand!
Corn stalk bale in the sun with Dickens and Joy.
Riley upside down getting his belly rubbed with the warm sun shining on him.  Heaven!
Dickens says that it is nap time, and Tom agrees.  But he takes his nap in mom and dad's bed in the house.
A stop in the shop to see the tractors and equipment including the old tub grinder, and Joy on her bike.
Tub grinder and the baler...
Tractors galore!
Tractor tire picture before we call it a day and make lunch for the hard workers and Tom lays down for his nice long nap.  Tomorrow we gather to share mass in the morning, and then at the farm to sing "Happy Birthday" to our sweet gift of LIFE, Thomas Robert Lanoue!
His dog, Teddy, is so quick that I barely got this quick shot before he was off again.  What fun to have a old fashioned photo shoot around the farm for Tom's 2nd birthday!  We are truly blessed with a wonderful life on the farm as we feed the world!  So much wonder and JOY do we experience in our little ones.  Thank you, Lord and Lady for healing and protecting Tom and all those working and living on the farm.  Hold Thomas Robert close to your heart burning with LOVE for him.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara and the 33 plus many Little Sisters and Little Brothers.

Taking kids to mass is so important and hard!

I love this!  I live in my crocks!
Thomas Merton was huge for me as a new Catholic at 20 years old - 7 Story Mountain!
Rose's band concert!

Baby Luke Paul on his Baptism day 10 years ago  - A picture of LOVE!
Dad sending me LOVE from heaven how we both adore The Church!
Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: The amazing story of the 13 becoming Catholic!
Tom and the toys he loves at grandma's house!

Unloading corn into the truck with the agar.  He pays attention to what happens on the farm.  Keep him safe Lord and Lady!
