Evangeline's First Communion/Fr Denny 50 years - 24 for us!/Moms of little sisters - "We have given up everything and followed you."-+JMJ+

Two mothers of little sisters met today.  Veronica from Chili was close by visiting her Foreign Exchange mother from 40 years ago that lives in Sioux Falls, SD.  It turns out that we both share a love for Schoenstatt Sisters and feel that our daughters call came from their time with them years ago!

So wonderful to meet and share our daughter's journey with each other.  Imaculata and Hallel heard the Lord call them to be his spouse, and their lives are filled with great JOY!

Farm lunch on Ruth's beautiful porch with our new friends.  "It is so green here!"  this time of year is fluorescent green especially with the rain we have been getting this spring.

So appropriate that the Gospel today from Matthew 10 is about those that Follow our Lord and leave all behind!  This is what our daughters have done and so it is true that their are many Monasteries throughout the world that they serve in!

Gospel Mk 10:28-31

Peter began to say to Jesus,
"We have given up everything and followed you."
Jesus said, "Amen, I say to you,
there is no one who has given up house or brothers or sisters
or mother or father or children or lands
for my sake and for the sake of the Gospel
who will not receive a hundred times more now in this present age:
houses and brothers and sisters
and mothers and children and lands,
with persecutions, and eternal life in the age to come.
But many that are first will be last, and the last will be first."

Hallel and Immaculada are given now hundreds of little sisters and little brothers, and many places they can live - so far Hallel has lived in Rome, Marseille, Saint Pierre, France, and Kanas City.  The best part is they will receive "eternal LIFE in the age to come!"  That is the goal we all have while we journey in this world for the sake of our Lord and the sake of the Gospel!

On Trinity Sunday Pat and I drove to Aberdeen, SD for our granddaughter, Evangeline Mary's First Holy Communion.  Her Godfather is Fr Samson, and they were able to stay in the rectory which is open for this week between Focus Missionaries.
"The Body of Christ."  Amen  I am sure that Evie will be receiving Jesus in daily mass as her mom attends whenever possible with her homeschooled kids where they live.  They are moving to Fort Riley Kansas in a week!
"The Blood of Christ."  Amen
Friends and family that gathered around our Evie.  It was a glorious day indeed!
Bumpa with his Magdalene...
Major Joseph and Maria with their 7 children and Evie's Godfather.
Such a wonderful day - Fr talked about Evangelization in his homily and Evie heard her name sake - her patron Saint is St JPII, who promoted the new Evangelization.  Share the Gospel - open to LIFE and raising LIGHTS is the motto our Domestic Church/family live by.

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Our marriage stories - "The world needs LIGHTS!"

Major Joseph and Father were in seminary together, and the Lord had a different plan for Joseph - to be a husband and father to 7 children here and 2 in heaven.
Grandson, Augustine William, turned 13 on the 25th.  I love to see him wearing our beloved pork Chop shirt from Farm fest!  I think the Gus and cousin, Patrick, live in their shirts!
Fr Denny celebrated his 50 year anniversary of being a priest over the weekend.  The roses in front of the altar are from Rita's funeral the weekend before.  Her loss is very much felt and we are in shock to lose such a beautiful part of our lives here on the farm.

When we attended Fr Denny's party on Sunday - I got pretty choked up realizing that since our first TEC retreat 24 years ago how much his work with Together Encounter Christ has meant to Pat, I and our children and now our grandchildren!  Hugely important in our domestic Church/family's Faith journey!

Grandma photo shoot while all the rest of the family was busy putting 77 cow-calf pairs out on pasture.

Time the cemetery for Memorial Day... Rita would always do the flowers - missing her already.
Our 2 boys - William and Robert lost at 20 weeks after John.  We will be moving them to the foot of our grave or the infant loss section.
Nancy's 20 week loss in the infant loss section.  I prayed so hard that my girls would not have to lose as I did, but through this loss Nancy had a close encounter with our Spiritual Mother, Mary the Mother of God!
Evangeline and her Godfather - a priest that brings Jesus to us each day in the Eucharist!
4 of the crew of 9 that put 77 pairs out on pastures.  A big day!
Happy 13th birthday Gus!  The oldest to 5 younger siblings, and he is a good one!  Her sure loves his baby sister, Regina Maria - Queen Mary!
Joy and Tom and one of the 14 spring kittens they have
The cows and calves on pasture.  Such lush grass this spring with the wonderful rains we have been getting.
Treating the hard working farm family to Mexican food after a big day putting 77 pairs of cows and calves out on pasture.  Ending with fried ice cream!
Thanks to all the hard working farm kids!
Oldest sister, Therese made these special cupcakes for Evie's First Communion party with host sugar cookies.
They were yummy!
Jude and Birdie checking them out.
Gathering  in the kitchen to bless our food. in Aberdeen.
The Rectory where they stayed by Our Lady for LIFE!

Jesus and Mary how we love you and long to serve you without counting the cost.  It is such a blessing to be led deeper in our Faith by our children.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah
Bless-bless, Barb and family
Then you will know the truth,
and the truth will set you free. - John 8:32

"The Blessed Sacrament is God.
Devotion to the Blessed Sacrament
is simply divine worship.

Turn it which way we will,
throw the light of love and knowledge
now on one side of it, now on another,
still the result is the same,
the one inexhaustible sweet fact
of the Real Presence.

In the hands of the priest,
behind the crystal of the monstrance,
on the tongue of the communicant,
now, and for a thousand times,
and almost at our will and pleasure,
there are the Hands and Feet,
the Eyes and Mouth,
the swift Blood and living Heart of Him
whom
Thomas touched and Magdalen was fain to touch,
the Soul that ... set the prisoners free."
