A painting I painted 30 some years ago after I had lost my 5th - the second 20 week loss after I had John. I went in for my 5 month check up and there was no heartbeat!
I wanted to have them all touching me and to be in Heaven with them all around me. A couple years later I lost Mary at 14 weeks, so I added a photo of my granddaughter, Mary to represent her. Now some years later I recalled that I had 2 sacks in an ultrasound before I lost Joseph, so I now have added another twin boy, Paul. A total of 7 losses keeping my eyes on heaven!
Another painting that I found in Kansas City when I was visiting The Community of the Lamb - a Dominican order that my daughter, Susan/Little Sister Hallel, is a member. At first I thought that it was Isaiah 55:1, which my dad was reading when the Holy Spirit told him to come into The Catholic Church. Isaiah 55:1-2 - NIV - "Come, all you who are thirst... 55 1 "Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. 2 Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy?
No, it is from John 7:37, which is Jesus telling us that he is the Living Water!

The Psalm from today's mass is so true in expressing the Truth and wonder we experienced the two days we gathered together this weekend to share our stories!
Praise, you servants of the LORD,
praise the name of the LORD.
Blessed be the name of the LORD
both now and forever.
R. Blessed be the name of the Lord forever.
or:
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
From the rising to the setting of the sun
is the name of the LORD to be praised.
High above all nations is the LORD;
above the heavens is his glory.
R. Blessed be the name of the Lord forever. Psalm 113
This Psalm is especially wonderful for me as my father, Deacon Robert Cross, loved The Name of Jesus and would circle it everywhere it was found in his daily Prayer of The Church! This Psalm 113 would be so beautiful for him! My father was very important in my sharing as he brought our family of 13 into The Church and lived with me his last 6 months of his life on the farm.
Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Deacon Robert Cross - my dad on hospice in our Farm Monastery for 6 months - 4/16/20 thru 10/23/20 My page devoted to my father's time here in my Farm monastery.
Hubby Pat giving my dad The Eucharist on a day he wasn't up to going to mass with us.Brunch on the porch on the farm after mass Sunday with dad! The cows in the pasture as a backdrop... dad knew that this was our tradition, and was able to join us sharing our JOY after worshiping together and receiving Jesus' Body and Blood in the Eucharist. WE are filled with Thanksgiving! The 2 Barbaras - John's Birdie Barbara was born while dad lived with us! He loved to watch her grow in such a close and personal way! He attended Birdie's Baptism with a lot of our grandchildren - Nancy's, Ruth's and John's. He had baptized all our children!

One last time for the cows to be up around our barn. It is a special sight to see them, but now they are over by the farm out on corn stalks till the snow comes.
My father's prayer book the other day had this from my dad. I love to sit at his feet still as we share his Prayer of The Church left behind after being a Permanent Deacon for 44 years! What a beautiful prayer that says it all!! LOVE and miss you dad so much!
Hubby deep in thought and without a doubt PRAYER as he unloads the many loads of corn now. Lord, please keep our farmers safe! Jesus, we trust in you. Bless-bless, Barb and the 33
Hubby surprised me with some beautiful roses for my birthday! He had to get up at 6a to get them before he was needed to haul grain away from he combine. A true gift to have a birthday in the midst of such a busy time on the farm and he still managed to give me a loving gift! Thank you, sweet Most Cherished Cross, Pat!
