St Patrick and Mary/Therese is 17 - such a bright shining LIGHT!/St Joseph is huge in our family/"Hell is real" Pat's words after the Gospel -+JMJ+

3 year old Magdalene at Little Sisters of the Lamb while the big boys rake the grounds in preparation for Spring!
It looks like a beautiful day in KCK on Tuesday - the birthday of our Therese Librande.  The oldest of our military family was 17 on the 18th
A year ago in Fort Leavenworth... Wonderful Therese, who shares so much LIGHT in this world with her Newsletter - Letters from a young Catholic.  Her amazing watercoloring and just so many other ways she loves and serves.  She is an A1 babysitter including a baby with Downs!
Goofing around with her dad, Major Joseph a JAG officer in the Army!

That brings me to mention how big and important the Feast of St Joseph is in our family!  It was yesterday on the 19th and includes not only Major Joseph, but hubby farmer Patrick, who chose St Joseph as his Patron Saint.  Then there are Joe's 4 boys - David Joseph, Patrick Joseph, Romeo Joseph, and Hector Joseph!  Such a wonderful Saint to model yourselves after in this world - loving and serving and protecting Jesus, and Mary!

After Mass yesterday morning - I stopped by the altar for St Joseph and lifted up all my Josephs!
"Defend with unfailing protection, O Lord, we pray, the family you have nourished with food from the altar, as we rejoice at the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, and graciously keep safe your gifts among them..."
A picture worth a thousand words!
A precious picture of the quiet life of the Holy Family surrounded by water color by Therese!!  I can only imagine all those years!  33 years he spent with them!  I had John home with us for 29 years as we battled and won his cancer battle starting at age 20!  They were blessed years indeed!  Now his journey continues with wife, Bobbi, and 3 children!  A Miracle!!!
LOVE!!!

A new calf shelter - open and an electric wire keeps the cows out!

A picture of the new shelter from Cow TV.  "It is open and airy so that bugs don't build up in the more closed old shelters."  Farmer Pat
Traditional calf picture with John and family 2 years ago.
Twins some years back in the barn.
The old calf shelters...
The twins in the warming box some years ago.
Calf pictures are special no matter how many years ago!
We are on letter T this year!
Some letters they skip over, but that is still a big jump!

Riding with Pat in the tractor...

3 year old Gina cut her own bangs - now she and Maggie are twins!
Therese on her birthday is now 17!

Her newsletter - Letters from a Young Catholic - such a powerful witness of the young people that LOVE the Catholic Church !  LettersFromAYoungCatholic_MAR_APR_2025 (1).pdf
A surprise visit to Lumen Christi/LIGHT of Christ on the way to the airport with some friends that were visiting from Charlottesville, VA!
Sharing in prayer even though it is Lent!

John and Brad will both be 36 tomorrow as Brad celebrates his birthday!  They are 6 weeks apart and grew up sharing life on the farm.  Pat and Ed's only boys!

Grandpa Gerry always wore bibs on the farm!  Cute alert!
A surprise visit from my brother, Al!  He was down to pick up meat, so we shared lunch and catching up on each other's lives.  I am #1 of 11 and Al is #9 - we are 10 years apart!
Easter in 2017 - 8 years ago when we had just traded places.  John with his Godson, David.
The farm family in the Easter LIGHT of their new remodel of the farmhouse that Ruth grew up in!  They have added Joy and Tom!

We went across the road to pay our respects to Ruth's classmate, Mandy, who just lost her mother.  They were sharing about how they both now are living in the houses they grew up in.  Kind of special!
A decal that was on the front pictures window for years!  Until Ruth replaced the window!
Joy went along with brother, Luke, to visit Mandy - a teddy made from one of her dad's shirts.  Her dad died in a farm related accident a couple years ago now.
Today spring begins!
Special pictures taken by Mandy!
I used these on the card I made for Mandy - her pictures taken around her yard across the road from our farm!

4 year old Rose Again with the bunny cake on Easter 2017!

We are so ready for Spring!
Truly!
Love this from dad's man, Brother Victor, today!  "the eternal spring that we all await" with "the Spring Lamb who is at the center of the throne."

How we yearn not only for Spring, but most of all for "eternal spring"!  Pat came home from his hour of Adoration this morning commenting that the Gospel today - the rich man and Lazarus - one in heaven and the other in Hell - "It really shows you that Hell is for real!"

The rich man also died and was buried,
and from the netherworld, where he was in torment,
he raised his eyes and saw Abraham far off
and Lazarus at his side.
And he cried out, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me.
Send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue,
for I am suffering torment in these flames.'
Abraham replied, 'My child,
remember that you received what was good during your lifetime
while Lazarus likewise received what was bad;
but now he is comforted here, whereas you are tormented.  Luke 16

It really makes it all too real - how we are to love our neighbor as ourselves!  Our goal is heaven forever with Jesus, Mary, St Joseph and all the Saints!
Always around Mother's Day in a month!
It was wonderful to pray with my sister, Mary, on her birthday - St Patrick's Day which started on my first hour of Monday this week in Adoration... praying with John, who is the hour ahead of me.

We talked about Mary's death from lymphoma cancer when she was 28yo in 1986.  She would have been 67 this year!  She left behind a farmer husband, Gerry, and a 20 month old daughter, Audrey.

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Our marriage stories - "The world needs LIGHTS!"

So love sharing prayer with beautiful St Therese!  I pray that my sister, Mary, is in heaven forever with all the Saints!
Mass at the nursing home with my friend, Marie, on Monday - both in our green!  Sharing mass has added to our special time together.
Friend, Fr Denny, saying Mass at the nursing home on Monday in his TEC stole!  He is so special in our lives as he ran the TEC program for many years and we have been involved for 25 years now!
3 year old Tom on his bike from a neighbor.  He is growing up so fast!  He still loves his grandma!

Good job, buddy!
Therese on her 8th birthday in the habit that her mom sewed for her and her dolly, Anna!  The cross and rosary beads were made by her grandpa Dave!
T's younger sister, Evangeline, wearing it last year!
With all the Little Sisters
Aunt Hallel giving her some help with her veil!
"Pull your hair back..."
So special - she just loved being able to join them!
Saying her Rosary or swinging it?
Precious!
Grandma loves to wear little sister Blue too!
Can't get enough!
Big sister helping now 8 years later, and in 5 years it will fit Magdalene, too!  LOVE!  It would be so fun to have her cousin, Regina try it on too!  Grandma with fake plans and dreams!
My mother, Nancy Cross, in her favorite spot in Michigan on the beach!  A picture of her in heaven as we miss her now 5 years from the Anniversary of her passing in a day after a fall in the morning - March 16th, 2020.  LOVE and miss you mom each and every day!
Silly Tom here on Tuesday with his VCC shirt!
Time with my dad in his Assisted living the day after mom's passing.  He then came to live with me in my "Farm Monastery" a month later for the last 6 months of his life!

Jesus, how I love and adore you with each breath that I take and every beat of my heart!  May I die to self so that I may love and serve without counting the cost.  Jesus I trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara and the 33 here and 13 in heaven.
