The 5th Anniversary of mom's death/Jesus is our Light - Transfigured - He appeared in GLORY! "This is my chosen Son; listen to him." - +JMJ+

5 years ago I shared this encounter Jude had with his first baby calf at just a couple weeks away from turning one.  He will be 6 on the 26th!  I did not have any idea when I took this that my mom would fall the next morning and be dead by 5p after breaking her hip in the Assisted Living - the Lodge of New Hope.
St Mother Teresa of Calcutta - she got this from her Patron Saint - St Therese!
The two Barbaras in their flashy pants after the fish fry!  Birdie Barbara is my one and only namesake other than some Lukes - my Confirmation Saint - Barbara Luke Lynn!
Woke up to a blizzard on top of ice!  The sun is out now and we have fake plans to go to the Cities for a Fundraiser for St Max School in Delano!

The 3 farm girls after Mass a week ago - the first Sunday of Lent!
Mary will be 19 next month, Rose will be 13 on May 1st and Joy will be 8 on the 31st of this month.  Joy will be having her first Communion on May 4th.  A big day for her and the beginning of a closer walk with Jesus as he dwells in her richly!

I thought this Easter fruit pizza was super beautiful and yummy!  I might have to try to make it!
St Patrick's Day some years back in my green.  It is a very special day for me as it is the birthday of my dear sister, Mary.  She died in 1986 at the age of 28 from cancer.  She left behind her farmer, Gerry, and a 20 month old daughter, Audrey.  Yes, 2 city girls married farmers!

Ice and snow overnight on the Cow TV camera - just before the power went off for a couple hours.
Every Sunday we attended Mass together as a family - even with a newborn that is days old!  We continue to share Mass each week with our farm family and John's family.  We also know that our other children and their families are attending mass where they are, too!

Maria and Major Joseph with their 7 children in Fort Riley, KS, and our nun and her Community of the Lamb in KCK, and Nancy and Bill with their 6 kids in Delano at St Maximilian Kolbe!

At the auction - we managed to get the Mexican pool party in their in ground pool!
I am wearing a bracelet that my dad got for me years ago.  It reminds me of my sister, Mary, whose birthday is on St Patrick's day.  She died in 1986 at the age of 28 - she would be 67 tomorrow!  She is Nancy's Godmother, and Nancy looks a lot like her.
Nancy last night in a necklace that she "borrowed from me" some years ago.
Nancy's 2 oldest - Gus, who is now 13 and Bernadette, who was just 12 in November.
They were very wonderful waitress staff last night.  Thank you!

So much beauty all around you in the St Peter's in Rome!

Today the Gospel for the 2nd Sunday of Lent is the Transfiguration from Luke

Gospel Luke 9:28b-36

Jesus took Peter, John, and James
and went up the mountain to pray.
While he was praying his face changed in appearance
and his clothing became dazzling white.
And behold, two men were conversing with him, Moses and Elijah,
who appeared in glory and spoke of his exodus

that he was going to accomplish in Jerusalem.

When I see the great beauty that we are given in our Catholic Church - it shows to me the Glory of the Lord!  We are taken heavenward in our hearts,, minds and souls!

Dave in his wonderful "Home".  "You come to my home!"  he loves to remind his cousins after our shopping for our feast after sharing Mass as a family!
Shopping for our wonderful brunch with Joy and 3 little ones!
Cow TV on while we gather - we now have 97 calves and are over half way to being done!
ALDI has double seats for 2 littles and we fill them up with 3 year old Tom and 2 year old Lucy.
Workers busy with the fruit, and doughnuts and the eggs.
"Grandpa lets go shop!"
Off we go!  Like herding cats!
"Ready to go shopping Lucy?"  "Yes!!!"
"Hey!, break it up you guys!"
Pat was the Eucharistic Minister and gave Jesus to his grandkids!  Mary is home on break from the U of M, but will be returning today.  It sure was great to have her at home for the week!

She commented on how open the prairie is.  "You can see everywhere!  Unlike the City with buildings and trees."
Blessing Tom and Joy... Joy is just a few weeks away from being able to receive Jesus in his Body and Blood.  Yes, the cup of his blood is returning for us!  So excited!
Joy with her beautiful red hair curled for Mass.  She is such a kind and sweet girl!  She helps us when we go shopping by buckling up the other kids, and we both say that if Joy didn't help us we might not want to do all that it takes to bring the youngest of our grands shopping with us.

Our 2 redheads - Romeo and Joy Jean
Mary's graduation picture - she is now in the midst of her first year at college!
The 3 cousins in a year will soon all be 8, and Joy will be the last one to receive her Holy Communion!
At a talk I gave in the last year - "Life is a gift!"  I asked many there to be my family - all 12 kids whether the 5 here or the 7 in heaven!  How I love to "see with the eyes of my heart" ALL of my family!
The 3 little boys in 6 weeks!  Jude will join the other two at 6 years old on March 26.  Best cousin friends to grow up together!
Today is the Anniversary of my mother's death in a day - she fell and broke her hip as she came out for breakfast, and was dead by 5p.  A month later dad came to live with me for the last 6 months of his life in my "Farm Monastery."

Family Soul Story - Choose Life!: Deacon Robert Cross - my dad on hospice in our Farm Monastery for 6 months - 4/16/20 thru 10/23/20
My parents in their home in St Croix Falls, WI where they lived for 11 years.  This was the last year due to my mom's increasing dementia and no longer making meals.
My mother, I and lilacs!  Love and miss you so much my wonderful mother!
Mom two weeks before she died - she was so good this day, and how I cherish this wonderful picture of her!
With my mother dying on the 16th we were comforted that she would be united with Mary.  Mary's birthday is tomorrow, St Patrick's Day so it just seemed such a special connection for us!
My patents in St Michaels Church in Stillwater which they loved!
Full moon and our beautiful Church spire of Holy Redeemer Church!

Then from the cloud came a voice that said,
“This is my chosen Son; listen to him.”  Luke 9 from the Gospel today reminds us to calm some of the noise out of our lives so that we may listen to HIM!  Tonight I will have my hour of Adoration where I put each one from our 2 families in the Monstrance with Jesus - over 250+.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb and the 33 plus 13 in heaven keeping our eyes on our goal - heaven forever with Jesus, Mary, the Saints and all our loved ones including mom and dad!
Danny Gokey - all you need is Jesus
Matt Maher - the Lord's Prayer
