Expecting company - the many finger and handprints on the window are washed off, and today there are already fresh ones after oatmeal for breakfast... two little ones trapped inside for all these long winter monthes... finally the thaw is coming we hope and pray!
Our special company is my wonderful "daughter" the rosary girl - Liz! She has made beautiful rosaries for Joseph - how proud and happy and supportive she is of the men in the ... his rosary is named "certainty" and for never having met Joseph and his black and white approach to life... we all feel that the Holy Spirit gave it the perfect name for him! Maria's name is Lectio and with her prayerful life and love of Latin- once again an amazing fit! Therese's is pink! And so wonderful and Therese truly looks at it with wonder and delight! 
David looks at the beautiful crucifix on his and says, "Jesus." They are all deeply touched by this deeply spiritual and generous gift that Liz toiled over with love and certainly prayed over! Her daily joyful and loving recitation of her rosary prayer to our Lady to intercede to her son - the son that sat on her lap and "ate her chin out of love for her!" How can he not listen to her pleas on our behalf?
Then we head out to the barn for some lessons about animals and LIFE! The cow that had just days before had a C section to get her calf here... is there with her calf... she is not too sure of a circle of girls petting her calf, so Pat is there to reassure her... the girls discover that the calf is soft and cute!
Another calf comes into the barn with the help of big strong farmer Pat! HE loves to share with anyone his love for the farm and for animals and he is very wise and full of lots of knowledge! Daughter Liz is a very interested and willing pupil! 
"I have never actually seen that!" says the 7 year old Zoey... They get to watch a calf nurse on a cow. Lots of lessons all around you! Therese is excited to go out and see Snowball and Anna and show the girls the bigger animals! 
A pose by the gate... How we love to have our "family" come to share our lives with! Through their eyes - our life is very good! Thank you Jesus! 
Very close to Snowball... It was a wonderful morning with our wonderful "family." Today we are reminded of the Word in our midst - the Gospels - which are the words of Christ to us! The path to eternal life and happiness are laid out before us! Jesus, we trust in you! 
Jesus, we love you and serve you with our lives... thank you for giving us the prayer that you taught us! May we say it often with deep reverence and thought behind each word... and may we forgive those that trespass against us! Jesus, we love you and need you and worship you to the highest heavens! Yes, we got to have a tour of the Church last night after mass!
