The next April snowstorm

School was called off at 11a and now it is 2 hours late tomorrow morning.  Pat has noticed these signs of spring - fat colorful robins - dead in the snowdrifts, after we got that 16 inches last week.  Before that we had traveled to pick up Maria in Texas and Hallel in Kansas City, and now since that last storm we have returned Hallel to her Community in Kansas City, and Maria arrived home to El Paso with the help of her father-in-law.  They put in two days and got there at 12N yesterday - so good to be home!  There is such a feeling of accomplishment and trust that we were able to spend all those days safely on the road in the midst of the storms coming and going.  The worst weather was a horrific dust storm wind through New Mexico that actually turned into freezing rain the coldest temps anywhere!  Kind of crazy and thank the Good Lord, we made it all safely and all are back in their own beds and happy to be there after the most primo of Family time we could have ever imagined!  The challanging weather just makes it all that much more powerful - we did it!  The hard part was all the time that Pat had to be outside working and missing the gathering and sharing of the huge bubble of LOVE called our family!  I will add that it is also the epitome of LIFE with 9 little ones playing, crying, crawling, running, eating, spitting up, smiling, crying, laughing, interacting with tractors and swords made out of anything that looks like a weapon, going around and around the circle, chasing, talking, sitting on laps, posing for pictures if grandma is fast enough to catch them before they move, reconnecting and discovering the joys and trails of being a faithbased Family, but most of all praying and sharing before meal prayers, morning and evening prayers, mass all days but one for the days Hallel was here!  I think that gives you a look into Ruth and Paul's house for a day of our time together.  The making of the huge meals just evolved and the clean up was a shared and varying job.  Many hands make light work!  Sharing our faith brings great happiness and peace in the midst of this big picture of LIFE, LOVE and LIGHT!  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Bless-bless, Barb
The three newest members show LIFE, LOVE, and LIGHT in a photo... Patrick 6 months, Rose 11months, Bernadette 5 months...  LIFE is the best gift of all!
