This between winter and springtime

Some spring like pictures in this in between place we find ourselves.  We are hope filled to know that the snow is turning into puddles that reflect so beautifully even in a cow yard!  We are heading south tomorrow on our wild ride called gathering family - all 5 of our kids to the farm!
My little bottle calf, Red.  He is with his mother, but she doesn't give enough milk so we feed him a bottle in the morning.  He followed me out of the yard this morning.   I will feed him tomorrow and then we will be getting on the road.  I have a feeling that some grandkids will make Red love them too!  I go out into the huge yard filled with probably 80 cows with their calves and call his name and he comes right up to me, and drinks down his bottle in a matter of minutes!

Here is a hopeful sign.  Heading South should bring on the spring much faster.  El Paso will be hot I am sure.  Then turn around with daugther and grandchildren in tow and pick up our Little Sister Hallel!  What JOY!  Thank you Lord for the promise of Sring and the sunshine and warmth and growth of new life in plants, vegetables and fruit.  LIFE abounds with the warmth and life-giving rains!  Jesus, be with us as we travel and bless us with safety and wonderful Family times ahead.  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Bless-bless, Barb
