Thursday of the Octave of Easter/Jesus in our midst in Word and Body and Blood! Hallelujah!!!!

Love this so much... it was a goal of mine to get an Easter picture on the farm as Joy had just turned 1 the day before and Ruth always does such a wonderful job having a theme for a coordinated family picture.  LOVE!  She did not disappoint this year with her blue/pink theme!  Thanks Ruth and family for giving me this most precious gift!

The excitement and JOY of Easter continues now with Thursday of the Octave of Easter and the glorious Gospel reminding us of the Truth of we, the Easter People...
"Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures."  Luke 24
Maria and Joseph before the Vigil in their Easter finery!!!  I will be placing this on my wall today, and taking down the picture from Easter in KC last year.  Evangeline has changed a lot now as she is now 17 month old and not a 5 month old!  She looks so much like her mommy here, and her big sister, Therese!!!
Therese at one... Love this so much!!
Spring 9 years ago!!!  So precious!  I call Therese the little girl from Les Miserables!
O my!!!!  My heart is so full!!

Nancy just called and we are only days away from having her 4 with us for the week.  She informed me that she got all the kids rubber boots for their time on the farm.  The pictures are forming in my mind and heart... please snow go away!!!  Spring we need you to come and help us warm up the baby calves.  We are well on our way to 150 calves born now!
Big Dave and Therese are just 4 months apart, and best friends.  They will share time together when John's wedding is here in 2 months!!!  I have the hugest smile on my face and in my heart after finding these gems!!!
Almost complete!!!  My heart was full of so much happiness knowing that our family was all together sharing The EASTER Body and Blood of The Eucharist and readings from The Word/Jesus is risen indeed!!!

"Those who are called to recognize the risen Jesus
do so by following the same two-pronged path:
by the sacrament of Jesus' Body and that of His Word,
touching Jesus' Body and understanding the Scriptures.

These two sacraments, in a mysterious way,
contain the risen One and at the same time in every Eucharist
make Him present to all who believe.

This picture is out of wraps!!!   It has been sent out far and wide on the invites, so I an free to use it here to make my Easter pictures complete with all of my 5 and their families!!!  I am famous for adding those that are missing from family pictures, but this Easter I am just happy to see my family happy and sharing family Easter JOY!

John is one that loves he stage and comedy, and I see that Bobbi loves to humbly make fun a big part of their image to the world around them.  So fitting for the Easter people that John and Bobbi both are in their strong faithfilled love for Jesus and His Bride, The Church!  Their JOY is contagious!

Love this of my husband farmer taken 7 years ago... we still have this calving barn and his care of our 170+ calves to be born in this challenging spring weather... Such a perfect picture of him in The LIGHT and looking over his animals!!!

How could we ever believe if Jesus Himself
did not take the initiative to make it happen?
How would we recognize Jesus
in the sacrament of His Body and Blood
if He Himself did not invite us to do this and if He did not tenderly
wound our heart at the moment we receive Him?
How would we find the risen One in His Word
if He Himself did not open our mind and set our heart on fire
every time He spoke to us through Scriptures

In our own heart, which leaps up with joy,
we recognize Jesus, the Jesus Who is risen
and still liveseven in our midst."

Wound care nurse Ruth 7 years ago... caring for a calf with wounds on it's front legs... Ruth is now home full time with her 6 children and working side by side with her dad!  She is truly a compassionate hardworking and wise caring farmer...   It is s gift to have her love of the farm and the life she grew up with now lived out by Ruth and her wonderful farm family!  How we rejoice in this plan for the farm to continue in a wonderful way!  Thank you, Lord!

Yes, as Dom Louf wrote so eloquently... my heart is truly set afire by the Word coming to me each day in the readings of The Church read all throughout the world!  Meditated upon in Monastery, Convent, every Catholic Church worldwide, preached on, and The Holy Spirit at work in the world through Jesus in His Word!  Then He comes into us in The Body and Blood/Sacrifice on the altar... "tenderly wound our heart at the moment we receive him."  We share in His suffering/carry/drag our Most Cherished Cross!

Our family circle has gotten more complete, and to witness the love and happiness of these two after their years of waiting and asking for the Lord to show them His Plan... yes, we are truly "incredulous with joy" along with all those that awaited Jesus after watching him suffer on the Cross and die!  The Truth has been revealed and we are shouting from the rooftops - Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!!!

You might see this every day of the Easter Octave and beyond... as I love it so much and how it means that Hallel could share in the Family Easter here in the U.S. with our KC bunch... Nancy and her family!

Nancy just added to my Easter Joy by sharing with me that I can buy Hallel's Wedding Sandals, which they just picked out on line!  Nancy also described how they went shopping at Cabella's with 2 other little sisters for hours as they found the perfect walking sandals..."It is such a fun place with a mountain with stuffed animals, a river with fish, lots to see for the kids while they shopped for the perfect shoes!  "Hallel only found one pair for everyday, but we went on line to find her the ones she will keep special for her wedding day.  It was so fun to go there today and see them on her already and to get something that she will use every day!"

Jesus, I am overwhelmed by your LOVE and your Way, your Truth and your LIFE which pours all over and around me!  I am filled with incredulous JOY at the sight of you at work in my life and in my domestic Church/family and how we are given a small slice of heaven to dwell in!  Jesus, may I follow after you and share without holding back.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Hallelujah

This might seem like a silly picture to most... but to me it represents how Susan/Hallel can have a taste of home while here for this year!   Sweet corn freezing is one of those huge family job days that we share in the kitchen!  Ruth added a huge new canning kitchen on the farm for those days throughout the summer and the fall!  We love to work together to make wonderful food for 6 families!  We are truly blessed and our JOY is huge and without end!  Bless-bless, Barbara Mary Luke

July 29th, 2016 - sweet corn with 4 year old Rose Ida, in the new farm sink at the farm!  Gold!!!

May we go forward sharing The Good News/the Truth that will set us free!!!
