The Church is wise and wonderful!/Palm Sunday/The stones will cry out!/Obedient to death on the cross

Special family time sharing the rosary with sweet 2 1/2 week old grandson, Jude, surrounded by two grandmas and a grandpa and mom and dad!

Jude is so peaceful and calm and appears to agree with dad as he expressed his joy at how Bobbi and John share their faith with Catholic families on both sides!  "This is so wonderful... two Catholic families united through our marriage with the comfort of sharing the rosary and the chaplet of Divine Mercy!" beamed John.  Yes, such a blessing when we are united in prayer!
Sharing Palm Sunday with our farm family!  Rose and Luke welcoming Jesus coming into Jerusalem with the Palms!

"Dear young people, do not be ashamed to show your
enthusiasm for Jesus, to shout out that he is alive and
that he is your life.  Yet at the same time, do not be afraid
to follow him on the way of the cross..."
- Pope Francis,  quote Palm Sunday homily 2019

Adveniat regnum tuum.
Thy Kingdom come.
Joy with her Palm sharing in the beginning of Holy Week!  Father Mark preached about what all we will experience with our Lord over the last week.

Of interest he shared Holy Thursday was the institution of the Eucharist and the Priesthood as they are responsible for keeping Jesus alive in His Body and Blood in the Church for us each day.  Then he shared that Good Friday was the only day in the entire year that there was no mass just a Communion service where the consecrated body was brought forth out of the tabernacle.  He shared about the LIGHT entering the darkness at the Easter Vigil.  It was so great to hear step by step how we are blessed with following Jesus to his death and resurrection!

Most of all I was so thrilled and filled with wonder and awe to see once again how the Church is wise and wonderful!  Much the same feeling that filled me when I was walking up to be confirmed at a huge adult confirmation behind my parents and siblings at The Cathedral in St Paul when I was 20..."The Catholic Church has it all figured out.  It is all here and so glorious and beautiful!  It is truly The Church of my Lord begun with St Peter!"
Sweet Joy!  There is nothing better than sharing mass and our Faith in The Church!  Lots of time spent in church for this Holy Week!  And then much excitement building at the occasion of sharing the Easter Vigil as our newest grandson, Jude, will be baptized during and our KC family will be here to share with us... 20 of our 29 together for Easter JOY and celebrating!

The quiet of alone stranded by the snow storm will be a long lost memory as our house will be full!
The three on the altar today!

How I beamed listening to 5 year old Luke behind us singing and responding loudly in song as his dad would give him the lines and words to sing!  Then during the creed to hear the happiness shared at "rose again."  And again when we said; "I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof..."
I recalled how Rose again asked where her mom's name was in the mass..."Oh, I know mom, when we say; "enter under my ruth!"  Why so many smiles?  There is nothing more wonderful than sharing our Faith with JOY!  The peace and comfort shared when it is a happy familiar place where we worship together.  So many prayers that it will go deep and become their personal beliefs and Truths always on this journey of LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT!
Jude in the arms of Faith/Family/Farm... all 3 shared on both sides as Dale and Lila raise sheep.  Nothing better and he is less than a week away from coming into The Church - washed clean and given the grace to follow Our Lord for the rest of his days!

At the procession with palms!  Luke 19
"the whole multitude of his disciples
began to praise God aloud with joy
for all the mighty deeds they had seen.
They proclaimed:
"Blessed is the king who comes
in the name of the Lord.
Peace in heaven
and glory in the highest."
Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him,
"Teacher, rebuke your disciples."
He said in reply,
"I tell you, if they keep silent,
the stones will cry out!"
This begins Holy Week and now we proceed to Holy Thursday, Good Friday Easter Vigil, and Easter!
So wise and wonderful as we follow our Savior!
"he humbled himself,
becoming obedient to the point of death,
even death on a cross."
Philippians 2

"...at the name of Jesus
every knee should bend,
of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father."
Oh, Lord, how we pray that our extended family may embrace your Truth!  So many that know you not and are sadly not experiencing your glory and might and honor as we humbly love and serve you without counting the cost!
Showing reverence and respect!

Lord, how we love to share our faith with our family.  It is the glue that holds us together and allows us to experience a small slice of heaven here on earth!  We are lifted up and given hope and peace at times of challenge as we unite in prayer and trust!  Jesus, we thank and praise you for the wisdom, truth and direction we are given through your Holy Church!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen
My Easter tree is up and awaiting the leaves and blossoms of new life with the white snow once again outside!  The cross from last year... so much has happened to celebrate this year... John and Bobbi's marriage and new son...
The butterfly from 2 years ago... Easter in KC with Hallel, but this year we will be here for the Vigil and the baptism of Jude... my butterfly this year in my mind and heart will be the final vows of Hallel in France as the centerpiece... as I recall so much to celebrate with this Easter Tree!!
Last years heart... the 7 in heaven of our children, with the 4 grandchildren... already outdated as there is one more... Nancy lost Catherine a little over a year ago, but now her arms are filled with their sweet George!

Easter JOY and a nutty grandma with her ways of seeing them together to the extreme!  Bless-bless, Barb and family united in Faith/Family/Farm!
Such a wonderful boy growing surrounded by so much love and peace and JOY... the picture of gentleness and kindness and goodness which are 3 other fruits of the Holy Spirit!
