"Mom , I love you and want to be held close to your heart beating with love for me."
"I love your face mom and how you care for my every need, and prayed for me from the moment that you knew the Lord had put me in your womb. I am in truth a new life that has been given to my family as we now go forth down the narrow path carrying our Most Cherished Cross. "
As your Uncle Captain Joseph said; "A powerful name:Thomas. May he always listen to the words of his Apostolic predecessor: "Doubt no longer, but believe."
"Grandma didn't quite get the smile I just had, but I do love to look at my beautiful mom! Thanks mom for LIFE!"Ruth pointed out that he is getting that double chin of health that we love to see on our babies that love to nurse on their moms and grow healthy and happy. How they love to be close to their wonderful mothers and eat their chins out of LOVE!Icon of Mother Mary with Jesus kissing/eating her chin out of love for her. Ruth and Mary 15 years ago - I have witnessed this close loving bond over and over with my grandchildren for their wonderful mothers! We expect our 22nd grandchild in less than a week! So much LOVE as our love grows with the addition of each new life!Tomorrow is the 3rd Sunday of Advent - Gaudete/Rejoice Sunday! It also is the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe! I sat close to her yesterday while I prayed with 7 Sisters for Fr Denny as the snow came down outside. I was drawn to the beautiful only plant in the entire place - a Christmas cactus there for Our Lady!
She wears a black tie around her indicating that she is with child - Jesus dwells in her womb! There is no wonder that not only is she the patroness of The Americas, but also the Patroness of LIFE!
The LIGHT of the Advent wreath and the symbol for LIFE of Our Lady and the humble beautiful plant there to honor her. Tomorrow there will be a glorious shrine for her with many roses. And I try to get our Rose there year after year! A Rose for Mary!
While I was praying for Fr Denny- he appeared! He was here to get Jesus from the tabernacle, and when he opened it and the gold gleamed forth I recalled how I miss seeing that while I pray and wondered why there is that curtain blocking our view of the gleaming golden tabernacle where Jesus is!?!
Why veil the Tabernacle? The immediate and short answer is because the tabernacle in desert had veils and because there was a veil shielding the Holy of Holies in the Jerusalem Temple. The fact that this Temple veil was torn in two does not mean that we should abandon the use of veils and curtains. That would be simplistic, not to say childish, interpretation of that tremendous event.
In Catholic understanding, the purpose of the veil is not to hide something, but to disclose something. When we veil the tabernacle we are saying something about its contents. Usually, the veils we use are actually curtains. This can be taken to express the fact that the Temple curtain was torn in two; access to God is granted through the death of Jesus Christ. However, we cannot see the face of God and we cannot see the Risen glory of Christ. We “see” Christ and receive the Christian mysteries in faith, and the veil represents our faith as well as speaking of the mysteries that we cannot see clearly in this life. These Mysteries are so great, so wonderful, so beyond our comprehension and our ability to focus, that we veil them to remind us of their magnificence and holiness.
I looked it up under St Magdalen de Pazzi Catholic Church and now have a better understanding...The Tabernacle Veil - St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church (stmagdalen.org)
Jesus! I adore you!!!Fr Denny reminded me that he has 5 of my empty canning jars, making me smile. We can for 7 families and a priest!
On Gaudete Sunday - December 11, 2016 Pat's mother died after 2 years on hospice in her home. So peaceful and beautiful with Maria's family. Maria has added Hector (named after Hector Louwagie - Pat's mother's father) and Magdalene Rose since!A Rose for Our Lady of Guadalupe 5 years ago ... the roses haven't appeared yet, but there will be hundreds!
like a fire there appeared the prophet Elijah
whose words were as a flaming furnace... Sirach 48:1
but I tell you that Elijah has already come,
and they did not recognize him but did to him whatever they pleased.
So also will the Son of Man suffer at their hands.”
Then the disciples understood
that he was speaking to them of John the Baptist. Matthew 17 - the Gospel preached upon all over the world today - that's power and glory to our LORD!
Light the pink candle and rejoice!
Brother Victor and Deacon dad takes us deep today! "He wishes to speak with us in the intimacy of our hearts."

St Paul brings us The Word of Truth!
Pat and John at the Vikings game with Bill and the boys. Bill is from around Pittsburg so I guess you get the picture of a family divided.
Snow day yesterday and bright sun today! My ornament for my 20 week loss, Robert on the tree.
Before him when John was still a baby - I lost 20 week in the womb, William. He and John would have been just 13 months apart. Both William and Robert are buried at the cemetery just a short distance from Nancy's 20 week loss, Maximilian. How I prayed that my girls would not have to suffer loss as I did...
Beautiful sight to behold today. More work for the farmers getting all the animals dry and fed.
The reason for the season. In a week we will be at my family Christmas - CCC - Cross Christmas Camp 2021 here we come! The day before Nancy is due to have her new daughter. We will be bringing her other 5 to camp! It has been 13 years since I brought kids to camp, and 20 years since I brought my 5 little ones to camp.
Cold and beautiful! The kitten knocked over the Christmas tree for the second time this morning, so he is out cooling his toes and learning a lesson - I really doubt it to be honest!
Bobbi making cookies with her 2 littles! I bet some ended up in their mouths - nothing quite as good as sugar cookie dough!
