Lucy's Baptism/Back from encountering Christ's "reckless love"!/Receive a child in my name - +JMJ+

Newly Baptized Lucy Marie at the 5p mass on Saturday night with Fr Shawn and her beautiful family!  It was such a beautiful Sacrament celebrated with a packed Church of 350 people!
Welcome into our glorious wonderful amazing Catholic Church sweet 5 week old Lucy Marie!  I love to see Jesus over their shoulder in the tabernacle and also knowing that Jesus has just entered us in the Holy Body of Christ and in his wonderful Word of God!
Newly Baptized Lucy - Hundreds of people streamed up to receive the Eucharist and gazed on our newest member and smelled the Chrism on her head as they passed by with smiles of greeting for her in her dad's arms in the front pew.

Welcome sweet Lucy Marie - you have been washed clean... here is an explanation of Baptism - It is a sacrament of initiation (which you can only receive one time), meaning once you received it, you officially enter into the body of Christ, the Catholic Church. The recipient receives justifying and sanctifying grace when baptized, and the Holy Spirit begins to dwell within them.

On the screen in front of church - Father welcoming Lucy into The Church in the back and then they processed up to the front.  Two grandchildren - Ruth's Rose and David served as altar servers which made it more special!

Gathered around the Baptismal font
"I baptize you in the name of The Father, and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit."
Amen!  And she slept through the entire water pouring on her head.  Cousins David and Rose were there to look on and support their new baby cousin, and big brother, Jude , holding his dad's hand and watching...

Pat and I were so impressed with the wonderful complete Baptism Father did for our 23rd grandchild to enter The Church!  All the beautiful words of blessing over the waters, and moving from one place on the altar to another... we were so blessed by it all!  It seemed that the Church gathered around us were equally moved as when it came time for the renewal of our Baptismal promises the entire church seemed to roar their response of "I do!"  Do you reject Satan and all his empty promises?  "I DO!!!!"

Peaceful new soul washed clean and now with the heart of Jesus and her beaming parents!

Pat and I were in the middle of a TEC retreat and had to leave to share in this most glorious occasion with our newest grandchild!  At the same time we were in Marshall and traveling and celebrating Lucy we are in the prayers of our fellow TEC family!  They were in the midst of renewing their Baptismal vows in the service that night!

Peaceful with her new inner light aglow!
John and his sweet girl!  I have to say that the day that Lucy was born 5 weeks earlier the Gospel had been 4 friends lowering The Paralytic down in front of Jesus through the roof!  This was huge for John's battle against brain cancer 14 years ago!  I turned to Pat and said; "The paralytic just had his 3rd child!"  Ponder that a bit!!!
The look of LOVE and of peace!  Pat and I pondered how the paralytic could have gone forth healed and carrying his mat, and met his wife down the path and had a family, too!  It brings The Gospel to LIFE!!!  How I love that and love The Church that in so many ways entered into John's miraculous healing and finding his Faith and LOVE of The Church through that battle!

John's Spirit Juice video that shares his story - which now continues with wife and 3 gifts from God - children!
The Gospel today speaks of what a blessing we receive with children!  Then he sat down, called the Twelve, and said to them,
"If anyone wishes to be first,
he shall be the last of all and the servant of all."
Taking a child, he placed it in their midst,
and putting his arms around it, he said to them,
"Whoever receives one child such as this in my name, receives me;
and whoever receives me,
receives not me but the One who sent me."  Mark 9:30-37
A gift from Hallel's Community of the Lamb early in our battle!  So true as their prayers surrounded us as well as hundreds of our TEC family and Church family!  A girl in our Confirmation class a few years later exclaimed; "I prayed for John and now he's healed!  Prayer works and are answered!  John helped not only his own faith journey but that of so many others!

Mass on Saturday morning in the beautiful chapel in Holy Trinity High School in New Ulm!  Father Denny doing his Morning Prayer of The Church on his cell phone - iBreviary.  I love this!  I pray for Fr Denny each Friday with 7 Sisters and I join him in Office of Readings and Morning Prayer of The Church on my phone!
Praying before mass...
I was amazed to see this in the chapel!!!!!  I had to get closer to it and when I saw that it was a skull cap worn by St JPII I wept tears of JOY!
This man - now Saint, was my total hero for the first 27 years of our marriage!  Married in August of 1978 he became pope in October 1978!  He allowed us to embrace LIFE to the fullest -- open to LIFE and raising LIGHTS!  He was a champion for marriage and family!  I felt that there were probably huge conversions as the world watched his funeral mass which showcased the glorious beauty of True Catholic Church !

St John Paul II funeral mass!
Christopher West - speaks about St JPII's Theology of the Body!

Rise Day morning prayer service with so many glorious Saints!  I also had a talk, Church, people of God, and I was able to share some of the Saints that are with me on this journey of Faith/Family/Farm!  St Luke, St JPII, St Therese, St Lucy, St Bernadette - really All the Saints bless me with each new day!  I love to know the saint for that day and am taught by them that no matter what we face we are not alone and can persevere!

I ended my talk with this uplifting song of Truth written by and sung by Danielle Rose!  She is a Catholic Song Missionary!  She has written a song for every decade of the Rosary - all 20!  And many more songs about The Church, Mary and Jesus and The Saints!  As well as Gospel - "If I touch him" about the woman with the bleeding for 12 years and the paralytic!

Fr Denny celebrated his 75th birthday with us! We are so blessed by this wonderful priest!  He was the TEC coordinator for 37 years!  And so many have been blessed by a closer walk with Jesus and His Church!  We were especially blessed this weekend to have 2 priests!  Fr Nathan Hanson was our Assistant Spiritual Director.  So powerful to see 2 priests - one serving the other at mass!  Priests bring us The Bread of LIFE - Jesus!!!
Server Rose Again with her newly baptized baby cousin, Lucy Marie at her party afterwards with the soft bunny pillow gift from her!
This is how my morning began after such a weekend!  Back to family and farm life with Pat taking a cow about half an hour away to be butchered.  "She was a pet fair calf that the kids used to ride.  She showed up "open"/ without a calf, and so she must go."  Kind of hard and sad!  Tom came along and then spent the morning with grandma while mom was at her Quad group.
"Tom smiled so big when you came out the door!"  Grandpa exclaimed.  I am humbled by this LOVE this little guy has for her old grandma!!
Check us out on line!  Such a beautiful time spent getting closer to Jesus!

A day brightener while my heart, mind, and soul are singing for JOY!
The biggest smile!!!
The mountain of clothes to fold after we return from 3 1/2 days!  Home is wonderful, but we were so blessed!  How I loved to share it with my hubby and oldest grandson, Simon!  Nothing better!

Jesus, I am overwhelmed by your never-ending, reckless love! You left the 99 to come and find me!!! "There's no shadow you won't lift up.  Mountain you won't climb up... coming after me!  There's no wall you won't kick down.  Lie you won't tear down... coming after me!"  I long to die to self so that you may dwell in me and use me as your hands and feet and voice!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara and the 34 plus my TEC family and Family of the Lamb!  Family can never be too many!
Reckless love - Will Morrison

"We live in such a noisy world that many of us
have come to be afraid of silence.
We think that only if we do a great deal,
it does not much matter what we are."
Mother Mary Francis, PCC

"Let us look deeply into the liturgy,
and let us pray for one another,
that at the end of this Lent we may be
more beautiful to one another,
more responsible for goodness that is in us,
more appreciative of  what is possible
for us to be in God's sight."

Mother Mary Francis, PCC
