"Dear last place" - Can a mother be without tenderness for the child in her womb?/Tom and winter kitten Snowball with eyes open - +JMJ+

Sweet 16 month old Thomas Robert with one of the winter kittens - they are now 12 days and so their eyes are open to take in the new world around them.  Tom reaches in and grabs them and grandma had great fun with him on the couch with Snowball on his special blanket on his shoulder.  I took 30 pictures in a short time as they were both so loving and sweet!
Oh my!  So much fun to be a little boy with a basket of baby kittens!
A soft kiss
Nuzzle - I predict that Tom will love kitties just as his mommy  and other siblings.  Big sister Joy is happiest when there are new baby kitties in the house.
Ruth and I were giggling at these two sweet babies.
"I love you!"  The little grey ears and eyebrows and paws - show that there is some Siamese from his dad probably.
Best buddies!
SIL Bill in Delano yesterday with his many blessings - You truly are blessed sweet Bill!  Happy Birthday!  15 month old Regina is so happy that she has such a wonderful dad!!!
I am obsessed with this view from the Parsonage!  Ruth says that if anything happens to dad that my bags will be packed to move in here the next week....
Now the Chandelier in the dining room, and also a larger dining room table.   Our quad group gathered here last night and they all got to see Ruth's new bathroom/laundry room in the basement and all were impressed by her vision once again and willingness to do all the work.
Some memories from last year of our 4th set of twins.  We have about 3 sets so far this year and yesterday they had 4 new calves.
4H with her calf last year.

Sharing these calf pictures seems to allow me to bring up the first reading today from Isaiah 49 speaking about how the Lord cares for us and shows us the path to take in our lives down the narrow path dragging/carrying our Most Cherished Cross...

But Zion said, "The LORD has forsaken me;
my Lord has forgotten me."
Can a mother forget her infant,
be without tenderness for the child of her womb?
Even should she forget,
I will never forget you.  Isaiah 49

Did Isaiah know that it was going to hugely happen in the future that many would forget about the child in their womb, and selfishly have anything but tenderness for that sweet LIFE in her womb?

Sweet Tom and Snowball
With mom and 2 of my brothers at the cemetary- we had to have an open casket to bid our mother good-bye to her.

Yesterday was the 3 year anniversary of the cemetery service we were forced to have because of covid for my dear mother.  No snow but it was plenty cold and Fr John could not be within 10 feet of us even outside!

It seems appropriate to write about my mother and how open she was to life as a Protestant minister's wife!  She gave birth to 8 and then said "yes" to adopting 4 siblings that had lost their parents in a car accident.  She and Our Lady are my role models for "Yes" to LIFE!  How heart wrenching when so many take the life of that baby in their wombs!  Lord, help them to "see" that it is a LIFE and find that tenderness for the child in their womb.
Yes, I got carried away, but they were just so sweet and soft and loving.

There is exciting news of an ultrasound machine coming to Marshall with Choices Pregnancy Center out of Redwood Falls - if that mother can see her baby she can realize it is a LIFE and love it!

Oh my!
If kittens could smile - I think this is about as close as it can get!
Brother Victor today and dad underlined some key words...

Oh dad that last line from St Charles de Foucauld is our cup of tea - "Dear last place."  Lord, help me to strive always for the last place in all things. May I die to self so that you may live in me and use me as your hands and feet and voice.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barbara and the 34

A few more for good measure!

O God, you are my God,
earnestly I seek you...  Psalm 63:1

"Bear Christ in heart, mind, and will.
Bear Him in your mind
by His teaching.
Bear Him in your will
by your observance of the Law.
Bear Him in your heart
by the Holy Eucharist."

Ven Pope Pius XII
