Feast day in Lent - The Annunciation!/Soon on the road/Blue eyed girl Lucy - +JMJ+

Here is our sweet Lucy Marie in grandpa's arms last night at the fish fry!  She is now 10 weeks old and she smiled for grandma talking to her and smiling at her.  It is quite evident that she will have blue eyes and is the first granddaughter to have blue eyes in the last almost 17 years!  Her cousin, Mary Lanoue, will be 17 in a month and is our only other blue eyed granddaughter.  This is so special about her, but they all are special in their own ways!

Tom is 16 months and Lucy is 2 1/2 months.  He will be the group of 3 babies that will grow up with Lucy and play with her when the cousins grow up together and share our family times. 

Gina and Maggie are the other two babies that are our youngest grandchildren.  

Our 4 babies together a few weeks ago for Mary's Confirmation!  LOVE this pictures of LIFE!!!  

Oh, those blue eyes!

Sad but unfortunately true.  How did it ever come to this?  That human life is less valued than even animals?!?

Until Lucy she was alone as a blue eyed granddaughter.  Now we have 2!  

So beautiful inside and out!  Always love your Church, Mary and look to your namesake, Mary the Mother of God always with you and taking all your needs to Jesus!  

Today is a Feast day for Mary as it is the Annunciation to Mary that she would give human LIFE to God in her womb!  My prayer for our Mary is that she also will say "Yes." to the Lord's plan for her life!  No doubt it will be wonderful and so special!

I watched Cow TV and saw the 60th calf born!  Paul reported that "we are 1/3 of the way done now."  That means we have close to 120 yet to calf, so we are vigilant and praying for all to go well.  

Calf #60 here safe and healthy!  He was standing up just minutes after birth which is so amazing!  

Tom smiles and runs to his old grandma!  I pick him up some days at The Parsonage after mass and water fitness.  

Tractor on grandma's lap or else Tom will sit there with his blankets and snuggle as we watch the cows ready to calve on Cow TV.

Oh my!  I am so humbled by the love this little boy has for his old grandma!  He is total gift to our farm family!

Getting more comfortable takes time and patience.  

Giving the baby kittens kisses after he takes them out of their basket by a leg or around the neck.  It seems that babies are made of rubber.  He loves them soooo much!!!

Spring is officially here, and we are longing to see greening pastures with no snow!  

Grandpa is at the end of the driveway moving the mountain of snow.  

Nothern lights have been in the area the last 2 nights!  Here is a picture taken at Mackinaw Straits in Michigan.  

The rosary is repeating The Gospel words over and over again in prayer.  I am excited as hubby and I are traveling in our chapel on wheels to attend a fund raiser for our Delano family's Catholic School - St Maximilian Kolbe.  Pat and I will listen to The Catechism in a year as we travel and I will have my Rosary beads in my fingers and prayers for my family in my heart!  

So amazing to have this high Feast Day in the midst of Lent!  As Fr Shawn - go ahead and eat meat!

Praying for Fr Denny with 7 Sisters yesterday - I do the stations for the 4th Sorrowful Mystery - Carrying the Cross.  I smile inside as dad and I would do this as we shared The Rosary on my porch each Tuesday and Friday on the 4th Sorrowful.  I know that dad is traveling with me around the church in prayer!  As I reached the 12th Station of Jesus dying on the Cross - around the corner were two windows side by side - Simon and Thomas - Ruth and Paul's oldest and youngest - Simon is 18 and is Thomas' Godfather!  A special bond of Faith and prayer for their lifetime!

A facebook picture of my brother, Philip, and a plate of food from his Phil's Grill restaurant that has since closed.  My brother in now a butcher at a local farm near Taylors Falls, MN.  He is the oldest of the brothers in my family - I am the oldest of 12, and we now number 140+.  Many prayers!  I am forever grateful for my parents bringing us into The Catholic Church 51 years ago!  Each day since has been the greatest gift - the pearl of great price!

Now that is snow!  Pat had to move all this snow for the cows and calves to be able to come of the barn!  When he is determined to accomplish something - there is no holding him back!
